Hello,

from some time I am only using link on the top right - https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/discover/unread/ - to check new forum posts.

And I was surprised that no one post MOCs for a very long time. And then I was just manually checking every subforum and sub-subforum and noticed that there are a lot of new MOCs posts. They just don't show in unread content. I've never seen them there.

It is a bug? Or a feature?

An extra question:

How to setup some search link to show all unread MOCs from all subforums?

Going one by one is tedious, to many of them. Some of the sub forums like Star Wars got another subforum (Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game) where there are also a lot of great MOCs.

I need help ;)

Top right link seems to work fine for me, including MOC topics.
Could it be you accidentally clicked the link directly next to it, that flags the entire board as read?

[edit] If it should be important at some point, I'm using Firefox.

Hello, sorry for the late reaction.

I would also recommend to double check as this "should work". Also if you have a second browser installed, I would ask if you may give that a try as well (as Chrome was disappointing me in that regard suprisingly in another topic).

If the issue is still persisting for you, give me another mention for us taking deeper tours to find out what may go wrong.

It is the opposite, I never clicked "flag as read". Maybe that's a problem. It is "to heavy" ?

Now I see some MOCs on the list but I have feeling it is like 10% of everything posted.

I will do test - flag all as read and I come back to you in few days.

P.S. Using Opera/Windows.

Thanks for doing further testing, also with other browsers, that is appreciated very much.

I know the follow may easily be understood as "talking down things" - and I explicitly want to say nooooope, taking you serious - but right now by the singular report (or other users not recognizing as sharp as you did).

I am overdue with a fix for the other issue of old links being broken currently - honestly this is affecting more users, so this is currently my highest urgency for now. In conseuqence I would put this reported incident only after I got the other one fixed. I hope this is understandable.

Sure, no problem.

So here are my first tests after flag as read everything.

So here you can see my settings, basically like show me everything unread.

And here is for example LEGO Historic Themes, as you can see there are 3 unread topics

aAkRuMH.png

But in the https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/discover/unread/ (which are the settings above from) it shows only Lord of the Rings one. Various Tutorials and MOC Forestman are not there. So the problem exist for sure.

Will check later on other browser but i don't think it is browser fault. To me sounds more like server side.

Thanks, I would wish every user would give such detailed reports... 😍

Really weird it is. Having a difference in which posts it is working from which forum will help me already to check further what may bugging your account there - it is at least the 1st report into that direction to my knowledge.

He isn´t the only one anymore at least, as I am having the same issue - I am mainly browsing the forum using this function and was quite surprised about the silence here lately (though can´t say for how long exactly).

When I check the topics that I can see when clicking unread content, those topics all seem to be older topics with several replies - so my best guesses are it is either that I can just see older topics, or maybe even only topics I already visited before? I would tend to the former though, since a topic which I´ve read yesterday wasn´t in the unread content either.

The issue isn´t just affecting unread content btw but the whole activity stream.

Also, I suspect it might actually be the same issue like posted there:

It’s missing from my main profile page (https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/profile/177480-jliu15/) under “Activity” if you scroll down to it.. If I post or edit something, it’ll show up briefly before it disappears again. For replies in older topics like this one it stays, but for my two most recent topics they disappeared.

Here’s a screenshot from this morning when it did show up under “Activity” before it disappeared

I had a similar thing happen with an unread topic, or better said, a New Topic that showed up in unread contents, but isn´t in the activity stream now either. Also that replies in older topics are shown but newer seem to disappear sounds familar too...

Hope this helps in solving the issue.

@aFrInaTi0n I think @Black Falcon is right. The topic creations date seems to be main issue here. I went thru 20 topics from unread content and they all old topics...

Even when you check out my previous message with screenshot - only visible topic was old one and other 2 were new.

I have added a scheduled nightly restart for a service running in the background & being responsible for caching and session data.

Reason for this is I found some issue in the logs of that service - with the scheduled restart I would like to test if that allows a better outcome - or if not related at all :pir-sweet:

So @Kalais, @Black Falcon please test over the next days if the behavior is working better for you now.

@aFrInaTi0n Awesome. I'll be checking in the next few days and I'll let you know is it working.

P.S. I even stopped browsing this forum. For me it's like the main feature of every forum. I hope it works fine now.

P.P.S. Don't have much time atm but I did some super fast tests and went thru some pages and I see now new topics with MOCs from November so I think it might be fixed :)

Will come back later with deeper analysis ;)

Hi, thanks for the update. But sadly, it only partly helped. While I had had threads that were created in November in the unread content list, none of the topics created this week were shown there.

Wow, is that now an accurate description of our issue or just AI-Spam because of the mixed in "construction takeoff" link?! I seriously am confused... :pir_wacko:

It appears to be a spam bot.

Hey all, wanted to let you know that the entire admin team is aware of this problem. I've been struggling with it myself :sceptic:  But @aFrInaTi0n and @Jim are on the case and hopefully we'll get some help from our provider soon!

Little update on the topic: With the help of @MKJoshA & the other examples here we think we have somehow narrowed it down already, from @MKJoshAs observation only posts from beginning 2016 onwards are not showing for his account.

It has been mentioned before by @Black Falcon via another post from another user quoted. @JLiu15 one of your observations has been mentioned, I did not find the original of yours within your thread - I would like you and the other people affectedf to help checking if your accounts are showing 2025 entries still, but none since beginning of 2026 - that would be helpful for having more than one account with this symptoms.

I am planning to create a ticket at the vendors support site the next days, as we have now enough similarities to show them our issues.

Other question I may have already.. As I am personally a big fan of data privacy and bein transparent before any action takes place: The vendor may ask for access to our systems for their investigations, if needed. If someone can think of their support (again, at worst if needed) login in with some user accounts to check the symptoms and possible other details "from the user perspective".

If anybody can think of allowing this for his account, some written reply here in the thread would be nice for having more than one singular opportunity (@MKJoshAs profile, as he volunteered here already - role model as always, thanks in advance already :pir_laugh2:).

Hopefully they may tell a simple fix like "may it be you are just stupid, as you have overlooked that one place in the configs which does the trick?!" -> Would be the solution I prefer as no big fixes would be needed. :pir-huzzah1:

I will give another update the next days.

You can use my login if it helps. I have been following this thread with interest as I experience this problem every day. Let me know if there is anything I need to do.

Thanks already for volunteering @idlemarvel. Nothing to do from your side - I just want to have some preemptive agreement for any user to secure as much privacy and data security for all of us - even against the vendor in troubleshooting reasons.

For myself I consider this thr baseline of my job / profession of allowing as much service to every user, like I would fight for my own rights. Be always be assured of that please. :pir-triumph:

Also thanks @Toastie!

For me it shall never be about "nothing to hide" as this may be used by some parties to claim others may have to hide things - for me it is always principles of privacy which need to be respected as the bottom line towards any individual. There shall theoretically never be any need for one to explain against (and for) it.
