Well, maybe it's again lego botching up the build;).

Since lego released the T Model with illegal building solutions:/.

It's a pity the chain doesn't drive any piston engine. I feel like this is the weakest model of the bunch. 5 newer reddish orange parts and 2 cheap spur gears don't make this 7€ set a bargain either. The yellow axles and the blue gears stick out like sore thumbs. I get that bevel gears don't work with chainlinks, but lbg 3L axles would have made a huge difference. The next magazine should be released end of April as the cadence is every 2 month.

Are L0002291 and 412602 the same set? Why did they stop following the previous numbering pattern?

You could be referring to the same model. At the magazin publishers web site, you do not get any search result(s) for "412602" but for L0002291:

Why did they change? I don't know. But both Rebrickable and Brickset database are using the "L0029..." as identifier for Technic magazins sets.

That's right. For the magazine sets, the numbering ran from 412401 to 412403 starting in 2024, and from 412501 to 412506 in 2025.

Now 2026 has just kicked off, and we initially still used 412601, but the numbering has now switched to this alphanumeric format.

That 14x10 wheel came out this year. It has one side made to fit City axle and the other side standard Technic pin hole, which is pretty clever.
Design nr. 5807, costs 0,23€ and is currently available on PaB.


I'll do the Go-Kart next.

I think that wheel has a larger diameter?  Probably the same functionality though.  So combination stud & city bar axle hole, then pinhole with 6 spokes that can be an antistud.

I tried to scale the pictures the same, which puts it at ~11.5mm to the one on the London Bus being 14mm diameter.

@Stereo Yes, I imported both 5807 and 5809 to Studio, and the rim has to be smaller to fit the 14x11 tire. So it's the old 11x12 style rim similar to 6014 but with pin hole and City bar axle hole and like you said 11.5x12

I wonder how much gap there would be around the 1x1 round tile if we put one on the new 11dia x 12 rim. 

Of course, you can still push it out using a bar but I think lego would be too worried that that isn't enough, and so would leave a tiny gap assuming the wheel is still large enough to accommodate one

They had a knob wheel for their ratcheting mechanism, though, didn't they? I'd probably count that as a gear.

(When my buddy and I parted together the Mustang from his collection, he didn't have any knob wheels handy, so we used a 24T gear and a modified ratchet. It seemed to work better with more teeth!)
