I thought it was leaked images in November before an official reveal in December

The official images will be released around Dec. 2. If some leakers are exposed on the previous date, their actions are illegal because they did not comply with the embargo.

If we end up having at least a set with the new Smart Brick we might get an early reveal of said set. But most probably we'll see a description of most sets on Instagram. But at this rate we might get the official reveal of 1HY Sets and 2HY Set Names at the same time. 

Edit: Reveal season came early for some themes, hopefully City gets the same treatment

Lots and lots of vehicles. 

But it's interesting there's a big focus on airport and more trains, with Space mostly retired.

Summer likely has more buildings with those unnamed june sets.

If you are actually interested about CITY theme... you should watch these interviews. Part 1 and Part 2. That guy came from Speed Champions to CITY. He is the BOSS and in charge what city will change in next years.

They are changing everything. I'm interested about Exploration subtheme. There are some sci-fi elements in it. CITY could easily be more popular than SW and HP together. I hope we could get CITY monorail.

Weren't there some test ran Smart Brick sets for City based around exploration? I imagine if that subtheme is coming it'll be close to those

Jungle Exploration had 3 sets with smart bricks. They tested that system in UK. Next year will be all about Smart Bricks. Still I don't know will they release those 3 sets at all.

I recently saw the second interview and oh boy!

There is indeed hope for what’s to come, given their tactic to improve everything.

However I still can’t believe the Tower Set was supposed to be the city counterpart of Ninjago City.

It sure is nice to bring back older subthemes/sets that haven’t been touched for a while. Curious to see their take on regular trains and the airport itself.

Hope we see add-ons to the current vehicles.

They said the Tow Truck is tied to the scrapyard but we could sure get a new Workshop.

Hospital as well given the huge amount of medical vehicles we’ve been getting recently.

This is just a theory but there might be a possibility of us having 3 more sets in August. Seeing the following pattern:

2020-Elite Police

2023-2k Racers

2026?

And keep in mind the current style of sets(and new head designer)started in Summer’23.

They actually explain that too... what was the idea behind it. Probably their time schedule was just too fast... BUT we should look the BIG picture. CITY is really evolving. It is not just words. Quality is already high and it is getting even higher 2026- ... trust me. There is this new BOSS from Speed Champions. He has a vision. He has super talented team around him.

I wonder why they stopped having many different minifigs and gear in the City Advent calendars? They used to have police officers, firefighters, construction workers etc. Now they only have Christmas themed minifigs and animal suits. Nothing wrong with that but I have little use for such stuff and would like to see a return to a mix of regular minifigs and Christmas themed ones.

Personally I like the minifigs in this years calendar much better than the Police, Fire & Construction Workers they were using for a few years.  I generally liked last years calendar but wasn't happy about the ugly sweater torsos depicting fire & police symbols.  I skipped the city one for a few years prior to last year because I thought the theming was lame.  They are advent calendars after all so they definitely should be Christmas themed in my opinion rather than generic people & builds.

I’m hoping to see new seagull mold for Coast Guard. I never like the rubbery one - whe the time flows, it won’t stand on a stud firmly.  Plus wing-spreading bird molds have been introduced over years - owl, raven, eagle, etc. - they are in hard plastic material.  Let’s form a “New Seagull” movement!

I'd be down for a poodle mold. I also hope we can get a hairpiece with a ribbon.

I agree. I think 60449 is a prime example of that and one of the worst regular City sets ever made. I also think that the Stuntz subtheme should never have been made because the sets were hideous.
