The execution of the Pokemon will make or break this theme... but considering they apparently all have the Smart Brick I'm expecting poor quality and expensive unfortunately. Only interested in Mewtwo's Labratory at this time. Quote

I think only Pikachu does, the others are merely compatible with the Smart Bricks. At least that‘s what the list implies Quote
cosmic Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 So I have always wanted a Pokemon line and tbh I am quite bummed that they chose to go the super mario route and have buildable characters. Tbh I don't particularly feel this saves on costs for the company because many of these buildable figures go on to have specialized moulds anyways. I guess its somewhat streamlined since most characters have the same feet and arms and the rest is brick built over at Mario, its still not the ideal situation for me as a fan. From Pokecenters, Gyms, marts, homes to even the Battle Arenas, there are plenty of buildings that a minifigure in the Lego Pokemon line can and should interact with. Not only that but manydesigns can be brick built, its really just the heads that needs specialized moulds. What aches me is knowing some of these brick built Lego Pokemon will get specialized moulds, making this feel even more unnecesary because we could just get specialized moulds but make it figure scaled!! Onix, Gyarados, Steelix, Snorlax and more can and should be brick built and still be figure scaled! You could say the same about Charized its really just the head we need. I wanted a Pokemon CMF series, unstead we're basically getting an official vsrsion of how Mega Bloks handled the license. No finesse and no taste just a monsy grab that won't live up to the hype. Really hope they ditch this approach and give fans what they want as the years go by. Quote

Really hope they ditch this approach and give fans what they want as the years go by. As a fan of how the Mario theme has handled things I feel the opposite. I think "minifig-scale" would largely be a suboptimal approach to Pokémon, allowing for less detail and articulation for most Pokémon (excepting those big enough that they could be brick-built anyway). Even if a Pokémon theme does end up needing specialized molds for certain features those are still likely to be more versatile and useful for MOCing than something like a solid single-piece Pikachu would have been. This approach would also make it easier to build additional Pokémon or customize the ones that come in sets, instead of being constantly reliant on an inherently limited range of molded figures to add to your collection. Things like locations and human characters might sometimes work better with minifigures, but I don't know if that would be worth it if the buildability/playability of the Pokémon themselves suffer for it. Ultimately they're more of a draw and more of the focus of the franchise than locations or human trainers are. Quote

At least that‘s what the list implies In the leak, usual place, it states that "All summer sets are Smart Play sets" which they state would "allow the Pokemon to react to the sets and each other" so it sounds like they either include them or bricks that would interact with them - which is certainly going to be a factor in how the figures and sets are designed along with the pricing. BrickBob Studpants Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 According to @a_clay_brick, some of the Pokémon sets should be revealed this month, which makes sense considering the first wave‘s release date. However, he also implies there could be minifigs How would that work? Do the three 18+ sets come with random trainers? Quote
Felkin Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Is there any chance that the third CMF series this year could be Pokemon themed? The 30th anniversary video games come out in autumn 2026, so a tie-in CMF series would make sense, and CMFs typically have more budget for new molds like minifig-scale animals (or pokemons). Quote
Black Falcon Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Not going to say it is impossible, but I kinda think we would have heard if that one is Pokemon by now already, but who knows Quote
Sinistereo Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I wish we were getting sets based off the Generation 10 games coming out this year Quote
