People wondering if Belle's blue dress might be in the wardrobe. It looks like it doesnt open and is brick built so I think that may be a no.

The wardrobe is connected to a hinge so it can swing out the entire thing like a door. It's hiding something, it's just a matter of what.

Did we? In he end everyone has a different impression of the films and to me of all the films Disney made in the last time Raya is the one I liked the most. I hope they at least include her in the next CMF.

Yeah - maybe I'm biased, but I did not like the film at all. Raya herself was at least okay, though, and I wouldn't be mad if she were to take a CMF slot - but I wouldn't be super excited either.

At the very least, I think that Encanto outdoes Raya by a mile, even though she isn't technically a princess.

Slightly off topic, anyone else think the legs in the new Jurassic World set 76975 would work for Nani? Can't tell if the skin tone would match but the side printing would be an improvement over what we got

Also, looking at the 360 spin, I don't think the Wardrobe is hiding anything behind it. She butted up against the wall and seems to be built off a plate. The hinge is how she attaches to the wall so she stands upright.

Wow, what a stunning set. I adore how the castle looks. Really detailed and clean-looking.

Minifigures are great too. The set itself doesn't really intetest me as something I'd buy, but I'm glad Disney is getting such awesome sets. (If only the Lilo & Stitch one was even half as good...)

If you look at the side there's a window piece, so there's a hollow space at least 2 studs deep behind her.

Well different tastes - Encanto wasn´t that bad but for me it doesn´t come near Raya, but probably if you expect the typical Disney Movie anyways, than Encanto is more what you would expect for sure.

I've been thinking about the returning minifigures.

First we got the Villains set with Maleficent, Gaston, the Witch and Jafar as a genie. Gaston and the Witch have been reused, and we could say that Maleficent was meant to be reused in the cancelled dragon set. Jafar as the genie was probably meant to be exclusive and complement the CMF figs (Aladdin, Jasmine, human Jafar and Genie).

Then we got the Magic of Disney set with Lilo, Belle, Gepetto and Bruno. Belle and Lilo have been reused. Gepetto was probably meant to be exclusive and complement the CMF figs (Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket). So maybe this means that Lego has plans for reusing Bruno soon and next year we might get the Madrigal House with minifigures (unless it's cancelled and changed to minidolls like the dragon). Especially if next year we get another CMF series which includes some Encanto characters that could be reused in the set (like Tiana was reused in the castle).

Same for me. I didn't like Encanto at all. Raya's not a great movie but I did enjoy it way more than anything Disney has released in the last decade or so. But then again, I haven't liked anything Disney has made since Bob Iger took over.

I'm probably going to skip the Lilo & Stitch house myself. I was looking forward to that set but the house is too small and they did an awful job depicting Lilo, Nani, and David. The latter two with those weirdly printed legs and Nani wearing pink instead of orange.

If you don't mind her wearing blue boots, then it would probably work better.

I like the Beast castle set and will buy it in April, but I wish it was the cursed version, using the new gargoyle pieces.

@strangely ahhh yeah I see what you mean about Wardrobe seeming to hide something .. there's definitley some sort or recess behind her and the smooth floor tiles allow for the wardrobe to smoothly swing out. Although the 3 other outfits Belle wears throughout the film aren't all gonna be in there sadly, Blue village dress, Green Library dress, Pink Something There dress.

The fact that the Lego site listing says there are 10 minifigures, yet the description uses the wording '10 characters' .. sorry Lego, but Chip ( and he's not on his own ) isn't a minifigure.

Noticed they make no mention of being able to 'transform' the Beast, even though the media pack and videos show the secret hideaway where you keep his hair, and he's on the back of the box too.

Looking through the full official pictures and videos, it really is great. When I first saw the 6" deep dimensions, I was worried that it would be far too shallow, but the lifestyle video especially shows off the scale and how nicely it's put together. Some of the play features are terrific.

Yes, this is really odd. 10 figures, then 10 characters. I also don't think they can make their mind up on this, as the site lists Lumière, Fifi, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts, but the lifestyle video puts Chip and Mrs. Potts on a cart together and has Sultan the dogstool in there too. But not a character?

Same. It's the biggest disappointment of the year for me.

When I saw the set name, I thought "Surely that's a must-buy set." Lilo & Stitch is still my favourite Disney movie, so I thought I'd get it no matter what. Well, turns out, they messed it up so badly that I actively don't want it. The minifigures are mostly awful (especially Nani and Lilo), and the build sucks—and worst of all, looks nothing like their actual house.

Ordered my Lilo and Stitch House... gotta support the line, but also I'm a minifig collector.

I'm pretty sure some fan will MOC it on Rebrickable to come up with a 'better' set.

It's one of my favorites too and straight from my childhood. As soon as I saw the price tag, I knew the set wouldn't do justice to the house. Especially after that incredible Lego Ideas submission a year or two ago which was rejected by Lego. If it was just the house being small and inaccurate, I could still take it, but it's the way they skimped on the minifigures that really bothers me. And they've messed up Lilo twice now, even though she's different in both sets.

I didn't get the Target Disney set idea because wasn't a fan of how they messed up Lilo, Simba, and Geppetto. For that matter, I still haven't bought the X-Mansion set because the lackluster treatment of most of the minifigures doesn't have me in any immediate rush.

If there's one film that reminds me of childhood, it's this one. Hearing any of the songs brings out nostalgia in me like nothing else.

As for the set, I didn't mind the price. As a counterargument, I'll say that the Up! house is, in my opinion, one of the best sets this theme has ever had. It's compact and severely undersized, but I don't treat it as a scale-accurate model. More like a small display set. (Also, I usually prefer buying smaller sets, so it undoubtedly works for me.)

I don't think the size of the house is the problem—for me it's how it was built. The fact that it's just standing on a flat base, without any of the stairs, the garage etc. already completely ruins it. It robs it of at least half of its uniqueness. The proportions are awful, the windows look bad, and the railings are poorly built.

Just a mess all around—but I wouldn't even mind it if the minifigures were stellar... but Lilo looks horrendous, Nani looks really bad, and David is not much better. The leg choices for all of them are baffling, they couldn't even bother to do dual-moulding. Cobra and Stitch look good, but that doesn't make the others better—in fact, they are even worse in contrast.

I'm genuinely really sad, because I would've loved to have it—if it was good, that is. I guess the buildable Stitch will have to do...

Lego is counting some of the brick built characters as “mini figures“, but others not? Wardrobe and the chef are not counted in the character lineup? Maybe because they are built into the structure of the castle?

I'm the opposite. I prefer bigger sets, because even though they're not cheap, I'd rather have a large-scale model that includes everything or almost everything instead of a scaled-down version. I did like the Up house but I also felt it was too small and was missing some rather pivotal things. Like Ellie's chair, the stair lift, and even the handprints on the mailbox. That set was very popular so I can see it getting a larger model in the future. But I also think rather than getting multiple versions of a set, with each one getting bigger and better, it's easier for Lego to just make the perfect version once.

I think to include the staircase and garage section would require the set to be bigger because it would need more pieces to implement that stuff to elevate the height. Like you said, the entire shape of the house is more or less altered by removing that bent staircase and it makes the house look almost unrecognizable and plainly generic. Maybe I'll get the set if there's a good MOC on Rebrickable, as @hikouki said, that is more movie-accurate.

But that won't fix the minifigures. I don't see why they can't make custom molded hair for Lilo and Nani instead of reusing Pocahontas' hair over and over. They reused her hair for one of the Encanto minidolls but it actually made sense there. It doesn't make sense for either Lilo or Nani. The lack of dual molded arms for Lilo twice now is irritating because there aren't any existing minifigures with that particular skin tone and red sleeves that could function as a replacement. Nani and David look so cheaply made. Like how bad Cyclops in the X-Mansion looks with his hips not being colored yellow but having yellow printed on the front. Stitch and Cobra Bubbles are well done but I already have both previous Stitch minifigs and Cobra Bubbles by himself isn't enough of a draw to get the set.

I feel Lego has been skimping out on their Disney minifigures for a while now. In the Target set, Geppetto is perfect from the torso up but then they give him plain black legs. I understand it's unlikely he would get dual molded legs outside of a CMF but they didn't even bother to print his stockings and shoes. And even for the Beast in the upcoming BATB set, they just reused his rather cartoony minidoll head.

I think that's the reason. The characters built into the set aren't considered to be "minifigures."

While they reused the piece, at least the printing is very different!

I'm pretty sure they couldn't have reused this head even if they wanted to, because minidolls have a much thinner attachment for their heads.

I was thinking that at first too, but the Beast head is actually like a helmet and goes over a minidoll/minifig head, hence they were able to reuse the piece!

Oh, that's actually quite unexpected. I guess it makes him really easy to turn into human form then.

The mini doll beast head sits perfectly well in that version, but on the mini figure, it sits too low.

This goes back to what @JeanGreyForeverwas saying that Lego does not put much love into their Disney mini figures.

There were also people who posted here about making custom Beast minifigures by putting the minidoll Beast head onto a minifigure torso. Like Dale from Chip 'n' Dale.

The eyes are a bit different. But I really dislike the blending of the minidoll style into the minifigure sets. Like Simba I think looks really out of place amongst the other Disney animals because he's clearly a mold from the Friends/Princess minidoll sets.

Remember the little converation about new skirt pieces, the new LOTR set looks as though there's a new skirt piece for Rosie and Mrs Proudfoot ?? Interesting 🤔
