Has there been any more news about the Spiderverse CMF? Seems to have been quite a while now...

Regarding Thing, I think it's time for Lego to introduce a new piece or mid-sized minifigure mold to adjust to these kinds of scale differences. Too many times now there have been characters who don't require a bigfig size but are clearly larger than a regular human. I think simply a piece that buffs up the torso (Azog from The Hobbit) will get you a long way, add slightly bigger arms (Hagrid's) and you have a character that can utilise minifigure legs but still looks overall bigger without looking out of place.

This also ties into my concern on how they're gonna adapt Miguel O'Hara, a character that is bigger and buffer than the other characters, but not by too much. I think making a simple minifigure out of him will make him look to small compared to the others, so a piece to make him slightly bulkier would do the trick.

EDIT: Quickly drew something up, you wouldn't really need a lot, a simple change can go a long way here

One of the minifigs with the Lego ideas prize machine has very Gwen spiderverse hair. Not a piece I recognise (though I’ve been wrong before). Perhaps a sneak peak of what we will get with the CMF?

It's a Friends hairpiece from a couple years ago, most commonly used in dark orange but used recently in that same bright light yellow in the new Malfoy Manor set on Luna

The new printed piece from that set that instantly caught my eye was the shield in green with an octopus printed on it... that's just begging to be used for a Hydra Cap custom

Also the viking helmets in bronze could make for decent Asgardian soldiers

If Rocket Raccoon, who stands about leg height to the other Guardians, was made a minifig with short legs, I don't think LEGO are going to worry about the size difference between Miles and Miguel

I do like the concept though, but more for characters like Thing or Korg. Maybe even War Machine too, since LEGO don't want to use the Wrecker armour piece. Endgame Iron Patriot definitely should've used it, that figure needed some bulk (brick built mech aside)

They really need to space out the release of sets... other than the CMF series I'm not sure we have anything else to really discuss until we get to the 2026 sets. I miss when things used to leak as it kept these discussions active.

Marvel CMF series 2 was revealed in August for a September release. I'd imagine it'd be the same for the Spiderverse CMF series.

What I'm hearing is lego is going to make Miguel a $15 mech to display the size difference between him and Miles.

Thank You All for the cursed Reed Head ideas for when I get the Galactus set to display as a comic set. All I need to do is buy tons of the heads and copies of the set to make a council of Reeds with all the heads suggested :roflmao:

But in all seriosuness, I'm debating between these two heads for Reed, and which one would you all prefer?

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Jor-El (5001623) - Sealed Brand NEW 673419200141| eBay

OR

LEGO Super Heroes Lex Luthor polybag • Set 30164 • SetDB
I feel like Jor El's head would be good for Reed when he's bearded, which he has spotted that look in some comics, but I think the Lex Polybag head would give more of a retro feel.

Rocket was a tragedy on its own really, for all the clever mold usage Lego has done in the past years, they could've come up with something far more appealing for him... It actually stopped me from ever buying a set with him in it, despite him being one of my favourite characters.
Barring Miguel's height, I'm also curious to see how they will tackle his arm swords. Lego is not necessarily known for arm attachments, so I fear we might be missing out on those as well... The rest of the characters seem fairly easy to accomplish, Spider-Punk's spikes might be an issue but if they follow the Fortnite design they'll be good. Despite Pav being my favourite, I'm mostly looking forward to Webslinger, what a fun design that could be!

Honestly webslinger (if he's the cowboy, which he is, right?) would feel a little incomplete without the horse ( widow? I think) but I don't think they'd put a whole megablocks horse in a CMF box. Maybe they'll surprise me though.

Yeah the videogame mister incredible one was just horrible, but something more streamlined and simple like this might work pretty well.

That said I don't think 2099 is actually one of the characters that needs this IMO.

Please do.

I think they both work for those versions. I almost would say a more expressionless head like the generic rebel head that was suggest WOULD work for reed given I personally would want a neutral default face, but I've totally seen Lex's expression on Reed in comics before.

Yeah he's not that much bigger than normal humans- I think part of the reason people remember him being so "big" is because most spiders are skinny and most of the shots of him close to people are when he's fighting a 15 year old- and I think it's also more stylistic than "real"- like if these variants popped up in the MCU I think Miguel would still just be a bigger guy, not like a hulk or even MCU thing.

They put half a horse in the foil bags with the Centaur... But I agree that getting an entire horse might be wishful thinking. More realistic might be a horse head on a stick, or just including the horse as a photo (like Gleek was with TLBM2).

I vote Jor-El. Lex has a bit of "angry clone head" syndrome that makes it look pretty generic, but Jor-El feels a lot more unique.

Looks like some of the Villains for Brand New day have been leaked by someone at the Disney blockbuster show. Not 100% sure of validity and won’t say just in case people don’t want to know. But very cool selection and at least 2 new characters we haven’t gotten before

That’s an interesting choice for the villains. I can’t say I know much about them, but glad they’re still going with new villains with each film (something that can’t be said for the Batman movies). Hopefully we get comic based versions of them at some point.

This is an undisputed win for the MCU, the world's second-strongest villain (After 8-Ball) is finally joining the universe.

Scorpion and Tombstone

are cool too, I guess...

Wait what? I heard about the other 3 villains, but Big Wheel is in this too? Now THATS how you top NWH

Interesting rumour!

Spoiler
  • Scorpion makes perfect sense since Gargan already appeared in Homecoming.
  • Tombstone is an interesting choice given his previous appearances in ITSV and the recent YFNSM show.
  • Never heard of Boomerang before. Did Captain Boomerang get demoted and transferred to Marvel? Kinda funny how many DC and Marvel characters have their unambiguous respective counterparts on the other side.

No, Big Wheel is being saved as the big bad for the next three phases: The Big Wheel Saga.

Unfortunately it's not big wheel- theatre projectors wouldn't be able to process his might and they'd explode, preventing the movie from being shown- but it's the next best villain (aside from 8-ball)

The character you don't know was Peter's roommate at one point, which sums up the character pretty well since he was literally living with spider-man without knowing it.

Welp, Avengers Doomsday just got yeeted from May 2026 to December 2026. I would'nt be surprised if this means that any sets that were planned will be delayed. Avengers: Secret Wars has also got delayed from May 2027 to December 2027. I don't expect either of them to stay as their currently scheduled release dates either, especially Avengers: Doomsday, as December 2026 is packed with a lot of films that would damage Avengers Doomsday's box office. Likely that Avengers: Doomsday gets pushed back to May 2027.

I really hope Lego is focusing on legacy sets because otherwise we are going to have a very empty 1HY 2026. Spider-man: Brand New Day is our first Marvel movie of 2026 now.

Honestly I'm completely bored of the legacy sets. The theme has become too oversaturated with the same MCU characters and builds over and over that there's little to be excited about anymore.

What Lego Marvel needs is variety. Spider-Man is currently having its best year since 2016 so I'd like to see that continue on into next year. Its long time the Avengers started transitioning over to the comic book versions and it goes without saying we need more X-Men and Fantastic Four sets.

There was a rumor we'd get another Fantastic Four set next year (still based off the film, of course). If true, I hope we get a new Human Torch, Silver Surfer, & HERBIE. A Fantasticar set and/or Baxter Building would be a fun addition.

I completely agree. MCU characters are just so trite.

Although I know a lot of Lego apologists here would disagree.

This is our best chance for Rivals sets. Come on lego. It'd print money. You know you want to make these. These would sell so well that you could probably find it in your heart to give them (gasp) leg printing whilst keeping your profit margins up.

(And coincidentally, Rivals includes Kaine (as a skin), Moon Knight, and Luna Snow, and Daredevil's in the files...)

Also would be a good chance to get a Thunderbolts set or two, but unfortunately the box office isn't correlating to how good that movie is so I don't think there's a realistic chance of sets for it...

It’s now releasing on the same day as Dune: Messiah. Is Marvel stupid?! The reason why Barbenheimer and Wickediator worked was because they were two completely contrasting genres. These are just 2 Blockbuster Action Movies. Dune even currently has a better track record among the GA than Marvel.

No, no, no. This is good news. If Superman succeeds Lego will now have the opportunity to make more than 3 Batman sets next year.

If Disney was smart, they’d move The Mandalorian & Grogu forward to capitalise on May 4th hype. (It is also going to be a bank holiday here in the UK)

Feels like we’re going to be very light on Marvel sets from now until Autumn 2026 with the Doomsday move. I was hoping Doomsday might have led to a reinvigoration of the theme but the extra delay doesn’t fill me with much hope. Let’s see - would love to be proved wrong. I will just have to enjoy my F4 and Spiderverse CMF.

Great news!! This means they have more time to ensure quality (especially in the script and visual effects departments), can get actors to appear that otherwise might not have, Mando&Grogu and Starfighter won‘t have to compete with Doomsday and Secret Wars respectively anymore, and Brand New Day is no longer set between them and has thus more liberties with where they take that story :sweet:

As far as LEGO is concerned, we don‘t usually get a full spring wave anyway and the films still get released the same year, so there likely won‘t be replacement waves. If there were, we’d suddenly get more sets than we would‘ve without the delay, and that makes little sense
