That trailer just made me even more hyped for the set when it's revealed, which should hopefully be very very soon considering we've already been getting reveals for August sets like the buildable K-2SO.

And Lego is going to be missing out on a huge opportunity if they don't make a second set with the Fantasti-Car and the Silver Surfer. It's practically begging to be made into a set (though I still wonder if it'll be able to have it's most iconic feature of splitting into 4 separate sections because currently, I don't see how it can).

Same, very excited for the set and the film. Especially curious to see how Mr Fantastic will look. Regular figure, Ms Marvel arms, some sort of brick-built system? I hope the first or third options personally.

The leaks say none of them are normal minifigures so I'd assume he'll have the Ms. Marvel arms.

I hope they do, but I also hope they make comic sets. We're getting the FF, but some of them don't really look like the comics- most should be fairly close or easy to make purist customs of, but Thing is pretty different. We're getting A silver surfer, but not The silver surfer. Even the fantasticar is notably different (I mean, it looks a lot better, but I just want my flying bathtub)

Believe me, no would be more first in line for a comic FF set than me. But Lego has always prioritized MCU sets over comic sets, which is why I NEED this set and the movie to be a hit, because then the chances of getting a comic set would be higher than ever. Johnny and Sue would be easy to double as purist comic minifigures, but Reed's going to need a head change so that he actually looks like Reed and not Pedro Pascal in a Fantastic Four costume. Ben could work either way for me since he's not that big in the comics, but I wouldn't say no to a comic big fig like the one from the Mission Demolition special. The Surfer is pretty simple to make as a purist figure too thanks to Zane's head and Orion from last year's CMF's

And I would do ANYTHING to get the flying bathtub version of the Fantasticar, especially since half the time whenever I see the MCU version, all I see is Bruce Wayne's limo from Batman Beyond:

If the Fantasticar makes it though the movie unscathed I could see it being part of the initial Doomsday wave, since Lego generally favours vehicles for the non-spoilery sets.

Yeah I plan on making the same change for reed- honestly he's the movie character I'm most unsure on anyway I see the idea behind casting him, I can see how it could work, but I felt like there was something off, and with the last trailer I finally got it- he always sounds sad. You can play Reed as emotionless, you can play him as a goofy dad, but sad isn't a way I'd play him.

I've resigned myself to no bigfig thing, but what I really need is for him to be orange and in boxer's trunks, not a sleeveless jumpsuit. I'm fine with it (and the voice, but just because I'm a fan of the actor from his roles in Punisher and The Bear) for the movie, but I want a comic Thing lego figure.

I never realized Orion's torso was silver, always thought it was DBG. That part's added to my next BL order!

The fantasticar is yet another situation where, as always, Rivals did it better. Hopefully 2026 sees some sets, maybe including the Fantasticar. Their suits wouldn't work as comic versions either (although they look awesome) but at least we'd have an orange Thing.

And when I see Mon's speeder, I see Space Doc Hudson

I am also just now realizing that the driver appears to be completely unable to see anything to his right. Assumably there's sensors or something but a very strange design choice to have half the windscreen opaque.

Good point, didn't even think of that. And even if it doesn't, there'll definitely be another one since the MCU/Disney loves its toys with how many new costumes they make for the heroes with each movie. And wow, forget my comparison, that speeder literally looks like the exact same thing. If Lego ever makes that as a set, I know what I'll be reusing.

I don't doubt that Pascal can act, my issue has always been his look. For some ungodly reason, he refuses to shave his mustache for ANY role lately. These are from 4 separate shows/films and you can't even tell the difference at first glance, it's just like the Rock in any movie he's in but Pedro refuses to lose the hair instead.

I need that classic look for Ben too, was never a fan of him wearing a sweater/singlet. The good news is that he'll be shirtless in the movie so maybe we'll get that as a minifig variant down the line. But fingers crossed for something comic F4 related next year now that they've crossed the MCU threshold requirement.

I gotta tell ya, this movie is looking fantastic.

A Thingless shirt A shirtless Thing exists in the MCU! Let the comic fans rejoice. (Just overlook the Silver Surfer with long, chromatic hair. This also means that Norrin Radd has to visit a barber’s to keep his bald cut, lol.)

Also, judging by the colour of boots shown in the trailer, Galactus is indeed purple. So, I say: HA! Told you so.

Not sure if I want a LEGO female Silver Surfer, even as someone who’s excited for this particular cinematic adaptation. I do prefer the new design (edit: of the Fantastic car I mean!), but I agree with MandoKnight that a comic-based set would be great as well—maybe even a bit better.

I slightly disagree. He reads (Reeds) as stressed moreso than sad; in his thoughts yet reserved, which can read (Reed) as depressed. Emotionless can be funny but for those who want Reed Richards as a main protagonist it would make him too much of a punch line.

Does the driver even need to see out of the right side, though? He’s probably got a path on the freeway designated by Imperial programming, so I don’t think it matters. It can be seen as a microcosm of Imperial oppression: become distracted by the beauty the Empire has built, meanwhile ignoring the suffering of people around you (for as we all know, traffic jams are the worst suffering known to man). Still, I agree it’s a bizarre design choice.

That was the Thing that stood out to me in the trailer.

As for Silver Surfer: who put the Marvel Rivals devs on costume design? I fear a lot of more rowdy audiences won’t treat this like a F4 movie, but rather turn it into Avengers: Goonsday

I’m very excited for the fantastic four set. It’s my most anticipated set this year. Ever since I first got the deadpool/wolverine/magneto set I’ve craved classic xmen and F4 minifigures. With this set and the Xmen mansion I’m very happy. Hopefully they show it soon but I would guess probably start of May.

Do we know from rumours whether H.E.R.B.I.E is included? He’s quite prominent in marketing for the movie but I feel Lego would have dined out on him being a “minifigure” so we would already know about him alongside the F4.

I am glad he eventually removes the shirt- this is the best looking Thing we've seen onscreen now, somebody's just gotta spray-paint him orange.

Norrin just has male pattern baldness or something.

Yeah- I like most of these characters because I like their stories and designs, and when I think Silver Surfer, I think Alex Ross's Marvels, so I want a surfer that looks like that.

I haven't seen much of that sort of reaction to her online, but if you think this is bad, you have no idea what rivals would do to both the male and female versions of these characters. They literally wrote in-game lore about Psylocke and Namor not being used to wearing normal amounts of clothes.

And let me be clear- aside from that one emma frost skin, which I think goes too far, I'm all for the general "dial everything up to 11" strategy. These are superheroes- I know I could go to the gym and pound down protein shakes every day for the rest of my life and I wouldn't get close to punisher's wider-than-his-head tree trunk arms, and that's sort of the point, I don't want my superhero game looking like avengers 2020 where the heroes are closer to my physique and resultingly just look like they're wearing halloween costumes.

It's possible, but I don't think we will. He could easily be brick-built and like you say not included as a "minifigure", so I could see him not having been noticed especially if the fig leaks were from the instructions like we saw with Thing, but at the same time I assume H.E.R.B.I.E. won't be participating in the combat and it'd be weird to have him just chilling in the background of a galactus fight on the box.

If the movie is successful and HERBIE is popular. I reckon we’ll get a Brickbuilt one in the Star Wars droid style, hopefully with a fig included

Trust me. You don’t want that. That’s how it starts. And then before you know it buildable characters take up between 1/4-1/5 of the theme’s annual set slots.

Except A) Marvel has a more limited selection roster of characters that could even be turned into buildable characters (hence us getting 3 Groots in the span of 2 years) and B) we already have buildable Marvel characters  We know they avoid humans (for good reason), so what would they even do? Howard the Duck? 7 more Groots?

MCU, yes. But they’ve only scratched the surface.

  • Spider-ham
  • Venomised Spider-ham
  • Spider-cat
  • Venomised Spider-cat
  • Lockjaw
  • Ultron
  • Antony
  • Princess
  • Lasher
  • Bats the ghost dog
  • Jeff!
  • Lucky the Pizza Dog
  • Rocket’s animal friends (comic versions or GoTG animated series)
  • Doop

Just to name a few. Venomised Groot’s existence suggests that all of these are now possible.

August. The only June sets are the Fantastic Four one and the Iron Man bust.

Hopefully we’ll see the Fantastic Four set soon. It’s weird how they stagger the reveals of sets coming the same month. Neither the FF set or the Iron Man bust are exclusives, are they?

I also find it odd that we haven’t gotten confirmed details for the Quinjet. It’s supposed to have 1,131 pieces, so I would have guessed it would be around $130, but with the 808-pieced Oscorp taking that price, who knows?

First look at Galactus, very very comic accurate. I really wonder how the set is going to portray him

Colors look a bit faded compared to the vibrancy of the Fantastic Four's costumes, but other than that, it's Galactus 1:1

All I want now is to know if either Silver Surfer or HERBIE will be in the set. I can see the latter being a small build.

Depending on how the set and the movie do, there's a chance that there could be a second, delayed set that fills in some of the gaps in the cast (like with No Way Home) - maybe we can get a normal-arm Reed, HERBIE, Silver Surfer, and their car in January?

Delayed sets like that are rare. Endgame and No Way Home were the only two and they were both highly anticipated films with huge spoilers. There’s basically zero chance of us getting another set based on this movie in the near future.

That said, the Fantastic Four are in Doomsday so maybe they’ll show up in sets for that.

I don't think they'd revisit this film anytime soon either. The main appeal of the film is Fantastic Four Vs Galactus. They don't really have a method of judging interest in this variant Silver Surfer - so it'd make more sense to just do a comic-inspired set featuring the iconic Silver Surfer instead, with big-fig Thing.

I kind of agree. I don't anticipate another F4 set in the immediate future, but I would also think Lego would want to take advantage of any new molds they make (like the Thing's new molded head cap). And there's also the possibility that after Avengers, Lego designs a wave of Multiverse Saga sets just as they've done the past few years with the Infinity Saga.
