Good one :laugh_hard:

Also, I forgor to mention, it‘s nice to see that they continue with the same portraits! Third year now, so it‘s a new record for these collectibles ^^ Good! Now I kinda feel silly though for having given up and ordering the two missing ones on Bricklink a month or so ago.

Thanks.

Third year already for the portraits! I have to say I am surprised we are getting them included as well as the patroni, but not complaining. Who were you missing out of interest? My favourites are Godric Gryffindor and Sir Cadogan.

Sir Cadogan and Salazar Slytherin :classic: I‘m glad they‘re all equally rare, but it‘s still tricky to get a full set just by collecting regular sets ^^

Some people may portray collectibles like these as an introduction of kids into gambling and the like, which is not fully without merit, but at least CMFs and these tiles (plus the chocolate frog cards and One Piece wanted posters) don‘t have chase figures/items. The same cannot be said for most competing collectibles

I expected the Potions Class to be an easy skip like the trunks, which where only good for the interior parts/figs to me, but have to say I am actually surprised how good it turned out. I am actually surprised we are going from a fun playset for kids over to child abuse, where is just don´t see the slightest implication for in the set - and also not in the films to be fair, aside from snape beeing a kinda creepy dude, honestly. Kinda surprised they choose trans light blue with opalescense for the Patroni, but then again, Designers love to bring in new colours for animals in general, than making the old version again.

Have to agree on the Boxart, that one looks really great.

I‘m not  As I said a coupla pages back, I think the only reason they haven‘t done that before was that the satin colour range was only introduced in 2020, by which point the stag patronus had already been released in glitter trans-light blue. They could‘ve switched colours for the subsequent patroni, but likely didn‘t for the sake of consistency, which I commend

Also, glitter trans-light blue might soon go the way of the dodo since it hasn‘t appeared in a set all year :shrug_oh_well:

All but the Hospital Wing images leaked on reddit this morning.

Kinda disappointed they used budget for a light brick in the Lovegood house instead of a Ron mini-figure, but all solid builds. There is a new death eater torso print along with the old one from Gringott's returning which is nice so you don't have clones of death eaters.

Edit: Now I see there is a sticker/print for Tales of the Beedle and the Bard and I love that. Even with the slightly disappointing mini-figure lineup this is an early contender for best set of the year for HP.

There is nothing more pathetic in the LEGO portfolio than light bricks, IMO. Cool in 2010 but embarrassing compared to the competition these days. Lego has a battery powered light you have to press to keep on and meanwhile other companies have fully lit builds powered by USB with on and off modes, that’s not even comparing the price points and build sizes. I’m honestly shocked Lego still bothers producing their light bricks.

And yes, where is Ron.

Love them all, except for the demonic pixie :laugh_hard: Xenophilius and the Death Eaters look great, love the arm printing on the trio in the PS set, and the builds are awesome, particularly the Lovegood house! I wonder if the light brick is used to illustrate the Tale of the Three Brother scene, sort of like  a shadow play akin to one of the Lunar New Year sets. The book is included, after all!

The flying motorcycle set is perfect. Great $20 set, exactly what I expected back in 2021. Lovegood house is good too aside from the missing Ron, but it seems very expensive. The sorting set is clearly one for the kids for once so an easy pass for me, although I’d like the house points counter. The rest are what they are.

I’m ready to see the Hospital Wing

RIGHT?? This is exactly what I wanted!! Took em 5 years, but still, so awesome to finally have it :excited:

That said, the more I look at the Lovegood house, the more I think it‘s my favourite set of this wave. Love the angles and overall shaping, plus the colour scheme, all the nice details from the scene (including the kite), and of course the minifigs! And if the Tale of the Three Brothers is actually being represented, this will already be a contender for best HP set of the year for me. Ron being absent is the only blemish in my eyes :hmpf_bad:

I TAKE IT BACK, THE PIXIE IS ANGELIC COMPARED TO THE FACES IN THE FLYING FORD ANGLIA

They took the wrong lesson from this year‘s Hagrid & Harry set. These might be some the most cursed printed pieces ever summoned.

Well if they discontinue glitter trans light blue, then it makes sense, of course.

I´ve said it before, and I will say it again. Pathetic is a quite strong word to describe such things, and to me the light brick makes total sense. It is still a playset made for kids and when I look at the so called competition, their light kits are nothing for kids. They are way to fidly, often get in the way if you would really want to play with it and on the other side, they often look awfull to me because they are usually are way to bright - and lighten stuff where no source of light is even near. Not to mention that the price increase would surely not help to sell the set - and I doubt that kids would even care all that much about lighting.

I am actually surprised we have that much included there. I mean I basically only expected to get McGonagall ,the kids, a chair (which funnily isn´t included, though with short legs the kids couldn´t sit anyways) and the sorting head. The sidebuilds look great and the wheel gives us the house tiles, so I am happy they included that one too - else I wouldn´t have needed it - and all that for a very small price. The only negativ thing I can say about that Set is that they didn´t include McGonagall from the Boathouse, but I guess we expected it allready.

Pleasantly surprised by Luna Lovegood’s house :) I’d imagined it would be darker, but I really appreciate that it has funky stairs on both floors (something none of the €380 Hogsmeade buildings managed), and what they used the light brick for is quite genius!

The lightbrick is used to show the Deathly Hallows symbol on the wall.

It's a sticker unfortunately. But it IS included.

Two new ones. No Gringotts one is returning. Lovegood-one is the same as the right one on product-image from Bike. Both faces are new too, but can be one piece with two prints

Xenophilius Lovegood is holding a new printed tile with the DH-symbol too. And there are two of those, because the page in the book is the same tile.

I would have just made the Ford without the figures, but in the end it isn´t a set I cared about anyways and you could just build the car without the figures - might need some extra parts for that though.

Now that more pictures of the new Sets are out, have to say the Philosophers Stone set looks great too. Wouldn´t have thought that Hedwig would look that great at the smaller size. Still, got the big one, so not going to get it, but for those who didn´t it is still a great display set IMO.

THAT LOVEGOOD HOUSE AHHHHHHHH:pir-love::pir-love::pir-love:. It’s everything I dreamed of it being and has such a great use of colors and angles. Light up Deathy Hallows symbol is so great and Hermione reading the Tale of The Three Brothers, this so cool. Xenophilius looks phenomenal. Only wished Ron was here but oh well… Really impressed by the motorcycle build from 4 Privet Drive set, surprisingly super clean having Hagrid. And more Death Eaters can’t say no that. Two must haves. While I won’t buy the Sorting Hat I really dig the new face they gave Harry with the closed eyes saying “Not Slytherin”.

Damn, any photos of the hospital wing?

Not yet, but I suspect the set will be a LEGO and/or retailer exclusive - wasn't Flying Lessons set exclusive too? Image leaks may be less likely.

We got a set description, but didn't get one for the Lovegood house. So those have been the two rumored as Lego exclusive, but it makes me believe it can't be far away.

That's actually not a new face. It's from the buildable sorting hat. But great to get it in a cheap(er) set.

Is Draco's faceprint new?

All the steps look pretty good. The Ford Anglia has some cursed faces though!

Disappointed it‘s not the tale itself, but the DH symbol appearing is cool! ^^

Yeah thinking about it would have been cooler if they’d done some slides from the animation in Lego form. I think my favourite set of the lot might be the Sorting Ceremony. It’s obviously a nice tribute to the original set but I really like the addition of the house points system too.

I think you are right. That might be the first new young Draco faceprint. He weirdly is the most common mini-figure for HP, mainly because Harry gets more variants.

Some cool stuff. I need the new 1 x 2 tile. I really hope the beedle the bard book has a print on the book front. Otherwise I will have to custom print it.

Hagrids bike rocks so hard. A perfect set.

The sorting hat ceremony offers nothing to me, but it is executed well - something I would have never expected. It reminds me so much about the first Potter set. 100% nostalgia. If I wasn't an Afol with a big collection, this would be something to get and put on my working desk.
