Considering most mechs have a 6+ age rating, I don't think either of the $30 sets will be mech dual packs, no 4+ sets either, thankfully.

If the default assumption is that all of these are Batman sets, I'll predict/hope that Ivy, Catwoman, and Riddler will probably be reused from Arkham, likely Robin as well.

Seeing as this wave does come out a few months before the Supergirl movie, I could see them throwing in a random Supergirl figure flying alongside a Bat-Copter or something, if they don't want to make an actual movie tie-in.

I think the idea is they remade the Tumblr after about 3 years so it's plausible to just get a worse, more expensive, Burton batmobile.

Personally I think they'll be three, kinda generic but competent playsets reusing the Arkham figures which is a massive step up now

I might be the only person that’d be on board for a DC logo set  I just think the techniques that’d be involved for the modern/retro DC bullet logo would be neat

Assuming the $80 set is the 678 piece one (I’d hope but you never know with the pricing of some of these sets) my hope is that the higher price is due to some larger pieces, so maybe a Playset Batcave or Fortress of Solitude? (If it turned out to be the latter then my hopium for a Daily Planet modular would skyrocket)

I’m willing to bet the $30, 330 piece set is a mech vs mech, similar to the Doc Ock vs Spider-Man set. Probably Batman characters, but I could also see it being Superman vs Lobo with Supergirl included as a third figure. The Daily Planet rumor probably won’t pan out, but on the off chance it does, it’d make sense for them to throw a couple more characters into a smaller set to reuse.

The largest set is probably a Batman symbol, but I could also see it being either a Batmobile or the Batcave.

Not sure about the other $30 set. There’s not enough pieces to be another mech vs mech set. Could be a Batwing or Batboat. In the past, both of those have usually been around 200 pieces.

I’m hoping if they’re all Batman sets, they’re at least comic based with some Arkham villains in them. No Mechs would be nice. I know LEGO don’t really do this, but with the new LEGO game heavily rumoured to be movie based releasing spring so similar time as sets. They could do 3 movie based sets, so another Batmobile, Maybe Bat-pod and the bikes from the Batman. Might help with sales if the game boosts the popularity

Well, I'm glad we're at least getting something. Thankfully no 4+ sets, and they all seem decently sized.

I really wonder if we'll get something actually interesting for once. I wouldn't even mind regular comicbook Batman sets, provided they give us some jumpsuit villains from Arkham, like Croc or Bane.

Of course, I'd love to get Superman or Wonder Woman, but that's a tall order.

I’m glad the site’s back, and I’m even more glad DC’s back! Hopefully they’re all playsets, preferably including new characters. Even if they come with Batman and one of his villains (probably from Arkham), maybe they can add another new hero to help him, like in the earlier sets.

At this point you may as well say "hopefully there won't be any taxes this year". The only certainty in this theme is that the majority of our sets are bat-vehicles.

I honestly think it's a batwing and batboat, or if we're lucky a batwing and a new, cheap batmobile. Kids need to be into the brand, and the batmobiles have been getting too expensive.

How is this somehow still optimistic- in all likelihood that third set has no figures.

 

I'm mildly optimistic just off the fact that getting some Arkham re-uses in cheaper sets is somehow a major win for me at this point, but I wouldn't expect anything beyond that. It's too soon for lego to be retroactively making superman movie sets (if they even do- the box office wasn't anything crazy. Honestly I'm not sure the movie even turned much of a profit.)

76331: Batman vs Catwoman Motorcycle (reuses Catwoman from Arkham and is a set akin to the 7779, 6858, 70902, and 76179 Catwoman sets AKA Catwoman on a bike sets)

76332: Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Batmobile

I doubt the largest set is a Daily Planet. The price and piece counts are much lower than Oscorp, plus it’s a 12+ set not a 10+ set. IMO, a Batman logo makes the most sense given the age rating is the same as this year’s Marvel logo.

You’re probably right. The Spider-Man/Doc Ock mech two pack next year is 6+ rated set (I could have sworn it was 9+).

The new Willy Wonka Hat piece is so perfect for Mad Hatter. But I think it’ll be added to the list of perfect molds that could be used for a Batman villain but never are 😂 Could also be interesting for Penguin

I think those bat-vehicles are probably the safest bets. I wish you weren’t right about us being lucky if that third sets does include minifigures. 
 

I agree that it does seem too soon for retroactive Superman sets, but I don’t think it’s perceived box office success will be too much of a factor. It’s run isn’t over yet and it’s done well enough, but most importantly, better than previous DC films which also happened to be poorly received. I’m hoping (coping) that the film’s generally good reception will show LEGO that people care about DC characters who aren’t Batman. 
 

LEGO execs: Let’s see, who does it have? It has a superhero with a cape, a superhero based on a flying animal, and a genius with gadgets, a black mask/face covering, and a cool, self-themed vehicle….

I had no access to my account for awhile but I am back, however very late to the party on Arkham Asylum.  

I am very 50/50 on this set, on one hand I love the modular style Arkham been fully enclosed, but the on the other hand I feel the interior could have been so much better and had more going on in it.  I just don't like the fact that all the cells are generic as well, for me we needed some unique cells for character's like Mr Freeze and Killer Croc but instead we've got six generic cells.  I do feel this could have been so much more and I would have happily paid more for it. That been said I do think it is the best Arkham we have seen.  

As for the minifigures I suppose I can't complain but I really do hate the jumpsuits, to the point  I feel my opinion on this set would be a lot more positive if they all came in their comic accurate outfits.  One thing I will say is not giving The Riddler a new moulded cane and arm printing is just lazy, and Mr Freeze is very meh, but I am someone who preferred the old Arkham City Mr Freeze design anyway. 

Do we have info on the three new DC sets? I do hope we can get Ventriloquist, Black Mask and some others that we haven't seen or nit seen in a while like Deathstroke with a removable helmet.

My sweet summer child… We should consider ourselves lucky if we get costumes for the jumpsuit villains instead of more Jonklers and Harleys. Anything beyond that is a bit too much to ask for, I‘m afraid

There are lots of stickers for most of the villains; the screenshots show them on the outside of the building, like the roof. I think I'll put the stickers on the inside of the cells to make it more personalised.

Hopefully it’s a hint. A Clayface minifigure is long overdue. I assume that whatever set he’d come in would have to be comic based, which means we might have been right about a potential revival for this theme and a remake of the 2008/2012 waves for next year.

I wonder if the three sets we know are coming in March of next year are part of the four summer sets MinecraftGoat said could potentially be DC. Seven years DC sets is probably too good to be true, but I certainly wouldn’t complain, especially if we get a nice selection of new characters.

So, maybe as a hypothetical (probably far too optimistic) next year:

76330: Batman logo: Batman, Robin, Joker

76331: Batcycle: Batman, Clayface w/ stand and hammer, Green Lantern (John Stewart) w/ construct

76332: Batboat: Batman, Killer Croc, Aquaman

Batcave: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Riddler, Bane, Bruce Wayne
