There’s a part of me that feels like there’s not enough Gothic architecture used in the facade of the building, none of the stained glass or the such. Also idk if it was just me but I felt like the Minecraft leak felt a bit taller than the actual set, so this set actually being shorter and more compact also disappointed and it’s didn’t feel as imposing as I thought it would. But after living with it a couple days and letting my expectations subside, it’s starting to grow on me and I’m sure the interior will be killer as well. Just wish we got Nightwing and Gordon instead of Batwing and Batwoman. I do really dig The Riddler, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman, my favorite iterations of each respective character. And I dig the minifig forms of Croc and Bane, never liked the Big Fig versions maybe because I grew up with them in the 2006 Batman line and got accustomed with them as minifigs. That's exactly how I feel about the set. I am really glad its fully enclosed. In my opinion, Rebrickable can likely add an extra story or two for £100, as every Marvel modular set has been expanded in a similar manner with Rebrickable. Adding more Gothic architecture is trickier, I'm planning on adding gargoyles around Arkham and replacing the top part with the top part of my 2013 Arkham. Would love other advice on how to make it more Gothic when the set is released. Edited July 23 by BatDeanj Quote
spiderfan2000 Posted July 23 Posted July 23 I think the set looks cool, but I'm overall still fine with my TLBM Arkham, and the lack of new villains is rather disappointing. The only minifigure I'm really interested in is Batwing, mainly because he's never been done by LEGO before. Ivy is also a highlight, but I don't know if the new version would quite be able to replace the TLBM version as the definitive LEGO Ivy in my eyes. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) Hi-res images, hot off the press. The 2025 LEGO 76300 Arkham Asylum set is a modular-compatible building! - Jay's Brick Blog Not a whole lot to the interior unfortunately. Most of it is taken up by the cells, as I predicted, but it doesn't look like there is much in the way of references in them, aside from Ivy having a few plants. The only other two rooms seem to be the security room Joker enters through and the one where Harley and Scarecrow are hanging out. We can't see all of them, but the security room at least looks quite nice. The play features seem well integrated. That "not a revolving door!" sticker is pretty funny. Voncasey223 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I actually don’t hate the interior. It does feel a bit more detailed than the X-mansion to me. Can definitely see getting two of these to add to the build. With this announcement can we safely say we aren’t getting a GWP or would they announce that separately? Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I'm guessing there is no GWP since info about those usually leaks when info about the set they are paired with does and I don't remember hearing anything.... I think most of the Marvel modulars have had GWPs though, at least the last two have, so it would be a little surprising to get nothing, even if it's just a generic inmate or security guard with a bat signal or something. Voncasey223 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Also upon going through the photos I have found the following easter eggs: King Shark reference on the height chart. Classic LBM1 Clayface on the monitor/ clay outside the asylum near broken bars. Two Face Coin in harleys cell. Invitation to Metropolis "Hello There" on back of asylum with a catowman print. H+I sticker with hearts on back of Asylum. Cant make out the document in Harleys office, anyone? Vote for Harvey Dent sticker. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Another copy of the van with another guard and a prisoner would've been a great GWP. A shame that there seemingly isn't one. Quote

I'm a little torn on this one. When I first saw it I thought it was a bit low res in terms of detail. Not as bad as the TLBM one, but memory alone had me preferencing the Marcos Bessa one. In hindsight, maybe that one was almost too busy on the facade, and sure it's great this one is a whole building, although making Arkham a modular with flat sides is kinda weird in itself. I think I'm just over Arkham Asylums when there are so many other cool DC things that they ignore, and now Minifigures scream "wow fantastic new version of that!" due to the jumpsuits. Quote
The Pearson Posted July 24 Posted July 24 So does this release on September 9th or 12th? I’m seeing different dates on press releases. Quote

Just to add to this, there’s a Dark Knight Returns reference in the magazine on the security guard’s desk. I’ve also got to say, including an office for Harleen Quinzel but not actually including her, per se, is hilarious. Quote

If I'm looking at the picture correctly, I wonder if it's just a rec room for the patients. I think BTAS featured this a few times. And it looks like the photo in that screenshot it a photo of Croc coming out of the sewer for a chicken leg. Quote
psqidexslizer Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I also really want to see how this thing connects to other modulars, because right now it’s not obvious. I wonder if that Clayface on the monitor was a minifigure design that went unused, like a not small number of teases in the X-Men Mansion. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Yeah it is a shame that the official images Don't show it next to any other modulars. I can understand why seeing as they're from seperate themes and licenses but nevertheless it would've been good for them to show off the connectivity. Quote

Robert8 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 @Clone OPatra could we have a poll about which Arkham set is the best one so far? Its not like there is anything else to talk about anyway... Quote

calebcold3 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) Yeah, The official reveal of Arkham solidifies it: I'm buying that set and $300 is gonna go poof in my bank account. Anyways, with the Daily Planet potentially coming next year, I still think it's gonna be more like the Oscorp set from this year instead of the Daily Bugle (I'd rather have my expectations leveled). But assuming that's the case, I feel like the perfect minifigure line up for a 2025 Oscorp-esque version of the 2026 Daily Planet would be: Superman (reuse from mech), Clark Kent, Supergirl, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Lobo, Lex Luthor (reuse from mech) Edited July 24 by calebcold3 Quote
hvader Posted July 24 Posted July 24 That little pool of mud where Killer Croc is standing on in the front box art Clayface this you bro? Quote
HeirOfWakanda Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I did not expect a Lego set of all things to acknowledge Harley and Ivy as a couple, but it’s awesome to see. Superman was awesome. Hopefully the positive reception gives Lego the confidence to eventually try non-Batman DC properties in the future. Quote
DaredevilFan Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) There’s still quite a few Bugle Easter eggs like Kingpin, lizard and Electro which never came true. So I’m not getting my hopes up too high for Clayface or daily planet. Would hate for them to tease them to go nowhere. Interiors looks pretty good but I do wish we had more than 6 cells as the set has 8 villains and it would have been nice to have extra for future ones. overall, pretty happy with it just wish they did an extra floor and gave us a few more villains but I understand them not wanting to set the price too high as it could make it sell worse if it’s not popular Edited July 24 by DaredevilFan Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Killer Croc digging his way out with a spoon is a hilarious detail Love it even more, now that full pictures are out! Glad to see them continue the Superhero modular tradition of having yellow trash containers in the back Side note: 10937 was released in 2013, not 2012 Quote
