I just realized something.

Last year we talked non-stop about the Aslume. Even turned the forum into the Aslume. Now, we are getting an Arkham set.

This year, we’ve talked non-stop about Superman and how much to sucked we aren’t getting sets. Now, we have a rumored Superman set.

Somehow, someway we have gained the ability to manifest sets. Next year, I expect y’all to be spamming this thread about a Flash museum, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet.

I hope there is truth to the Daily Planet rumor. I've been waiting for a DP set since 2012. I know LMCG is pretty reliable, but I do wonder if that's just a false flag or a bit of speculation based on buzz for the Superman movie....

I think it’s partly speculation based on the sticker in Arkham, but it also seems like there’s more to it than just that.

I think this set is actually really good with a killer minifigure selection. Curious what everyone will edit to the build and minifigures. Ive included my edits here:

Batman: Switch to Navy Blue and light grey.

Robin: Switch to my animated series version

Batwoman: Dual Molded Red and Black legs from Spider-Man.

Harley: Switch to TLBM Harleen and have Ventriloquist/ Custom Mad Hatter take her spot.

Joker: Switch head to BTAS version

Ivy: PERFECT

Scarecrow: Dark Brown hat/Hood piece

Croc: Lizard torso from NWH

Bane: Bare Chested Torso.

Prison Guard #1-2: Dual molded legs with black boots

Riddler: LBM Riddler Arms. Assuming the green matches!

Freeze: Switch to custom BTAS version/ Arkham City Version

Catwoman: Add cowl from few years ago.

Penguin: Perfect. Maybe switch hat to bald cap or percival graves version.

All in all a day one purchase.

Kinda surreal to see all the “action pose” pieces being used in a DC set for the first time  Can’t wait to see the interior!

And yeah, we need more leaks recreated in Minecraft. That was fun!

I'm thinking of using my Arkham series purist figures and then getting two of the sets to make it taller. I'm on the fence about whether the botanical gardens will fit in with this...

The everyday struggle with modulars...do we buy two to double it lol.

I really like it, I have the 2012 one and it still holds up but this is far better, it being on a baseplate is nice too, only downside is no Gordon,Red Hood, Nightwing, Zsaz, Pyg, Black Mask, Deathstroke or someother new version/ character

Happy to see a Inmate Transport in the set

Hopefully if there is a GWP, Gordon and a GCPD Car

I have no idea what the 2nd one means, but yeah, if somethings gonna be bad make it memorable, unfortunately the most boring directors in the world are helming the project so big swings are off the table. They've done like 5 of the worst films ever made outside of their franchise stuff and they're all just endlessly boring. I need Disney to punt them off the project and get Neil Breen to direct it, please.

Haven't they done the little Captain America helmet piece in black?  Maybe this shows what I know about the theme but I'd imagine in one of his 78 minifigures they'd have done that?

Sam (was falcon, now captain america) has been mentioned in a few movies to be putting together an avengers team. The actual recruiting for said team happens entirely offscreen, we have not yet seen him interact with any new heroes besides his sidekick Yapper Falcon, and not a single movie has said who'd be on said team (besides maybe the other falcon? They might have said so in Sam's movie I don't remember). Some concept art and plot leaks have revealed that he will have built his team in doomsday, and aside from grabbing Thor and half the thunderbolts, it's all the least-liked heroes of the post-endgame movies. I think it would be funny if they continued the tradition they've built in these last two phases and simply have the team form entirely offscreen and show up out of nowhere, fully formed with no context.

Alas, they have not.

First of all regarding the Poison Ivy Figure, please tell me I'm not the only one that sees the resemblance:

I do. I have no idea how, if you asked me I wouldn't be able to articulate it, but I totally do.

DETECTIVE CHIMP UCS STATUE. DETECTIVE CHIMP UCS STATUE. DETECTIVE CHIMP UCS STATUE

Yeah I dunno Arkham's Arkham I guess. It's better than my "they'll have somehow removed all the minifigures before final release" expectations. Compared to the state of the theme it's great, but if we'd gotten this back when we got sets I can't help but think it'd have been on the weaker side. There's a lot of strange figure choices, budget allotments, and the like. The build is nice but feels weirdly sterile for how i'd expect arkham to look. It's too clean, not that it's a difficult mod to change that.

Ultimately it's a solid B tier set, but it could easily have been a slam dunk, and I'm confused as to why they made some of the choices they did.

Yep, I just saw that. Stickers aren't always hints to a future set of course, but it's a good indication. :sweet:

I'd honestly prefer if we got Redhood, Nightwing and New 52 Batgirl instead of Batwoman, Batwing and Damien

No Two-Face is quite shocking, Penguin and Catwoman don't belong in Arkham however it's nice to get a new Catwoman, the 2019  version is still the best though

Also what are the chances we get a normal costume Bane and Croc, just a new torso they'd need

GIVE ME DC SUMMER 2026 SET INFO XD

Arkham looks lovely.

From how I read (and maybe misinterpreted) what the goat said I understood it to mean: he has good reason to think it is probably coming and he speculates that it'll be a generic comic set like Arkham or the bugle.

Comic hall of justice next?

Would be cool if ivy comes in a smaller set

It would be absolutely hilarious if they include a Batman minifigure in the rumored Daily Planet set

Especially given that we know January won't consist of much, and they currently have ... 2 superman minifigures to pull, either this set is going to have like 12 people max (half of them civilians made of re-used parts) or the bat-family and their rogues will be visiting.

Actually, you know what, there's a nonzero chance the aslume jumpsuit shows up, which would be incredible.

There appears to be some medium nougat round plates laying on the ground where the gate is busted open. Clayface reference? :look:

I think that makes sense, they do love to use that color for clayface.

Is this a Lego Batman movie set?

Harley is using the hair from that line for example but the Joker seems to be more along the classic appearance.

I'd like to see the inside before passing judgement but at this stage I'll probably be sticking with my 2013 version.

The one taste of DC Lego... then back to nothing!!!

Day one purchase... is there a GWP?

I am really hoping that the jumpsuit characters will eventually be released in regular outfits!

I wouldn’t put too much stock in a Daily Planet set at this point. And even if it does happen, there’s no guarantee it’d be modular. It could be more of a small facade set like Oscorp.

With that said though, something along the lines of Superman (reuse, with red trunk legs), Supergirl (new torso, legs), Mr Terrific (new head, torso), Guy Gardner (new torso), Hawkgirl (new torso, legs), Lex Luthor (reuse), Brainiac (new head, torso), Lobo (new head, torso), Bizarro (new head, torso), Lois Lane (purist), Clark Kent (new head), Jimmy Olsen (purist), Cat Grant (purist), Steve Lombard (purist, Ron Troupe (purist), and Perry White (purist) would cover plenty of Superman (movie and comic) characters and put us at 15 with less new prints than Arkham or the X-Mansion without needing Batman and his villains.

Initial thoughts were it's a bit small, needs 1 more floor, but actually it'll tie in size wise nicely to the X - Mansion and really make the Bugle, Avengers Tower and hopefully Daily Planet really pop in size.

Minifigures are all safe picks, would've loved to see Sofia Falcone after how awesome she was in Penguin.
