I saw a theory on the Lego leak subreddit that the set comes with half a dozen jumpsuits and the villains in their respective outfits, so you can mix and match what villains you want in jumpsuits. I know this probably won't happen and only will in the best case scenario, but explains why the same source says poison ivy was originally in a jumpsuit but now is not, as they could have seen 2 separate pictures of the set.

The main issue I see with that is they don’t all have the same skin color. Joker would need white hands. Harley would need either white or light nougat. Most of the rest would need light nougat except Killer Croc and maybe Poison Ivy.

I get that it’s fantasy at the end of the day, and that there’s no logic, but I do love the thought of Arkham guards being like “alright Scarecrow, you gotta wear the orange jumpsuit, but you can keep wearing the mask.”

Maybe he’s really ugly and they don’t want to look at him.

The jumpsuits being identical is disappointing- it's an exact repeat of the F4 set issue where lego decides that human men, women, and irrevocably cursed men with armored skin all have the same body type. Like it's one thing for lego to cut costs by removing the male/female body type- it's dumb, but at least you can just headcanon that "oh, they're just really loose-fit", but then you're gonna tell me that Harley or Joker's outfits fit the same as Killer Croc?

I think a separate female jumpsuit would be a wasted print, there not supposed to be form fitted as you say it's a loose fit. But I'll agree that that Croc should've have something different. The real crime is not letting him go topless.

Yeah they must be  too afraid of how hideous he's gonna be under there, they pay him to keep the mask on.

They did this with the TLBM Arkham as well. Granted, none of the included inmates had body types like Bane or Croc, but there is a precedent, however unfortunate that may be. I wonder how well the new jumpsuit designs will match previous ones.

Why did they choose bane and killer croc if they were in jumpsuits? They have to do a new print for the head anyway so why not use mad hatter or hush they fit the frame of the others wearing jumpsuits better?

Why does Pengui wear jumpsuit? Is he inmate? Are designers stupid? Didn't they read comics and play Ham games?

...Yes, I know this was discussed earlier, but it was before we learned that his minifigure will be wearing a freakin' jumpsuit.

I was expecting too much from this set. "TNBA Batgirl"! Shame on me.

Let's just hope comic fans will like it

That'd be a bit of a double edged sword though wouldn't it. Imagine the complaints we'd be making here if they had introduced both those new characters and they were both 80% jumpsuit.

As others have said this is a double edged sword, as then our only Hush/Mad Hatter/etc would be in a jumpsuit. Though I do think choosing croc and bane is almost laughably ironic seeing as they're two characters who are known for being superhumanly big and built.

I've seen a number of Arkham games/movies/comics/etc where the jumpsuits, much like many prison jumpsuits in real life, are, well, jumpsuits, and not so loose that you can't tell what gender the wearer is.

Emotional support mask. It's like Zodiac in marvel, he won't cooperate with prion psychiatrists unless he's wearing a mask.

That said, as with the F4 suits, lego has no issue with weird hand situations resulting from this- poor Ben is somehow wearing gloves INSIDE his hands.

Yes, Yes, No Comment, Probably Not.

The entire DC theme is a double edged sword. Whenever we draw it and get hope, we immediately stab ourselves with that hope. (A la Superman mech)

Not true about TLBM Arkham having gender neutral jumpsuits. Poison Ivy and Catwoman have a different torso print than the male inmates.

Penguin was an inmate at Arkham Asylum in the 2017 The Lego Batman Movie. His inclusion in Arkham as an inmate is therefore canonically accurate and it is you, my friend, who does not understand the lore.

While having quite a few of the villains in jumpsuits is far from ideal, I‘m just glad we‘re getting new versions of them! :sweet: They can easily reuse the faceprints in upcoming waves for full costume versions. Is it foolish to hope for that? Maybe, but it was equally foolish to hope for an Arkham set, let also with that many minifigs, and yet here we are :snicker:

Speaking of jumpsuits... I wonder if Lego will cave in to DC fans clamoring for perhaps some follow up set/s with the corresponding characters in non-jumpsuit torso and leg prints?

NOOT NOOT

I agree in general but now I need to know if stabbing yourself with the superman mech is speaking from personal experience. I remember cutting my foot open on the destiny's bounty as a kid.

This is true- there might be a bevy of strange choices here, and this might still be far less than most themes get, but it's improvement. It's a step onto the correct path.

It depends on whether or not there's enough fan demand. I assume Arkham actually being figure scale is some sort of litmus test for if this sort of thing- you know, typical lego sets rather than 18+ buildable- can do well for DC at this point. If it does well I'm sure we'll see more down the line, and I'm also sure that 2026's 1HY sets (my guess is generic comic batmobile, 4+ Batwing,  and a Jonkler Mech) will re-use arkham prints.

I just thought of this idea but It would be nice if our annual 4+ DC set for next year was a 4+ side build of the Fortress of Solitude with a Lex Mech (similar build to the 4+ Hulkbuster in 2023).

Minifigures of course would be Superman, Lex, (both reuses) and Supergirl (with this being our unofficial Supergirl tie in set).

Basically, I'm imagining the set to be the Superman equivalent of the 4+ Batcave we got in 2024.

But of course, we'll get a 4+ Batcycle instead next year.

I stand corrected. Thank you.
That’ll teach me to rely on memory when I have access to a certain information super highway.

If he didn’t have a jumpsuit, he could always  be just visiting or trying to break out the rest of his team with Catwoman. Alas, that’s not the case, and like you said, he was an inmate in TLBM.

Maybe it’s just meta-LEGO logic in that they haven’t made Blackgate, so where else would he go?

I really hope at the end of July it will be fully revealed I'm excited for it, I'm glad we are getting a few villains such as ivy in their normal outfits and hopefully she has the green skin.

I'm wondering with the "inverted corner" shape how easy it will be to expand with 2 sets and if the botanical garden would fit in well with it .

The Black pearl was leaked to have a yellow GWP, wonder if that means Arkham won’t have one. But it’s possible it could be leaked later. It would be nice to get a New Twoface or another character but also good for those who can’t get straightaway if there was anything new in it

Two Face would be ideal for the GWP

But it could also be Gordon

The Director of Arkham (Jeremiah Arkham) could be an interesting choice too, but I really doubt it will be a "new" character

I agree we wont get a new character with new prints ect. But it could be two face (head from the tumbler) in jumpsuit with recoloured hair from tumbler?

So are we expecting to get jumpsuits along with normal suits then for the characters then?

I wouldn't. I can't think of a single time they've included multiple sets of torsos and legs for the same minifigure in a set.

Well, let's just wait and see what the build looks like then....

Joker, Batman, Harley, and Freeze are the only minifigures they can reuse. The guards are likely both purist. Let’s assume we get jumpsuits and normal suits. That means there’s ten new characters with a minimum of ten new torsos and ten new heads. Now, add in the prison jumpsuits which we know have printed legs and Batwing also has printed legs. So that’s ten new heads, 11 new torsos, and 2 new legs at a minimum. There’s no way we’re getting that many.

There are a few cases but it is quite rare. The Queer Eye set had a rack of extra torsos and a few sets have characters with the option for both normal and specialised legs.

Would be cool though.

I mean that's not so bad, I don't personally own the 4+ set and if we're only getting a limited number of new prints it can see the sense in reusing him.

No but the jumpsuits are just 'relatively' normal clothes so they don't really need it in the same way that something like Selina's cat suit does.

I mean Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman maybe ivy could have purists heads?

so that mean we will get at a minimum

7 new torso prints; jumpsuit, catwoman, riddler, ivy, batwing, batwoman, robin
2 new leg prints; jumpsuit, batwing
6 new head prints; batwoman, robin, ivy, bane, killer croc, scarecrow

I mean that's realistic right? hopefully we get some more leg printing on other characters.

I'm assuming the following are can be made from existing pieces.
batwing head, Riddler head, Penguin head, catwoman head, riddler head, all parts in security guards

I'm also wondering will be get new moulds like ridders hat, batwomans cowl, a head piece for scarecrow, catwomans head gear
