Predictions for Lego DC 2026:

My predictions

 - 2 Full waves of DC playsets in both winter and summer.

 - Small display set wave in march

 - 18 sets overall spread across different sizes and price points but leaning towards cheaper affordable sets with unique and interesting builds and characters.

 - Plenty of non-batman coverage  with line being about 50/50 batman stuff and other stuff.

 - 2 4+ sets Separate from what I've guessed above

 - Multiple different lantern corps represented with more to come

 - Who am I kidding, like me and @Mandalorianknight have said 4+ is one of the few things keeping them from folding Batman into Icons. Other sets seems less likely by the day.

The theme's pretty damn dead but I'd still bet on a UCS BTAS Batmobile before we get an official funeral announcement.

There will be no announcement. The low set number and coverage already renders the theme near-catatonic. Soon our single mini wave will disappear, and it'll just be D2C batmobile and a 4+ every year or so. Then every 18 months. Then eventually the UCS Pattmobile shows up in the icons line instead of under the DC theme in 2028.

that's why we must support the Superman mech set and the new Arkham set.

the wallet talks!

I'm hopeful we also get a book nook, on Batman or DC OT even a Batman superman one

Lego really screwed up with no summer Superman sets.

Wow. Can’t wait for Lego to ignore the most blatantly obvious movie to make sets for.
*snip*
Somehow Dick is in Tim’s suit and Jason is in Damian’s suit.

They’re probably right to skip this one, tbf. Stop motion animated movies don’t tend to do well.

The most blatantly obvious movie to make sets for currently has its merchandise flying off the shelves with not a single LEGO set in sight.

Predictions for Lego DC 2026:

  • Green Lantern Mech vs General Zod: Guy Gardner and General Zod (logical tie in for both Lanterns and Superman)
  • Play-scale Batpod: Joker and The Dark Knight.
  • Batman and Robin Bat-Hammer: Batman and Bat-Credit-Card (no Mr Freeze, Batgirl or Robin)
  • 18+ Buildable 1989 Bat Symbol: 1989 Man and Jonkler
  • UCS Batpod: Woman and Man

Somehow even this feels overly optimistic, we barely got soup on shelves, we're not getting Guy Gardener, as much as he'd say he's as famous as man and soup.

When the bat symbol (with no figures but a microscale "easter egg" of a bat piece inside the logo) is our only 2026 DC set beyond a january wave consisting of a 4+ batboat and a batmobile with only batman, I'm blaming you for putting the idea in lego's heads.

My predictions:

- 4+ Batwing

- minifigure scale Burton Batmobile with Batman and Danny Devito Penguin

- UCS BtAS Batmobile

Mine are pretty close, but I'd make a few minor changes.

4+ batboat with harley quinn, I think the boat's been the longest without one since we had a batwing in the cave last year.

the burtonmobile will come with jonkler instead of penguin. Or literally just batman and no one else. Either it's both of them for $120 or just batman and a smaller batmobile for $80

UCS BtASmobile is pretty likely, and I agree it could easily just not have any minifigures at all.

Redhead Jason is pretty cool, I'll consider this payback for Matt Murdock, Carnage, and all the others, even if his haircut is stupid.

I was distracted by the hair color. Upon further inspection this design is awful. Overly punk hair, slingshot(?!?), and what the hell even are those boots. At least Dick looks solid, though as you say he's also in the wrong suit- but to give the designers some credit, at least looking at this picture I can tell it's Dick wearing Tim's suit and not Tim.

But yeah no I don't think this movie does well at all, it sounds weirdly experimental and as slizer says stop motion movies don't do well.

Yeah nothing about this movie has made sense to me. It's a weird choice.

Oh, and right-

If soup does well, we don't get any sets. If soup fails, it'll turn out lego was rushing to produce sets for it and we'll end up with the only 2026 DC sets being soup movie ones, including soup (re-use from mech) lex (re-used parts), and that's it.

IMO, the Batboat doesn’t have the same appeal as the Batmobile and the Batwing, which is why we haven’t gotten one in a while. Batcopter falls in the same category.

As for the UCS BtAS Batmobile, I could see it coming with Batman, Joker, and Phantasm. Lego knows that exclusive minifigures are a massive draw for these sets, so they’re bound to include at least one.

IMO, earliest we see more Superman sets if the movie does well is spring of 2027. And I don’t think they’ll be based on the movie. Not only would a couple of years have passed, but comics have more visually interesting characters like Brainiac, Bizarro, Lobo, and a bunch of guys Lego won’t be making that can be thrown in sets as opposed to Engineer, Ultraman(?), and the Time Travel Outfit Avengers. And if I had to make a guess, I’d say it’ll be a Fortress of Solitude.

When is Arkham supposed to be releasing? It seems we haven’t really got any info on it at all unlike other D2C sets such as the Black Pearl.

September, same month as the Black Pearl.

We’ll probably get a partial figure list early July and the final list right around the reveal, if the other superhero modulars are anything to go off of (we got the figure list for the X-Mansion around 4 months in advance, but that seems to be a special case given we knew about that sets existence close to 18 months in advance).

Okay thank you! September is going to be an expensive month for me then.

I don't think this bodes well, it implies there's not much to talk about. Either it has a seriously lackluster minifigure selection, or (I know this sounds drastic but at this point I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility) it got canceled.

It's still coming, September 9th

I'm surprised there been no new info other than the price and piece count since November.
For the shadow box the picture of the penguin leaked like 4 months in advance and we knew it was only Returns rather quickly
With Arkham there has been nothing really, I hope we get something soon like this month and then leaked pictures late july/august.
I hope this isnt a worrying sign

Is there any other sets this has happened with?  As in the leaks have been kept this tight?

Sure, it's nothing uncommon.

Leaks don't really follow patterns. There's so many different ways things can leak—retailers, descriptions, real-life pictures, minifigure leaks, set images etc. that no one can really predict when and if something will leak.

Some sets leak early, some get fed to us for weeks, others are leaked only days before the official reveal. When it comes to information, like a minifigure list, it's entirely dependent on the leakers and their own schemes.

If I got a nickle every time people thought a set was cancelled due to a lack of leaks, I‘d have enough money to buy at least a medium-sized sandwich :snicker:

As @THELEGOBATMAN says, this means nothing. Some sets, particularly D2C ones, just leak later than others. No patterns, no rhyme, no reason ^^ Thus, it’s nothing to read into tbh.

9th day, 9th month?

9*9

81 minifigs?

So close.

9th day, 9th month, 2025th year.

9-9-2025 (or 9-9-2025 if you use the stupid date format).

9 - 9 -25 = -2025

Upon purchase, you lose 2025 minifigures from your collection.

Ah, I see it now! That makes perfect sense!!!

Still 81 has got to play into it somewhere? Maybe the main build uses 81 pieces.

81 might seem small but maybe it's the sum total and the average minifig uses about 5 parts so once you've subtracted the 2025 minifigs you have a net gain of 81 parts! So following on from the assumption that the average minifig uses 5 parts then I'd X - 5(2025) = 81 then because 5*2025 = 10,125 then X = 81 + 10,125 = 10,206. So the perhaps the build uses 10,206 parts? It's the perfect number because when you add up the individual digits you get  9!

9th day! 9th month and a year with a digital root of 9! 999 Arkham is crazy, so flipping crazy! Wait flipping? Flip 999 and you get 666! The number of the beast! KGB beast might be included then?

Edit - I thought I was in the Aslume thread... Whoops

Every DC thread is secretly an Aslume thread.

A joke in 2025, a stipulation of purchase by 2029.

I, for one, cannot wait for Lego to finally experience the terror of receiving nothing but Batman minifigures.

Joke's on you, they'll turn it right back around and the only figures in lego DC sets will be random used repackaged batman minifigures.
