I hope on the back of the jumpsuit it says Arkham As we saw with the fantastic four set, lego apparently can't be bothered to give a torso print different hand colors now, so I'd assume that's it. I think you're really optimistic about it including spare torsos and legs (the most expensive parts of a figure to make- at that point I feel like why not just throw in a few re-used heads for generic inmates or villains like two-face), but it would be nice if it did. 6 hours ago, psqidexslizer said: Not surprised by the reused Joker head. Like others, I’m not a fan of that head. Can’t quite put my finger on what it is, but it looks too goofy IMO. Torso and legs look good, although IMO TLBM jumpsuits were better. Not surprised by the gloves either, seems like an obvious way to save money. Damien looks fairly accurate to that specific design, except his mask is green when it should be black. Can’t say I care for him or this outfit though. It looks too much like a wholesome laugh rather than a deranged one. Yeah, robin's fine. I don't much care for that suit but at least our first robin in 5 years is here and it's not Chris O'donnell. 1 hour ago, psqidexslizer said: Ditto. I think we could get one with green skin if it lets them "get away" with a more traditional outfit for her rather than the green shirt and pants she had in 2019. Edit: Wait, nevermind, it'd require a leg print and a new head print. We're totally getting the jyn erso head with a green shirt and pants. Edited July 4 by Mandalorianknight Quote
Rwbricks Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Robin looks good, if not a bit more joyful than I usually take Damian to be. I’m glad we’re finally getting that hair in green for Joker, though I agree with the sentiment about his head. Making it double-sided with another expression would be nice, but hopefully the budget went into the other minifigures (and the build). Also, no Mad Hatter in Arkham, but useful pieces for a purist custom will be available in the Wicked bookends with the new Jeff Goldblum minifigure, so there’s that. Quote
BatDeanj Posted July 4 Posted July 4 What face would you use for the mad hatter purist? It has to be single sided with that hat Quote

This is a good point- I don't think I've ever seen him smile in any comic runs or animated movies I've seen with him. I know this isn't what you meant but I like to think of this as asserting that Jeff Goldblum just naturally looks like a batman villain. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Time for me to say something wildly unpopular about the minifigs. I think the leg printing here on the jumpsuits is kinda pointless. They could've given them plain leg and they'd have looked as good. Used that printing slot for something more interesting like shirtless Croc or maybe a straight jacket. I mean I wouldn't trust Joker with pockets in Arkham, he's gonna make a shiv and hide it in there, unless he's just happy to see me. Quote

The design isn’t that great and there were likely better uses for the budget. Quote

They did it because they could re-use the print however many times in a single set so technically X characters would have leg printing, but I agree, it could easily have been used to give some more variety in the torsos. IIRC lego says a leg print is something like three times more "zones" than a torso one, so we could honestly have gotten at least one or two characters broken out of their jumpsuits instead of leg printing. Though I'm sure had they done this half the forum would be complaining about the fact that they couldn't even give the suit they re-use 6 times in the set leg printing. Quote

That's what all of this comes down to isn't it though? Mismanagement by Warner, DC, and Lego has contributed to the decline of this theme imo. Like yeah DC has fell off, but I don't feel crazy in saying the characters still have enough name brand recognition to carry some sets and deserve better than the literal nothing burger we've been fed these past few years. I'm hoping the theory that was recently circulating that the jumpsuit variants will be justified because they intend to release normal variants of these villains in a soft reboot of the theme next year. Maybe not a theory per se but I've seen a few Youtube comments suggest this and I really like this idea. Just wish Clayface was included in this lineup. The video piece that's perfect for him is still in circulation via a BAM piece that's currently on the market. I just really was hoping they'd use that piece for Clayface before they cycle it out of production. I guess Batwing would be exciting if it was the character from the comics, but it looks to be just a Batman variant? Was hoping for the actual hero Batwing, that would have been cool. Quote

It's great to get that hat piece in another set, plus the torso is perfect for Jervis. Slap on a red bowtie piece, yellow hands, orange legs along with your head of choice and boom, you'll have a great (and at this point, probably only) 2008 Mad Hatter minifigure. But if you don't want to use it, I've found that the Marcus Flint head works too with that facial expression and the buck teeth. Edited July 6 by TheBatstan Quote

I will say the leaked Batwing figure likely was assembled by someone who simply used the wrong head - that's what the buzz I've seen around is anyway. It wouldn't be the first time someone assembled a leaked figure wrong, and someone unfamiliar with the comics could easily make that mistake Quote

If this were a CMF, I would appreciate the added detailing, but taking a print slot in a set that is already low on unique Minifig parts is disappointing. This is probably just coping, but my hope is that they printed the jumpsuit legs so that Killer Croc can be shirtless (since plain orange legs might look odd in that case). Quote
Robert8 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Those dont look like prison/asylum jumsuits.... Why would they have so many pockets in those? They look more like something an electrician would wear.... Quote
hikouki Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Can't Lego provide us with the regular torso/ legs, plus alternate torso/ legs for jumpsuits? LOL I guess that would be too much to ask... Quote

psqidexslizer Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Superman is doing pretty good with critics. If it does well at the box office too, I expect to see you all there when we head to Denmark with David Corenswet to storm the Lego offices and demand Superman sets. For legal purposes, this is a joke. Quote
DaredevilFan Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) New Batwing pic leaked, still the same Bruce head. So do we think the new Val Kilmer cowl and cape are for the fig or does the leaker just have them? I’m not sure show much they suit Batwing, but when would that stop LEGO 😂 Edited July 10 by DaredevilFan Quote
BatDeanj Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Cowl I would say is batwings but I think he will have actual wings Quote
