Lego revealed today the new transformers set. And interestingly the regulations have changed, because the box has now GIANT warnings about batteries. Hopefully 42214 and 42215 won't get these because it ruins the box:/.

I think that giant warning box is for coin cell battery. Normal battery will not get that giant box.

Probably also only if the battery is actually included in the box, which is the case for sound/light bricks but not for technic battery boxes.

Yup. These warnings have already been showing up on other sets with light/sound bricks, including things like the Winter Village sets. It's definitely not attractive, but there's not much that can be done about legally required warnings. But it generally shouldn't affect most Technic sets.

Luckily that giant warning will be only on the boxes for the US, my sample has the usual tiny warnings.

Edit: here are the two versions side by side, for some strange reason lego.com admins only added the US version to all local pages. This requirement is effective from September last year in the US, and only concerns button batteries, so I don't think many Technic sets will be affected.

One of the Lan member Alex Nunes already received 2025 Technic August wave from his latest video. Expecting Racingbricks @kbalage also same.

This week or next week should have review on those August wave.  For me, 42215 will be one of the worst flagship of the year which is similar to 2017 "42070"

The embargo date seems to be July 29th though...

I see the similarities between those two, but in my opinion the bronco, Ferrari, Nissan and wheel loader make up for that.

Not if you're not interested in Technic cars :cry_sad:

Making up for is a different thing. If the flagship continues to be proven as worse as suspected, then the other (supposedly) good sets won't make up for it. It is a flagship, has to justify expectations by its own merits.

First 2026 leaks! (from Brickmerge.de)

January sets:

42218: 7+, 10€
42219: 7+, 30€
42220: 7+, 30€
42221: 9+, ?€
42222: 9+, ?€
42224: 9+, ?€

So, apparently the 42219 and 42220 sets will be Grave Digger Fire and Ice and Sparkle Smash, respectively. I've taken a look at them, and it seems they might have coloured tires. The prices are insane. It might be the time to create a 2026 discussion topic.

Speaking of prices. I have a very bad feeling about next year's supercar being 500 €.

Now rumored for January, a Technic version of the SLS rocket at $60. I wonder what Technic function will be its selling point besides simply being able to remove the boosters and the upper stage. Rockets really aren't known for their moving parts. (High performance liquid propellant rocket engines can be very complex, but this isn't a model of a rocket engine with spinning turbopumps, etc.)

I have pinned the 2026 topic.

And I have removed the Gameboy post. It's cool, but not Technic. So it does not belong here.

I don't recall having midnight embargoes for Technic sets :)

I dont get what you mean :cry_sad:

In most cases the embargo has a specific time, not only a date. In some rare cases the embargo is at midnight, but usually it is early afternoon (Billund time).

That's why god almighty created the "Subscribe" and "Notify" buttons.
