imposter Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) Workshops might be my 1st Ninjago City set. For some reason I see lot of possibilities to MOC it. Even try different mechs with it. Maybe I will add 5 levels, now there is 4. Maybe a GWP on launch. Edited February 5 by imposter Quote

I've really been enjoying the €10 mech sets too. I'd also love to get more small sets like 70621 The Vermillion Attack or 70671 Lloyd's Journey that offer a nice slice of the season and are compatible with lager sets. Quote
Sikd4 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Is it possible that only wu will appear in the guardian dragon and diorama set? Quote

Lyichir Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Reviews of the workshops are starting to come out! There's some nice features and details I had missed in the initial photos. Mechanically, the way that the mech platform actually comprises two sections (including steps that deploy when the platform is near the shore and retract when it moves outward) is a brilliant feature. There's also some great details on some of the interior walls of the buildings, including a stage curtain in Dorama's theatre and portraits of Zane, his falcon, and Dr. Julien in Zane's room. The sticker sheet also includes eight alternate cockpit stickers for the mech, corresponding to each of the ninja—pretty much an invitation to customize the mech frame in the set beyond just the armor details that are included. Takanuinuva Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) Speaking of the 10$ Mechs. I'm coming up with a design for one for Wyldfyre. But I wanted an opinion on which colorscheme looked better. (The updated mech torso piece or Wyldfyre's hair doesn't exist yet in LDD but I did moc up an irl version with what parts I had and her hair does work with this mech design.) Just wondering if I should go with the Red and Reddish Orange colors. Or the Dark Red and Sand Green colors. The left one was made first as I wanted to use what reddish orange parts existed at the time. Both can be made with existing parts. (Felt this didn't warrant it's own topic) https://brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/wyldfyre_blitzer_mech_2.png (Back View) Edited February 15 by Takanuinuva Quote
Agent Kallus Posted February 15 Posted February 15 (edited) I like the sand green and dark red, makes her's more unique. But perhaps less of green so it's still obvious she's a heat based character rather than anything we associate with green? Edited February 15 by Agent Kallus Quote

Love the use of those roof slopes for the shoulders! In terms of preference, I feel like the one on the right looks a little more interesting and distinctive thanks to its unique color scheme. Quote

I did take a good chunk of sand green off and replaced it with the Reddish Orange. Though I kept some on the legs so they wouldn't look off compared to the arms. Also Moc'd up a possible Kur based on the trailer. (Taking a guess their weapon will be a Scythe) Btw the flame wheel on the back spins as a play feature for if it was a real set. Since the fingers on the mech don't launch. But I liked the idea of using them for fingers since WyldFyre wouldn't use a weapon but instead channel her heat power through the mech. https://brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/wyldfyre_blitzer_mech_4.png Quote
Agent Kallus Posted February 16 Posted February 16 That looks great! Glad you appreciated my input. Quote
Sikd4 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 At this point I want the 2026 set list to leak, a wyldfire mech/vehicle would go hard Quote
mantax Posted February 17 Posted February 17 The next magazine will include Morro. This just feels like a really great character to get. Not only is he a special minifigure exclusive to just 1 set, but also he was the main villain of season 5. I was thinking about getting the Dragonian village only because of the minifigures, and I just personally wasn't a fan of the build at all. Now when there won't be any exclusive minifigures, this set will be an easy skip for me. Quote

And the set where he wears it without the hood is almost as expensive as the Dragonian village set, with an even less impressive 4+ build. Quote

Zane in his full storm suit is also going to be in a magazine, as the new ninjago cards revealed some of the minifigures said to show up in future magazine issues. Also I've seen images of a new ninjago book, which will include Storm suit Zane with hair. Quote
AD_Bricks Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Looks like the March sets have been popping up in stores early Quote
Lemerbrix Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Hey, I might make this it’s own topic later, given this is a problem with Lego themes in general, but I’m going to stick with ninjago for this one. so, I was at target today to ask one of my friends who works there if they’re getting in the thunderfang dragon and the horizon adventures set. Come to find out, that my particular target is not carrying the thunderfang dragon, and I’m going to assume that my target won’t be carrying the arc dragon either. This is a huge problem for me because I don’t live near a Lego store to be able to easily pick these sets up, and I prefer physical retail to online. this continues a problem of stores just not carrying the larger sets, my Barnes and noble doesn’t even carry ninjago at all! This really started with crystalized, where target didn’t have the golden ultra dragon or the samurai X mech. Core wave 2 the largest set target carried was the mech rider, and dragons rising S1 the largest set target had was the team mech, and they didn’t even the S1 sets in until late September! For some reason my target didn’t carry any of the January sets from last year, and didn’t have the wolf mask dojo or the dragon stone shrine. For DR S2 pt2, target didn’t have the source dragon of motion, however they did get most of the January sets so there’s that. In conclusion, I think not carrying larger sets is kinda bad Quote
Meaf Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Yeah I've noticed that the selection at most retailers has been a lot more limited lately. Maybe it's just because Lego makes so many sets now and there's only so much shelf space, but idk it's just annoying. I probably would have bought the smaller Kai mech from last year on a whim if I saw it in-person but I still haven't yet. Quote
Kaijumeister Posted March 2 Posted March 2 (edited) The Workshops look great but definitely a pass for me. I’ve diverted my hype to the Temple Bounty. Not sure if anyone here follows the Brick Tap Discord server but some reputable leakers spoke of the Temple Bounty last week - the shaping is apparently more similar to TLNM’s version of the Bounty, somewhat like a less squished version of Metal Beard’s Sea Cow from The Lego Movie. It’ll also have the biggest interior of any Destiny’s Bounty we’ve gotten so far. Sounds exciting! A giant 2000+ piece Bounty set will be awesome, especially with no side-builds taking up pieces. Agent Kallus Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) The summer wave's spectral dragonians will use the ghostly trail part introduced in the possession wave, Tyr will have proper legs though. - fateful Also a magazine update - the legacy magazine will get ToS Cinder Vs Mech Suit Jay (an easy skip imo) Edited March 3 by Agent Kallus Quote

In conclusion, I think not carrying larger sets is kinda bad From my experience, this is far more pronounced at Target. Walmart is much more likely to offer not only more sets but the larger ones as well. Still not 100% guaranteed though. If I had to guess, so many sets are ordered online nowadays that the costs (not just money, but shelf space!) of offering every set physically is not worth the number of sets that would be sold, especially for larger ones. Not even my local lego store offers everything! I also prefer physical shopping, but I've had to resort more and more to online shopping nowadays because the shelves can be so spotty. 3 hours ago, Agent Kallus said: The summer wave's spectral dragonians will use the ghostly trail part introduced in the possession wave, Tyr will have proper legs though. - fateful These could be very interesting, but I'm worried they won't mix with the current dragonians. Agent Kallus Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) There was also some more information about the summer dragonians that I forgot to include - they'll be light blue and gray with transparent blue wings and Tyr will have a unique design with dual moulded two tone arms. 3 hours ago, The_Fiery_Rooster said: These could be very interesting, but I'm worried they won't mix with the current dragonians. YANITED Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Just a quick question… Do we see any other ninja apart from Kai and Lloyd in the Monstrosity sets?? Quote

Based on the very limited info we have right now, even Lloyd's inclusion is up for debate. It might just be Kai and Wu, not sure if any new info clarifying this has come up recently though. Quote
