Personally i would love a CMF series for Jurassic, obviously the dinosaurs are the main selling point, which is why they'd be included in it, you can have random new minifigures from the whole franchise like Donald Gennaro to Benjamin Lockwood etc, with some characters holding a baby dino as an accessory just like what some CMF characters do with animal molds. And perhaps you could even fill a full space with a bigger small dinosaur like baby stegosaurus perhaps. It might not be as popular as Star Wars or Harry Potter but i do believe it would still sell. Same for a JP advent calendar

Well, I’m not sure why they never include dinsoaurs in CMF seires since lego movie 2 series. Like - new baby dinosaurs.

i really don’t mind baby dinosaurs in non-licensed series and end up in Jurassic theme.

But Jurassic CMF, not very sure.

Or it would be cool to include new skull molds, which it’s unlikely.

I think that would be best for one-time series for Jurassic theme. I agree with you.

I argue a JW CMF series would make little sense from a budget perspective as well. None of the characters really need specialised pieces, dual-moulding, or super-elaborate printing. This would leave the series’ budget for small dinosaurs, which would also be unnecessary since we get new dino pieces every year anyway, including babys

I can‘t imagine a niche series like that selling too well when both the characters and the dinos are also available in sets. And kids prefer grown full-size dinos over babys anyway, I suppose

Actually, i take what I just said. I don’t need Jurasic CMF myself. What if non-licensed CMF series would include a new baby dinosaur, Stich as Stegossaaurs, Pteranodon, Gallimimus, etc. then they could be reused in Jurassic them?

I had a funny image in my head of big Dinosaur molds like the T-Rex barely able to fit in a CMF bag and ripping through it since you mentioned a JW CMF

Well, you could do something similar to that with a larger species, like over the wave perhaps there are 6 figures you need to collect because each figure contains one part of a Velociraptor for example, wouldn't that be cool? Sortoff liks what they did with Harry Potter needing to get all those sets for those plates i think it was

No it wouldn't, because you don't do stuff like this in mystery bags.

It makes sense in regular sets. It makes sense in Hasbro figures. But it makes no sense when you have no actual choice—you could end up with five Velociraptor legs and an arm for good measure.

No, it wouldn‘t  CMFs can all stand on their own. No matter whether you get the entire series, a handful of packets, or just one single minifig, you always have a complete product that works by itself. What are you gonna do with dinosaur limbs? This would outright force customers to buy more figures, which is pretty scummy.

Fair point guys lol, i can understand the pain that would cause a lot of people, but still i think even just a small cmf wave for Jurassic with smaller dino inclusions would be cool. Perhaps it could skip human minifgures entirely and just have a CMF for dino molds, slightly bigger packs that have a small dino in each box? Like a velociraptor, atrociraptor, bigger baby dinos or like a pack of compies, dimorphodon, lystrosaurus etc?

I suggested that not too long ago lol

So this may be a dumb question…
i remember earlier in the year we got a leak of set numbers for Jurassic and there was a tonne, but now there’s only 2 mentioned for January?

Is the logical assumption that initial set leak was for the total 2025 line up, and the January release only has the 2, and the rest will be in the likely June and/or September line up?

honestly I just wanna see Ankylo back. Wouldn’t mind Gallimimus either since I’m missing that in my collection, but I think the Ankylo is the best Lego Dino mould (or Indominus but idc about that that much) so hopefully it returns

The new movie gets released in July, so we can expect a big wave in late April :classic:

That’s amazing news! What a weird coincidence- I went to a fossil shop in the Isle of Wight and bought a mosasaur tooth

I should have bought a Spinosaurus tooth as well, maybe then we’d get one of those in Lego too!

They updated their post saying fanblockow, where they got the info from removed the info and is stating it was fake now.

Doesn´t mean we will not get a mosasaurus but we will have to wait. Eitherway, Mosasaurus is kinda an important part in the JP franchise even if he didn´t get that huge screentime and I would be surprised if it doesn´t show up in the new movie. On the other side, it would have to be huge, so if they are doing it I would expect something similar to the Avatar-Whale.

That’s shame that it’s a fake news. But yes, we will wait and see.

I feel that Mosasaurus is importantly for Jurasic World becuase it’s only a marine reptile we have seen (other than aquatic dinosaur like Para and Spino).

The mosasaurus will have plot relevance in Rebirth, so we‘re almost guaranteed to finally get one! Only took us… 10 years :laugh_hard:

Do we already know that much? Haven´t heard much aside from a loose plotline but nothing really certain aside from the actors.

Yes. As @AxolotlPlays says, the plot involves finding three large-scale specimens, one of which is a mosasaurus  It‘s safe to assume all three will be included in sets since they‘re living McGuffins basically!
