I could see us getting a UCS Naboo Royal Starship with a full interior similar to how they did the Razor Crest interior coming in the near future.

It's a long overdue set.

I think Lego are listening to fans more now based on Jango’s Ship and other themes like POTC so I could very easily see a Razor Crest UCS style Naboo Royal Starship with full interior.

Honestly these seem no-brainers to me. I don't get why they weren't made already all three were clearly featured in S1 or the promotion material for S2.

They are either well established designs, with a little twist, or a fan favorite ship.

Imperial Senate Security

It is very unlikely to get them as we did not even see the Senate Guards. Or any Senate location set, for that matter.

But on the other hand, they do not require new moulds and look quite nice. I also like the Imperial downgrade from a narrative point of view.

A list of remakes where the design should change and the options for exclusive minifigures is clear. Prequels first.

Naboo N-1 Starfighter £39.99

Minifigures: Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, Naboo Engineer, Naboo Pilot (Arven Wendik, R2-C4

Battle of Naboo £69.99 (AAT, Flash Speeder)

Minifigures: Theed Padme, Naboo Palace Guard, Naboo Security Officer, Battle Droid Commander, Battle Droid (x2)

Mos Espa Podrace £149.99

Minifigures: Anakin Skywalker, Sebulba, Mawhonic, Fodesinbeed Annodue, Qui-Gon-Jinn, Shmi Skywalker, Watto, C3-PO (w/flag)

AOTC:

Coruscant Airspeeder Chase £59.99

Minifigures: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Zam Wesell

Republic Gunship £159.99

Minifigures: Clone Pilot (x2), Yoda, Kit Fisto, Clone Commander, Clone Trooper (x3)

Homing Spider Droid (sticker detailing for patterns) £39.99

Count Dooku’s Solar Sailer: Duel on Geonosis £69.99

Minifigures: Count Dooku, FA-4 Pilot Droid, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker

Oh man, i would get them all one by one... slowly but surely. I already mentioned you could do an entire CMF only based on the Mos Espa Podrace participants, but it would also serve as a great MBS set. I know the chances of that happening are astronomical at best, but a man can dream. I at least hope the format finally returns next year.

Great ideas.

SW 2027 50th Anniversary ideas

Right, so I know that before Lego’s never done something all that big for a SW anniversary bar the LSW anniversaries themselves, but I have a feeling that half a century is a pretty significant thing to commemorate. I’d also like to consider this a celebration of the franchise’s history rather then than just ANH.

So here are my propositions:

  • Sets for all widely well received media, a play-set and 18+ set for each main movie with one of either for the rest. (OT, PT, TCW, RO, TBB, Andor, Mando, Rebels…)
  • 6 special 50th Anniversary Mcquarrie concept art figures in the main movie play-sets
  • A 50th anniversary Ideas contest in 2026
  • Videogame CMF (see my previous posts)
  • Exclusive George Lucas minifigure snuck in somewhere, perhaps even in the style of the chrome Vader.

Bear in mind this list is excluding Starfighter as we know next to nothing except for literally me playing the main character. So without much further ado let’s get into it. Half of these are what I think would work well/ likely with current state of the theme, and the other half are things I’d like.

OT

ANH Millennium Falcon: Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, R2D2, C3P0, Chewbacca and Mcquarrie Concept Art Vader as 50th Anniversary figure.

ANH UCS Vader’s Tie Remake: Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin

ESB Red 5 X-Wing/ escape from Hoth: Luke Skywalker, R2 D2, Wedge Antilles, Yoda and Mcquarrie Concept Art Chewbacca as 50th Anniversary Figure

ESB Executor Bridge Diorama: Captain Piett, Admiral Ozzel, 3-4 Crewmen and Darth Vader/ Vader, Piett and the Bounty Hunters.

ROTJ Endor Bunker play-set: Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Wicket, Imperial Officer, Death Star Trooper, Scout Trooper, 2 stormtroopers and Mcquarrie Concept Art Luke Skywalker as 50th Anniversary Figure. (Accompanying AT ST releases in 2028)

ROTJ UCS Shuttle Tydirium: General Lando Calarissian, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Captain Rex, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker and C3P0.

PT

TPM midiscale Radiant VII: George Lucas minifig included (slightly larger than all other midi scales with a editing studio interior built into the hull for George)

TPM Escape from Theed: Qui Gon Jinn, Handmaiden Padme, Jar Jar, Obi-Wan Kenobi, 2 security Battledroid, Droid Commander and Mcquarrie concept art stormtrooper as 50th Anniversary figure. (Builds are a AAT and the bridge JJ, OWK and QGJ jump down from)

AoTC Bounty Hunter pursuit play-set: Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker,  Zam Wessel and Mcquarrie Concept Art C3P0 as 50th anniversary figure

AoTC Buildable B2 Battledroid

RoTS Battle of Kashyyyk: Yoda, Tarful, Wookie Warrior, Commander Gree, 41st Scout Droid Pilot, 2 B2s and Mcquarrie Concept Art Han Solo as 50th Anniversary figure (Builds are a small Wookie Catamaran, Vulture Droid, Dwarf Spider and small AT RT)

RoTS Palpatine’s Arrest diorama: Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Chancellor Palpatine, and the other Jedi involved.

Animation

TCW Republic Attack Shuttle: Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku, Captain Rex, Clone Pilot and Denal.

TBB Hunter’s helmet

Rebels Tie Defender: Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Grand Admiral Thrawn and Vult Skerris (not a Tie Avenger as that should be in 2026)

Tales Brickheadz: Barriss Offee, Dooku, Morgan Elsbeth, Assajj Ventress and Cad Bane

Other Content

Andor Fondor Haulcraft Microfighter: Luthen Rael (Antique dealer)

Mando S1 ITT: Incinerator Trooper, Stormtrooper Commander, 2 Stormtroopers and Mando.

Mando S2/ RO/ Andor Imperial Battlepack: 2 Shore Troopers and 2 Stormtroopers (this is a three way pooled set so it can be additional)

RO 12+ Zeta Class Shuttle: Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, Bodhi Rook, K2S0, Baze Malbus, Chirrut Imwe and  Director Orson Krennic (Milano scale)

Ahsoka midi-scale Chimera (Ahsoka S2 sets will likely still be on shelves)

Legends Z-95: Mara Jade, Jacen Solo and Jaina Solo

That’s 22 sets + CMF and Ideas set, still leaving 3-4 set slots for Starfighter.

I’d love to hear you guys’ thoughts on whether I cooked and this is a good idea for how 2027 should play out.

I gotta give it to you, that's a great idea. Almost too good to be true. We can be so hyper-fixated on all these different anniversaries to such an extent, we better not forget the simplicity of it all. So yeah, rather than just focus on a few ANH sets, why wouldn't you celebrate the 50th Star Wars anniversary in a way everyone can have something to enjoy? I mean, you even covered Lego's 18+ obsession, while still retaining a healthy selection of system scale sets. Your idea with the concept art figures is just the very fitting cherry on top for the occasion. Well done.

@CloneCommando99 I like the idea of mcquarrie minifigures for the 50th anniversary of the franchise, a very thematic way to get desirable figures that couldn't be in normal sets.

I talked about this in the other thread, but here's my revised concept for evergreen sets- sets that would stay on shelves, or at least on lego.com/amazon.com, at all times:

Millennium Falcon ($139.99): Slightly downsized from the Evil Falcon, but with the same technique to prevent gaps in the roof. (The falcon is one of those playsets that I think has actually gotten too big, there's so much empty interior space inside those). Comes with Han Solo (ANH), Chewbacca, Princess Leia (ANH), Luke Skywalker (Farmboy), C-3PO, R2-D2, Old Ben Kenobi, Grand Moff Tarkin, and a Stormtrooper Commander.

Imperial TIE Fighter Inspection ($64.99): TIE Fighter (slightly larger than 2021 version) with scaffolding to get the pilot down and a small maintenance area with a crane, tiny repair vehicle that can be moved around, and a command post. Comes with 1x TIE Pilot, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, an Imperial Crewman, and 2x Stormtrooper.

Luke Skywalker's X-wing Adventures ($59.99): Slightly larger and with a different s-foil function than the 2021 version. Comes with Luke Skywalker (Pilot), R2-D2, Yoda, Lando (blue cape), and Wedge. The box advertises different scenarios- meeting Wedge in the hoth hanger, training with Yoda on Dagobah, or visiting Lando at Cloud City.

Jedi Starfighter vs Vulture Droid ($54.99): Anakin's ETA-2 and a Vulture Droid. Comes with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano (All in their TCW S3-5 outfits), as well as Count Dooku and General Grievous.

Poe Dameron's X-wing ($49.99): Poe's Black One x-wing (about the size of the 2021 rebel X-wing) with Poe Dameron, BB-8, Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren.

The Mandalorian's Starfighter ($39.99): Downsized from that giant last one we got. Comes with The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda, Bo-Katan, R5-D4, and Moff Gideon.

Clone Trooper Attack ($34.99): AT-RT and BARC speeder (accurately scaled) with a dwarf spider droid and droidika. Comes with Captain Rex, Commander Cody, a 501st clone trooper, a 212th clone trooper, 2x b1 battle droids, and 2x b2 battle droids. The clones have both P1 and P2 helmets.

I really like the concept of the anniversary figures here, lovely stuff!

Separately, @Mandalorianknight I do not think the concept of Evergreen sets is necessary. I think it would make the line feel quite stale, and if they were to go down the route of adapting and amending them I’d much rather they just go all in on one style/specific context and then pivot when the retirement date arrives. I think prolonged retirement dates work fine. For example, I love the Tie Fighter Inspection and Clone Attack sets but they’re sets in their own right and the can be released in different ways down the line I.e. a First Order Tie Attack, a Tie collection, new clone legions etc etc.

My personal wishlist.  - And the Tie Avenger trumps everything

Scaled to minifigures

Tie Shuttle - includes pilot, Captain Needa, Storm trooper

Swoop - (flare s swoop) - with two Mos Eisley aliens

Void Spider TX-3 - With a droid, Jawa, and another mos Eisley alien

A-1 Deluxe floater - with sand trooper and Mos Eisley Alien

EZ Ride passenger air speeder - With random imperial officer and alien

Play set

Outrider - Dash Rendar, LEBO2D9, two sand troopers

Starship collection

Rebel Transport

Braha'tok class gunship

That would complete every vehicle/ship from the OT that shows up on screen (I believe).

I’m going to predict we will see the Clone Pilot return in 2027 for the 25th anniversary of AOTC. I also think Lego will release some Clone Wars sets, similar to what they’ve done with ROTS/TCW this summer I.e Felucia was in ROTS, the MTT wasn’t.

Republic Gunship £149.99 - AOTC

Phase I Clone Pilot (x2), Yoda, Clone Captain, Clone Lieutenant, Clone Trooper (x2)

Homing Spider Droid £49.99 - AOTC

Kit Fisto, Geonosian Battle Droid Commander, Geonosian Battle Droid (x3)

Republic Acclamator £139.99 - TCW

Shaak Ti, Republic Officer, Phase II Kamino Security Forces (x3), Medical Droid

Geonosis Clone Troopers £24.99 - TCW

Phase I Clone Trooper (x2), ARF Trooper (x2)

Seperatist Octuptarra Tri-Droid £69.99 - TCW

General Anakin Skywalker (insignia), Tactical Droid, Battle Droid (x2), Phase 1 Clone Trooper

It’s also the anniversary of ANH so I’d expect to see some new sets there - Landing Craft, Mos Eisley playset (£150), and maybe something Death Star related. The Last Jedi will celebrate 10 years so I’d like to see the Resistance Bomber, buildable Porg/BB-8, a Resistance Lifeboat and A-Wing, and a downscaled Ski-Speeder.

All good sets, and I actually think a standard republic gunship in 2027 with that pilot makes a lot of sense- the coruscant one will have retired by then.

I can help out there- ANH wave, just like I used to do, with an updated structure:

Droid Escape Pod ($9.99): Small escape pod that can fit the included C-3PO and R2-D2.

TIE Advanced Microfighter ($12.99): Darth Vader (New helmet with red lenses)

Sandtrooper Battle Pack ($19.99): 4x Sandtrooper (3x black pauldron, 1x orange pauldron)

Rebel Command ($34.99): Rebel ground crew vehicle, small crane and fuel tanks, and a bit of the Yavin temple with a turret. Comes with 3x Rebel Fleet Trooper, 1x Rebel Honor Guard, 1x Rebel Ground Crew, and an astromech droid.

Rescuing the Princess ($59.99): Consists of two levels- the first being the detention block with the console Han blasts and a small hallway leading to Leia's cell. The hallway includes a chute figures can be dropped through into the lower level- the trash compactor. Includes Princess Leia, Han Solo (stormtrooper), Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper), an Imperial Officer, and an Imperial Navy Trooper, as well as a brick-built dianoga.

Y-wing Starfighter ($79.99): New Y-wing design including Jon "Dutch" Vander, a rebel astromech droid, Dex Tiree, a visiting Jek Porkins, and 2 stormtroopers.

Mos Eisley Cantina ($109.99): Cantina (essentially a scaled down version of the MBS layout- a central bar with two folding wings, each containing 2 booths and one other room- the droid scanner/entrance on one side and a stage on the other. Comes with Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Ben Kenobi, Greedo, Wuher, Chalmun, Wolfman, a Duros pilot, Ponda Baba, and Dr. Evezan.

Trench Run ($149.99): Luke Skywalker's Red Five (optimized version of the 2024 X-wing with a proton torpedo launcher function), a TIE advanced, two turbolaser turret tower builds with small interiors, and a build of the exhaust port with an explode function. Comes with Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Wedge Antilles, Biggs Darklighter, Darth Vader, 1x TIE Pilot, 2x Death Star Gunner, and Moff Tarkin.

The Millenium Falcon ($159.99): Millenium Falcon (next iteration of the design. Slightly smaller- the falcon is one ship I do think has gotten too big- but with more accurate shaping and detailing). Comes with Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO, R2-D2, Ben Kenobi, and 2x Spacetrooper.

UCS: Tantive IV ($499.99): Massive Tantive IV ship with all notable interior rooms- the main hallway, the cockpit, the room where Antilles meets his end, where Leia records her message, and the escape pod launch bay. Includes Princess Leia (new molded hood), Captain Antilles, 2x Rebel Fleet Trooper, C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader, Dane Jir, 3x Stormtrooper, and George Lucas with a 50th anniversary plaque.

Lego shop.com exclusive: Concept Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader ($49.99): Tantive IV hallway, similar size as the recent set but built more like a diorama than a playset, and colored according to the shading in the famous painting. Includes four minifigures: Luke Skywalker with breathing mask and yellow lightsaber, Darth Vader with new curved helmet mold and a blue lightsaber, and 2 Mcquarrie Stormtroopers with white lightsabers and shields. The lightsabers all have 1x1 open studs right above the hilt to represent the different shape in the paintings.

GWP: The Complete Saga 20th anniversary ($4.99 value): Rebel Friend, a minikit build, and a small plaque commemorating 20 years of lego star wars: the complete saga.

Droid Escape at that price point is now on the cards!

A new Vader is well and truly needed and this would be a great way to get him.

I’d like a slightly larger Mos Eisley Cantina to really differentiate from the 2014 version whilst offering some sort of quality to the MBS version.

A larger Tantive is 100% going to happen at some point, undoubtedly.

That GWP is unreal.

Sure is! Very happy to see $10 sets making their return.

Ideally, the parts from the 2014 set's landspeeder and the cost going into the molded dewback would be used to make this one significantly larger since it doesn't have any side builds, but you never know with their current pricing I guess.

We'll follow up with ESB. I'm also going to add in a mech, since we seem to be getting one of those every year:

Wampa Attack ($9.99): Small wampa cave and brick-built wampa with Luke Skywalker (Hoth) and a function for luke to "force pull" his lightsaber out of the snow.

Millennium Falcon Microfighter ($12.99): Lando Calrissian (blue cape)

Chewbacca Mech ($14.99): Chewbacca. Comes with a large bowcaster build and a bandolier using the spider-man web piece in black with 1x1 grey clips on all the bars.

Hoth Battle Pack ($19.99): Comes with an E-web, probe droid, and a DF9 turret. Includes 2 snowtroopers and 2 hoth rebel troopers.

The Dark Side Cave ($29.99): Dark side cave build with Yoda, Luke Skywalker (training), R2-D2, and Darth Vader (Luke's head underneath)

Carbon Freezing Chamber ($39.99): Carbon Freezing Chamber with Boba Fett, Han Solo (white shirt), Princess Leia (bespin) and a stormtrooper.

Snowspeeder Flyby ($59.99): Snowspeeder (using the new cockpit and pieces, but without the larger bottom hull and speeder) alongside a small trench with a P-tower, as well as an MTV-7 trench killer. Comes with1x imperial officer (colonel Stark), 1x snow scout, 1x snowtrooper, 2x Snowspeeder Pilots (Hobbie and Wedge), and a Hoth rebel trooper.

TIE Shuttle ($89.99): Larger than the most recent bomber, comes with 2x Stormtrooper, Captain Needa, 1x TIE pilot, Bossk, and Zuckuss.

Slave One ($139.99): Only slightly smaller than the 2019 version, but with more usable interior. Comes with Boba Fett, 1x Wing Guard, 1x ugnaught, Lobot, Lando, Princess Leia (Bespin), and Chewbacca (new mold with studs on the back to hold a small backpack printed with C-3PO parts and a bracket that 3PO's head is placed on.)

AT-AT ($179.99): Our largest yet, with a two-level interior . Includes another brick-built tauntaun like in the snowspeeder flyby set. Comes with Luke Skywalker (pilot), Hoth Han Solo, a Hoth Rebel Trooper (based on Sargent Namir from Twilight Company), General Veers, a Snowtrooper Commander, and 2x snowtrooper. Also includes a new molded Vader Hologram piece.

MBS: Echo Base ($349.99): Let's do it properly this time. Accurately shaped and larger ion cannon and 4-ring shield generator form two side builds, with the bulk of the build focused on the base itself. There is, of course, a massive gate that can fit a snowspeeder within it and has an opening feature. Some of the included rooms are a hoth corridor, the command center, the medical bay, and a tauntaun corral. Also includes a small midi-scale falcon (~350 pieces, a bit chibi, fits one figure in the cockpit and a few more in the main hull, which only opens in the center), two brick-built tauntauns, and a probe droid. Comes with Han Solo (hoth), Chewbacca, Princess Leia (Hoth), Luke Skywalker (bacta tank), Wes Janson, Dak Ralter, Major Derlin, K-3PO, R-3PO, C-3PO, R2-D2, 2-1B, Toyan Farr, General Rieekan, Pharl Mcquarrie, Rebel Trooper (Tigran Jamero), Rebel Trooper (Reye Hollis), Rebel Trooper (Cal Alder), Darth Vader, 2x Snowtrooper,

This is less of a wishlist and more of a prediction question that I don't want to pollute other threads with.

What do you guys think the two UCS sets next year will be? I'm honestly not sure where Lego goes from here. I have to assume lego doesn't want to do the same UCS set any more frequently than every like 10 years (with the exception of the death star I suppose since that's been 9 years but who's counting) because it's a big set to waste money making if people are bored of that set or most people who wanted the original are still around with the same model with not enough improvement in lego's techniques to justify a new one. Even the X-wing seems to have to wait at least 10 years between releases. So with that in mind there's not a great deal of MAJOR vehicles they can do.

Now of course they can do everyone's favourite secondary vehicle, things that are iconic to particular eras that don't stand out accross the entire franchise, things like the Gunship, The A-wing and such those sort of second rate vehicles (and I don't say that as a hater I love both of those but they're not X-wings, tie fighters or millenium falcons are they?) but the real question is WILL they go a little deeper cut? They've certainly shown a willingness to with the Venator but it's hard to predict which of this class of vehicle they'd pick.

I think good predictions based off of Lego maybe wanting to capitalise on Imperial fans with the death star could be the Tie Fighter or perhaps more interestingly the Tie Advanced. Either of those could make solid $200ish sets. Alternatively I suppose they could do the Super Star Destroyer but that feels unwise since you've already gotten $1000 out of your most dedicated imperial fans it might not be wise to immediately try like a $500 set of the same faction.

I think a really FUN option would be the Sandcrawler, Lego could do a lot with a set like that in this day and age where $500 UCS sets are fairly common. The B-wing might be another remake they could do, it's been 13 years but I do worry the B-wing may have been somewhat drowned in relevence by all the recent star wars projects (and the resurgence of the prequels) to the point there might not be interest in a $200+ B-wing. It's also been a hot minute since the last UCS Tantive IV.

Another option that sticks out to me is a remake of the Obi-wan's Starfighter from Ep 2, it's been 15 years and with the UCS Jango Fett's Boba Fett's Starship it might be a good pairing if reasonably priced.

TL;DR

2026 $200 UCS Set Prediction Options (From most to least likely IMO, 1 being most likely)

3. Obi-wan's Starfighter
2. TIE Fighter
1. TIE Advanced

2026 $BIG MONEY Set Prediction Options:
3. Sandcrawler
2. SSD
1. Tantive 4

Also I'd love another UCS clone vehicle like the Gunship, perhaps a Juggernaut, AT-TE, or one of the starfighters. I just think it's unlikely.

Let me know your predictions.

Tantive IV is unlikely to receive a proper UCS anytime soon, the Nebulon B is most likely going to precede it.

If I had to guess, probably a new Endor set for the fall. We've been anticipating one for years, and maybe they'll finally pull the trigger.

We're either going to get a new prequel UCS set or another outlier (D+/ST) for the spring. My money is still on either a JSF, or an ARC-170. Or, as a longshot, Mando's N1.

I don't know, it's been a long time since the last one and we've got the 50th of the franchise coming up, I think 2027 seems pretty likely.

I agree that May 2026 is going to be a prequel set or D+ set. I'd be shocked if it wasn't either an ETA-2 or Mando's N-1 (As we are getting the movie this year).

Love these, would buy them. Especially like the higher price point for the Sail Barge.
