Maybe in a gorilla suit with some drums stored in the car? Cat bus : My Neighbour Totoro - £40 with Mai, Satsuke and a bus stop and Totoro sidebuild Tried to be sadly minimalistic with the figs because speed Champions only tend to have one per car. jonwil Posted July 23 Posted July 23 (edited) My most wanted TV/movie cars that haven't been done in LEGO form: (or rather the ones LEGO might actually do, there is no way they would do the Smokey and the Bandit Trans-Am or the Mad Max XB Falcon for example) Dodge Monaco Bluesmobile from The Blues Brothers Lamborghini Countach LP400S from Cannonball Run (other vehicles from that movie like the Transcon Medivac would also be great) Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved me (second only to the DB5 when it comes to famous Bond cars I suspect) Pontiac Firebird KITT from Knight Rider Chevrolet Lumina NASCAR from Days of Thunder Honorable mention to the Cadillac Miller Meteor ambulance from Ghostbusters, although we have had it as a set before a Speed Champions version would be very cool. I see two issues with that idea: Even the movie-licensed SC cars still have a focus on speed. Cars and F&F feature racing, 007 gets into lots of car chases, and the Delorean needs to reach a high velocity for time travel to work. Speed isn’t that much of a factor for the Ecto-1, at least not to the same extent SC cars typically come with only one minifig, and an Ecto-1 with one minifig would be kinda sad. Even if the upcoming Delorean breaks the pattern by featuring both Marty and Doc Brown (fingers crossed!), it’d still be quite a leap from two to four minifigs. That said, I’m not opposed to the idea, but I’d rather have a new one as a set outside the SC theme, mostly due to the minifig restrictions ^^ Quote

Imposter isn't a synonym for doppelgänger, you can be an imposter without looking anything like who you're imitating, you don't even inherently need to be imitating an individual to be an imposter, you can be an imposter in a group posing to be a member of it without playing as someone else. you're failure on semantics here means your case should be thrown out with extreme prejudice Quote

jonwil Posted August 2 Posted August 2 As nice as it would be, there are some themes that we will never see from LEGO. Unless by some miracle LEGO and Nickelodeon get over their differences, we will likely never see anything from Nickelodeon (e.g. Avatar, Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob etc) Because of how Studio Ghibli handles merchandise for their movies we will 100% never see anything from those movies in LEGO form. We will never see anything from Spaceballs because of a deal done with George Lucas that allowed the film to be made/released in return for a guarantee that there will never be Spaceballs merchandise of any kind. And we will never see anything from brands owned by Mattel such as Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, He-Man, Thomas the Tank Engine and others. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Looks like there could be a new licensed theme next year There are three set numbers (72421-23) sandwiched between Star Wars and Pokémon, indicating a licensed theme ^^ Quote

Thomas the Tank Engine had Duplo sets too, but that was before Hit Entertainment (who owned both franchises) was bought by Mattel. Once that happened, it killed the prospects of those contract ever being renewed. Quote

Would love a large set based on the sewer lair or Technodrome from the 1987 cartoon or one of the lairs from the 90s movies (The Secret of the Ooze abandoned subway station lair would be really cool). At this point, it’s the only theme I was ever really into they haven’t brought back yet Still hard to believe we’re getting LotR, HP, Toy Story, Simpsons, and PotC sets in the same year when the original themes usually substituted each other (if only Indy stuck around too after the brief return in 2023, but I digress) SpongeBob also coming back would be the icing on an already extravagant cake! With dual-moulding and all the new colours and pieces that have been introduced in the meantime they could do something really special with that theme! Fingers crossed the TMNT Brickheadz are a sign for things to come!! Quote

Studio Ghibli content quite regularly crops up in IDEAS submissions. If there were no possibility whatsoever of those sets being realized wouldn't LEGO ban them completely (that is, make a rule of no submissions using Studio Ghibli IPs)? Also is there a reason LEGO hasn't done Miraculous yet? It's an IP that's very popular with kids, has recognisable leads, a lot of minifig potential, and tons of merch. Plus mearly everyone in it except for Marinette's parents is drawn very tall and very slim, which means that for once minidolls would be an accurate representation of the source material. (Though I'd very much prefer minifigs.) Maybe it isn't American enough since it's set in Paris? On 5/22/2020 at 8:17 PM, MatthewRC said: Pokémon! One day when Mega Construx loses the license in the future, LEGO should pick up the Pokémon license afterwards. In addition to this, LEGO Pokémon could utilize a toys-to-life interactive experience compatible with Nintendo Switch, iPad, etc. with something like Pokémon Stadium meets LEGO Dimensions. Similar to what LEGO and Nintendo are doing with the Super Mario theme. Found this on page 1 of the thread. Do you have any guess as to next week's lottery numbers? Asking for a friend. It's been touched on here and there, but I think a dedicated Formula 1 line would do well, considering it is a worldwide sport. I'd also be very much interested in your lottery numbers guess. Actually a fair amount of previously mentioned dream themes already have sets by now (i.e. Zelda) or are getting them (both Tintin and Peanuts will have IDEAS sets soon) but those two stood out to me because LEGO is going all-in on them Edited September 20 by brickbride Quote
