Seems like you where right, however strange that it shows up on PAB now before the set it comes in are released

Will be interesting to see the price difference with and without chest printing
I fear the small birds will have a high price, but as long as the pigeon has the same price as the original one I will not complain to much

I believe one is male and the other is female by the coloring.

Rebrickable knew 😂 I still have no idea what the other set is, but I saw it months ago listed on RB. Good to know they’ll be listed on PaB. I’ll call my smugglers 😏

Are nuthatches sexually dimorphic? I didn’t think they were.

Another plausibility is that it’s another species without the chest colour - perhaps a shrike as @Roebuck suggested way back wham

Yes the male is more colorful and has a bigger orange patch on the belly.  With birds most males are more colorful than the females.  That being said it does seem to be a male and female nuthatch.

There are a lot of species and subspecies of nuthatch, the one in Norway you can differentiate between the sexes at least when you hold it.
So might be both sex or a different species (or even a completely different species). 

Anyway, Lego is giving us 2 different say nuthatches, but are using the red deer stag as a reindeer and on top of that make a reindeer calf mould?! I am starting to hope Winter village will step up this year and give us a proper adult reindeer mould

I am pretty sure that a sitting cat will show up in other themes so it would be easier for us to get that off PAB. But not sure about a clownfish. Like toucan, that fish is highly detailed so i don’t know how likely that would show up in City in  future?

They could do an aquarium set or have a home with a fish tank possibly.

I went to my local LEGO Discovery Center today, and in the Build A Minifigure station they had loads of animals. Orange cat with side stripes, white kitten, grey kitten, red bird, tan puppy, tan bulldog, medium nougat dog with black face printing, medium nougat puppy, yellow rubber duck, orange fish. 

And... the orange bellied nuthatch. So many animals was very surprising. Such a new one doubly so.

And because it's in America, they let me get just a box full of animals, which was great.

BAM with a lot of animals you want is the best

Nice I will have to check out one of my local stores this week.  The nuthatch would be great to get.  Hopefully the stores around me have these animals in the BAM

Did they have only BAM or also a station to print your own torsos?

Also, we are at 4 new birds for this year now, did anyone manage to find hi-res pics of them where you can get a good look on them?

Yes, they also have a Minifigure printing station, so maybe that's why. Also, as it's a LEGO Discovery Center, they may have additional elements they receive.

The January parts are on PAB, bought a few 🕊️🐦🐦🐦🐸, will buy more parts when there is a decent GWP

Nice to see all the new birds come in at the same price as existing small birds/pigeons. Makes a change lately to get new animal parts on B&P and *not* feel like Lego is fleecing us and taking the brick.

Yeah, stores with those stations get a bigger variety of accessories.

There are three ‘January birds’

- white pigeon 

- European robin 

- European nuthatch 

in addition a variant of the nuthatch with no chest printing is coming in a Lunar New Year set. For some reason that variant is also available on B&P as of today. 
 

so that makes four.

Amon hen and Shadowfax in the new Minas tirith set, the designers say the eye print on the horse is new..

The eye design is so, so, so, so infinitesimally different from the Marvel horse, that you really have to wonder why.
