Also a small bird, maybe the nuthatch?

It’s slightly different in the image, missing the orange chest printing. However we should probably assume that’s just a render issue & it’s just a straight reuse.

I like the new Fawkes mold and the Basilisk.  The baby reindeer is great, can't wait to pick some up.  The SW wolf is interesting, will definitely fit into my fantasy/castle world.  And any new small birds in new colors is always welcome.

Oh is that Baslisk buildable? And agreed with you on other molded creatures.  So happy with different types of aniamls - prehistoric, sci-fi, fantasy and extant/realsitic types forme this year.

Either he's an old elf, or its supposed to be casual Santa but then they felt like they had to put kitted out Santa too.

Some excellent new animals around. I for one can't wait until that doe mould is done in natural colours. Surely it's got to.

Love the SW doggo too, but I'm unlikely to get that one given the price of the set.

Really wish they made a new hair mould with elf ears.

The new reindeer calf is very cute, and I think it can double as a fawn, considering the stag doubles as a reindeer :laugh_hard: I think I can hear angry biologist noises in the distance.

Definitely, hear me roar

Someone in my chat group said it looked like it jumped out of Lion King, so I had to play around a bit. Would be nice to have a Scar like this, even though it's very unlikely. But I'll definitely get the original. I think it looks really cool. Bonus: New Grogu!

You did an awesome job turning the image into a scar.

I really like the tram set – the colors are beautiful. I hope LEGO makes more seaside-themed sets like this. The seal in brown looks even cuter to me than the grey one.

In the second half of the year, LEGO really impressed with the range of animals. We had already thought there would hardly be any new animal releases this year.

I can’t see the Scar image.

Agree that the Tram set is visually a really nice set, even aside from the animal additions! And yes, the seal in brown is much better than the light grey one.

That flying phoenix is rad. I hope it's not too expensive on BL, because I ain't contributing money to the primary market on Harry Potter products.

Yeah I share this fear.

It’s the flying great grey owl, all over again.

(though I can see it’s more logical as it’s a specific IP character: there’s zero excuse with an actual species)

Is that ghost dog mould new?

Are these animal moulds from HP likely to remain exclusive? Or can they recolor them as regular releases? Even the flying phoenix looks like it can be recolored into a regular bird?

I mean, I don't need a flying phoenix if it's going to be a PITA to get. It would just be a cool addition to the mythological collection.

Yeah it’s a ‘patronus’ in their lore, like a magical projection. All the moulds that started as patronuses (trans blue colour) have eventually been made into ‘real’ animals. Now some that started as real animals have been used as patronuses too.

So yes, they can. How long that might take to happen is anyone’s guess.

The new dog mould is a jack russell terrier

PITA?

Anyways, I wonder if we would get a hectic phoenix mold showing up in CMF or new in-house theme that won’t look like Fawkes.  Say, snow bird? Thunderbird? Dark phoenix? And please odn’t get smarty with me when it comes to dark phoenix…. It soudsn cool, just saying.  And it’s nice to have a new fantasy creature.

I use the patronuses as ice sculptures in my winter village.

I was thinking about filing my Patronus stag but then I saw this, I took an U-turn on it.

I wonder if they can be lit up with some third party lights so they simulate the winter ice sculptures of Sapporo or Harbin?
