Since stating them, I have entertained a barrage of negativity towards my personal opinion from multiple posters. I've maintained my candor and I still am. But at this point, I would like to make something clear. No one will change my mind. No one can win an argument against me. The best one can hope for is a stalemate. Let's leave it at that, please. There's plenty of other things to discuss and post about on Eurobricks than this one topic. That's fine, you can state what you'd like to see. But when you deny that things exist that is another matter. As to the rest, also fine. I'll click ignore. Quote

True, Interstellar Spaceship is a beautiful modernized version of 918 Space Transport full of printed pieces (and no stickers!) at a fair price. Call it City, Space, whatever, its Sci-Fi and I love it! Quote

Personally, I thought the Space Bus was pretty fun at the 30% discount I got it for, but I didn't feel like the design or the build were very interesting or creative, despite the stylings of the theme. Likewise, I didn't think much of either version of the Space Car in the instructions. However, there's an excellent alt build on Rebrickable that uses all the Space parts to build a Perseverance Mars rover while preserving the other parts for the yellow sports car, and with that in mind I like the set a lot. I haven't got any of the other Dreamzzz sets, but I kinda wish we'd gotten more of Mr Oz's Space dreams. Well, I like Dreamzzz but only for parts. The story is nowhere near the genres I prefer. The Z-blob sets variations of all years do have a lot of interesting and useful parts for me. The 2025 Matteo and Z-Blob set was really cool and had a lot of parts I could really use. But I kept one set in tact for possible use in my home Space Build. I did build Mr Oz's space car in both configurations (since I bought two sets for parts). I think the space car, with a little detailing work, could totally fit in to Space Police III, imho. I saw an alt build on Rebrickable that turned the space-oriented parts into a scifi rover, which I thought was pretty cool, but not sure if I want to drop the money for the instructions. I have not had a chance to get Mr. Oz's Space Bus, but it is on the list for this year. As far as 2026 Dreamzzz, the only thing that might be useful for me so far is the shark tank set, but I need to review the parts to make sure. They've dropped the cyber vibe thing for 2026 and back to other stuff, so my interest has went to zero on that aspect. Ninjago remains useless for parts, and I avoid all license themes mainly for cost. So much of the rest of my purchases will probably be parts from BL. City has released another snow plow, so I am eye-balling that set. And I think there was one other set I was mildly curious about, but can't remember for sure? Still waiting to see what unlicensed sets Technic will (hopefully) release this year. Constraction remains a ghost town with Lego, so nothing there but BL stuff again. Quote
Lion King Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I don’t’ knwo where to talk about but this is kinda a palce for me to go. So…. i don’t know if you have heard “rumors” but i heard soenthign odd. There might be 3 new themes coming in June 2026. And some of them are in-house. I don’t know if it’s 100% true. Quote

Definitely bogus, as there are no set numbers unaccounted for and there’s no way a new theme would sneak up on us only a month before release, let alone three of them! I mean technically, there is a new theme coming in June, namely Shrek But nothing beyond that. With Dreamzzz and Monkie Kid both ending / already having ended, I suspect a new “big bang” theme is coming next year though Quote

No, but it’s not like TLG ever announce the discontinuation of themes The writing’s on the wall though. The last two Monkie Kid sets came out in January last year, and Dreamzzz doesn’t get a 2HY wave. Pretty clear signs I’d say Quote

And I heard about…”Edition” theme? Those rumors are very murky at the moment. It’s pretty shame that Monkie Kid and DreamZzz are meeting their ends in 2026. I would love to see a few more minifigure-included in-house themes. Quote

Not sure what you mean by Dreamzzz with one wave per a year? It has two waves per a year until this year. Generally speaking, I think in-house themes often have 2 waves per a year, no? As of April 22, there is no news on somebody wave for DreamZzz. I’m curious about new in-house theme rumors for this or next year. Quote

I meant that they could just go on with giving Dreamzzz one waver per year from this year on, instead of two like the last two years - instead of retiring it. At the same time, even if Dreamzzz retires there is no guarantee that another inhouse theme will take its place. 12 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Definitely not this year, as we know about all the set numbers already and new in-house themes tend to start in the 1HY anyway Like Dreamzzz you mean? ;). BrickBob Studpants Posted April 23 Posted April 23 4 minutes ago, Black Falcon said: Like Dreamzzz you mean? ;). That’s why I said “tend” Good example though, since we knew about Dreamzzz almost a year beforehand if I recall correctly (codename Titan). We usually know about big bang themes early on because of all the copyright shenanigans (Monkie Kid), tie-in shows etc. It’s harder to keep things a secret the more third parties get involved. In essence, if there’s a new in-house theme to replace Monkie Kid and/or Dreamzzz, we’ll know about well in advance. Quote
Devsan Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Does seem odd they would end Monkie Kid so soon after adding it to the LEGOLAND in Shanghai. But suppose could be the old situation of the left hand not knowing what the right is doing. Quote

Devil's advocate here but none of those additional things are strictly necessary for an in-house theme. I mean, it's 2026 so there probably will be tie-in material for major new themes, and even if there was nothing I feel sure we'd at least be aware of a massive black hole in set numbers that have been linked to sets for a theme due out in just over a month - happy to be surprised here, mind - but if Lego were revisiting a 'generic' theme (your Castle, Pirates, Space, Western, etc.) or even introducing a new 'generic' theme (for example Romans or Samurai*) then there wouldn't necessarily be quite so much need for copyright or tie-ins. Such a theme would stand a greater chance at going unnoticed until late in the day. This would go doubly so if it was launching as a Lego exclusive, as you've now also closed the 'leaks' that might come from retailers' catalogues appearing online. * these are just ideas off the top of my head, with no consideration as to the merit of these as actual themes On the topic at hand, it's been a good while since I've frequented the forum so it's possible I've mentioned this already upthread but I've thought for a while that it would be good to see the old Europa prototype be given a new lease of life. Though a big part of the appeal for me is in the mystique of those prototype photos, and especially the 'classic style' elements that never ended up seeing the light of day. I'm not sure whether an actual take on the theme done following modern design philosophies would hit quite the same. Quote
