Queen Anne's Revenge MOC

Recommended Posts

Leaving a set as it is just isn't good enough for me.

It started with some modifications but it got out of control.

The only part that is left somewhat original is the stern which btw had some modifications as well such as the addition of ladders near the cabin's entrance (it now has a real entrance) and an arched balcony. What I like a lot about the set are the sails, and the swords-crown patern on them Imperial Armada maybe ?

At first I wasn't too fond about those "headrail" pieces but eventually I found a way to make them look more decent.

To make an accurate minifigure scale replica it will probably have to twice the size it is now.

I wanted to make a door to the cabin but that didn't work out. Turning to the inside would make the cabin too cramped and turning to the outside wasn't possible because the mast would block the door.

Sliding turntable cannons, just like the Skull's Eye Schooner. You might have noticed the broadside reinforcements which were also typical to the SES. There are four of them though I only have 3 cannons.

I love your crows nest. I wanted to make one for my QAR but didn't know how I should do it. Thank you for posting these great pics! Awesome job on the mod.

Really nice mod. I love the way you made the additions to the bow back, and great idea for the crows nest.

Great job

I was waiting for someone to do this, very well done. I only wish it came like that from Lego. :pir_bawling:

When I eventually get this ship the mods will certainly be required! I love how you made the curve and the crow's nest! However I would just leave the new headrail's without anything on them.
