Some pictures/hyperlinks would be nice (Bricklink is extemely slow these days...!) for us to help you make up your mind.

If I were you I would not choose anything but buy them all! How's that? These are not the most expensive sets around and they are sufficiently available in every toystore.

Well, I'd say if he's choosing he isn't doing so because he can afford all the sets and just doesn't want to...he probably has his money budgeted for other things

It fully depends on your own liking but if you just skip the large 7998 you could avoid

any traffic jam (and size/proportion distortion) for your city. :-)

And perhaps some Hulk comic would do the green job.... X-D

When I'm in a dilemma like that, I always consider the following:

Which combination comes with more figures?

Which combination comes with more parts?

Which combination gives you more complete soldiers (i.e enough weapons, shields and equipment for all)?

Which combination comes with the most new stuff?

Which combination avoids having to pay TRU premiums?

7990 and 7991 are the new town classics

i like the fact that 7998 is green but i hate the huge parts!

so the first two would be my choice!

I'd go for the Garbage Truck and the Cement Mixer. The Heavy Hauler is just a monster, and has two gigantic <insert that tiresome argument> parts.

i might be the only EBer who doesn't like the cement mixer... and in contrast, i love the hauler.

7998 and 7991 are the two sets that brought me back into city fandom.

It seems 7991 and 7998 conquer all, but I have a small town, and DEFINETLEY not enough space for 7998.

So it's most likely 7990 and 7991.

BTW, I've just turned into a T(Teenager)FOL. :-P X-D
