Please help me

I know these are probalby pretty noobish questions but their are just some things i cant figure out. For instance i dont know how to get one of the pics at the bottom of the screen. You know like Mattzitron's type writer thingy or dienochases's seahawks logo. I just cant figure it out :unsure: . Also where do u guys get ur avatars. notice how mine's just prateeks. That took me an hour to figure out so if any one can help it would be much apreciated

Up there /\ Near the top of the forum is a link that says MY CONTROLS

Click there, and on the left-hand side there's a row of links in the menu, In the PERSONAL PROFILE section there are a number of links, among them EDIT SIGNATURE and EDIT AVATAR SETTINGS.

EDIT SIGNATURE: This is what places an image or text at the bottom of your post. There's a dialog box in that option where you input what you want to appear down there. If it's just text, just type in whatever. If you want an image, you have to have the URL (Web address) of the image you want to use, and then type that into the box surrounded by the image board tags {IMG}http://www.address.com/image.jpg{/IMG} Replacing { } with [ ]. Although be sure the image you're using is hosted from your own webspace or from someone who will allow you to use theirs because linking from other sites without permission is called "Bandwidth theft" and is generally frowned upon.

EDIT AVATAR SETTINGS: This is a little easier because you don't need to host from webspace, you can upload an image right from your computer to the site for use. Just make sure your image is at most 100 X 100 pixels and either type in the URL, or hit the BROWSE button and find the file to upload from your computer.

yeah whenever i pick an avatar it says i can't use it. Is that because

1. i don't have enough posts.

2. upload problems or

3. the picture is'nt lego

Probably just upload problems or you're trying to add something that's too big then the 100X100 pixel limit

Use the "insert link" button, then copy/paste the web page, click ok, then click whate you want to write and press ok and voil

I know this is one post after another, but that one was ages ago. Anyway I want to know is there a way of putting pictures in a post without them being on the internet? Like when people are doing reviews. Btw I don't want to do one I just want to put pictures in a post.

You can add a single file at the end of a post. If you want them to be in the post, they need to be on the internet.
