Jason Cicchini Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Dearest Lord Kelperth Darwyn, All is quiet upon the Southern Border as of late. Traders and Artisans have made their way through our humble halls, bringing news that is both comforting and also alarming. Some trappers from the edge of the Mystic Isles making their way to Barqa told us of a brimming uneasiness in the East, due to a Championship the Drow are hosting. Therefore, I have sent out a message to one of our closest companions in Kaliphlin, Markus Kahlan. I have invited him to Dar' Kalil to discuss the state of affairs and possible strategies. Fear not, your prize liason shall settle this matter post haste. Sincerely, -Lady Talisa Forkroot Lady Talisa Forkroot receives Markus Kahlan and his escorts. Kayne Posted February 15, 2012 That looks very good. I like the contrast from the lush Avalonian landscape to the harsh desert.
Rogue Angel Posted February 18, 2012 Very nice Embassy! I like the octagonal walls, and the arches and radar dishes. You've done a good job with those trees - they look very Kaliphlinian. I really like the windows, shutters and tiling along the bottom of the walls. Very nice!
Jason Cicchini Posted February 18, 2012 Thanks everyone for the kind comments! @Rogueang - Thanks! I tried to make a tree design that was unique, and one that would be found in the scrub between a desert and a forest. Can't take credit for the shutter design, though, that's obviously a Mod of Derfel's technique! @CptMugwash - Thanks so much! It's an honor to be complemented by a member of the Kaliphlin guild! Southern hospitality is definitely alive and well! @Kayne - Thank you, sir. To be commended by you is a very high honor!
de Gothia Posted February 18, 2012 Looks really good Jason! Very nice details that you got in that moc! I´ve never seen that technique on trees before! Very nice and something that I might borrow!
Jason Cicchini Posted February 18, 2012 Looks really good Jason! Very nice details that you got in that moc! I´ve never seen that technique on trees before! Very nice and something that I might borrow! Thanks, de Gothia! Though, when I saw you were doing an embassy in the same region, I knew I'd have no shot at the top! You're welcome to use the "desert tree" design. It's just a variation of a 1x1 round brown flower piece, either a lightsaber or staff bar in brown, 1x1 green bricks with leaves, and 1x1 round bricks to hold it all together. Here's hoping we take the top spot for embassies this round! Our guild certainly deserves it!
Palathadric Posted March 4, 2012 That's a nice little build if I ever saw one. Very nice designs. Certainly not a boring squared well. Great job!
