  1. Only one model today :D For a long time I wanted to build a classic agricultural trailer. It was supposed to be a standard double axle version. However, when I built the New Holland and Fendt tractors, I changed my mind and decided to build a tandem trailer. I made such a decision for a simple reason. The only output that can be controlled in tractors is the PTO shaft. This version of the trailer does not have to have a pneumatic system or engine to raise the kiper. In addition, the model had to be in a popular color because I wanted to create an instruction for it. The choice fell on Krampe Big Body 550. Trailer frame The frame is a fairly simple liftarm structure. The first version had a pendular suspension, but I had to remove it because the loaded trailer was unstable. Thanks to this, I could additionally strengthen the frame and move the cylinder towards the hitch in order to increase the load capacity. At the moment, it is about 1 kilogram Tipper I wanted to build a realistic model. Because of that I had to give up technic panels. If I used them, the tipper would weigh 1/3 of its current weight. Bricks are heavy, so the payload has dropped. The model looks very good like model–team one. I am glad that I managed to reproduce the curvature of the sides. The tailgate lifts automatically when the tipper is lifting. The trailer has a system of pull rods that lift it up. If the tractor has a pneumatic system, it can be replace by lego pnaumatic cylinders as a separate function Thanks for reading!   2. Hello Over the past couple of months I have been enjoying building 42054 - what a great little set. Once I'd finished it, I wet about MODing the appearance somewhat, and have ended up with two different set-ups. Descriptions and photos below (hopefully the pics aren't too big, but apologies in advance to the mods if I've messed it up yet again...) Configuration 1 - 8-wheels with stock silage plough & cosmetic modifications Apart from the obvious addition of four extra wheels, I also modified the bodywork as follows: - Altered wheel hubs (apologies, I can't remember who did this white/red mod to the Claas wheels originally, think there's videos on Youtube but if that person is a member EB then thanks to you.) - More rounded fenders/mudguards, both front and back. - Exhaust with chrome parts and decals. - Windscreen wiper to deal with any flying 'muck' - see Configuration 2 below... - Chrome filler cap. - Additional spotlights at the front. - Slight change to roof detail including aerial/additional red hazard lights to rear. - Improved step ladder. - Additional warning decals at front. So, nothing very revolutionary or technically interesting, but I enjoyed making the changes and personally I think the mudguards look better than the stock versions. I did build the crane first but didn't like how bulky it was compared to the tractor, so I ended up with the stock 'B model' () silage plough. I took it outside for some photos: Configuration 2 - 4-wheels with slurry tank trailer & cosmetic modifications I then removed the plough and the extra wheels, and set about creating my first-ever MOC. I was inspired, first generally by the amazing work on 42054 of @BrickbyBrickTechnic, and secondly by one of these - single-axle slurry tank trailers: My tank includes: - Dual slurry pipes and sprayers, for the sprayin' of that muck. - Third wheel for stabilisation when disconnected from tractor (can be released by partly pulling out the axle with stop & red bush). - Custom decals. - Fake on/off switch for slurry pump. - Full set of hazard notices and warning lights, plus chains on the hitch. - Black cover can be easily slid back by removing a couple of securing axles. For when it's time to blast-clean the old muck, before re-filling with fresh muck. I absolutely acknowledge that my MOC is only an approximation of the above, rather than a replica (in particular, using the available spare pieces at my disposal, I wasn't able to recreate the cylindrical shape of the tank). It also doesn't use particularly great building techniques and hasn't got decent functions. However my aim was to create something for my Claas to tow that looked quite nice, and also to complete my first ever actual proper MOC (one previous failed attempt notwithstanding). By these criteria, I achieved something of which I'm happy. I'd love to hear your opinions, but I realise that it isn't up to much, so no worries if you don't have an opinion on any of this, one way or the other.... I also added some headlight effects, again influenced by @BrickbyBrickTechnic's past work on the Claas:
  3. TC19 entry not finished, but I got those small tractor tyres, anf of course, I need to build that Class Xerion This is the size It is pretty small. 4x4 seems impossible. Maybe some 2 steering modes, but not shure. This is how it scales. It is already littlebit wider, but there is still almost no space for something. Finish in page two with more pics 29.01.2022.   4. Hi all, After months of work I'm almost done designing a hay rake for the Class Xerion, with one design decision left for which I just can't make up my mind. Opinions are welcome. The rake arms on the left are more symetric but shorter. The arms on the right have alternating lengths, but overall more amplitude.
  5. Hi everyone, finally took some pics of my Xerion. Its kind-of finished, but could do with some cleaning up here and there. Anyway, here's what i have so far..! 4 Wheel drive (Motorised RC) 3 Diff locks, all using the orange wave selector and all manual. Track width is about 1L to wide, but to get the drive, steering and diff lock in, plus have the tyres not foul the chassis when turning, its the best compromise. 2 steering modes - both the steering and the mode selector are motorised and RC. Rear axle has two steering racks, small LA slide the pinion axle to engage the 'other' rack to give standard 4 wheel steering and crab. Rotating cab using a modified version of 42054 - was motorised, but changed the layout of a few bits, not yet reconnected it. Bonnet is a lengthened 42054 but mounted at a different angle. Rear 3 point linkage, motorised and RC. Very similar to the one i had on the Axion. Dimensions are: 130mm tyres, Overall length 46cm, height 24cm and wheelbase is 22cm Not sure if i'm going develop it much further... i get kinda bored after a while and take things apart to start something new. (case IH Stieger or Magnum Row trac maybe...) I'm always poor and embedding and sharing pics, so at some point in the next 10 mins i'll get the flickr album link added plus a couple of pics.   6. Hi With my first post on eurobrickst I’d like to show my Claas Xerion 5000 track VC MOC (although it is more than one year old). Some Ideas are taken from the original Claas (steering system) and efferman (position and type of motors). The goal was to implement as many realistic functions as possible – for example a 3-point linkage system and hood with auto-lock function. Motorized functions XL Motor for propulsion (4 wheel driving) Servo-Motor for steering (with a linking system similar to the one in the original Claas) L-Motor for linkage system (hoist up / down) L-Motor for rear PTO (clockwise) and hydraulic pump (against clockwise) – one motor drives two functions depending on direction of rotation The motorized functions are powered by one sbrick in combination with a standard battery box (under the hood). Pneumatic functions Motorized pump is connected to a hydraulic connection at front and rear to support attachments with hydraulic power (and a valve to switch between front and rear) Manual functions 3 steering modes (4-wheel-steering, front-wheel-steering, crab-steering) with manual switch (similar as in the original Claas) Openable hood with auto-lock system - meaning you can lift the tractor by the hood 180° rotatable cabin (rotatable by a small black gear) Easy-accessible power-on-of-switch (as in the original Claas) Switch to change between front and rear linkage system (small gearbox) Other functions Pendular front axle (with soft suspension springs for stabilization) 3-point linkage system at front and rear with auto-lock connection (front: 1 mini LA, rear: 2 mini LA) which is quite robust LED-lights on hood and cabin (2 pairs) Trailer hitch (tow ball at rear) Attachments beside the 3-point linkage system (front / rear) and the trailer hitch you can add weight on top of the rear wheels or you can add a gooseneck connection with working driveshaft I already built a snow plow and a snow blower which I will portrait soon The functions work well as long as the resistance is not to strong.   11. Hey all, here is something I've been working on. Its a mini Claas Xerion, black edition. Length, width and height are about half the size of set 42054. It started with an idea for turning the cab, as I want to put almost the same systeem in my bigger Xerion. (It isn't complete as I'm missing a few parts.) Building the steering systeem to get 4 wheel steering has taken the most time. Turning of the cabin. I'm also building an implement for the Xerion, which I also want to build for the bigger Xerion.   12. Hi! Finally, I present to you my dump trailer for Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC, which I've built quite a long time ago and teased you with in this topic. My intention was to model a really cool looking trailer Krampe HP30 - a 3 axle offroad heavy haul trailer, which goes perfectly to Claas Xerion 5000 set. I didn't actually scale it, but scetches/blueprints on the official site were of good use. As you can see on the photo below, I made a fake front cylinder, which unfortunately doesn't exist in LEGO Technic, so I had to cheat and used a pulley system to lift this huge red bathtub. String drum located on the front of the trailer is rotated by rear PTO of the tractor. I used the fantastic Efferman's motorized remake, but an OOB 42054 model could run it too. The trailer is steered as well - BUT! - Shamefully, I've realized 1st and 3rd axle should be steered and not 2nd and 3rd like I built it. And that happened just an hour ago while editing the video! Oh well, I will have to put more effort in research next time Somehow, I missed the video explaining the steering part on YT. Steering is modelled by levers and works according to the angle between the tractor and the trailer. The 3rd axle has larger steering angle than the 2nd. As you can imagine, it has some play in it... All three axles are suspended (normal springs for 1st and 2nd axle, hard springs for the 3rd.) - I borrowed and altered axle designs from MB Arocs set. Tailgate raises automatically and is locked when the dumper is lowered. Here are some details, to make the trailer more juicy . ...and the underbelly - for those eager Technic fans, who can't do without .
