  1. MOC: Tailgating with a sixpack of Duff Beer I was genuinely conflicted as to where to post this. I'd considered the Scale forum, but that didn't seem right. Maybe the Special forum? Possibly, but again not right. So, I've put it in the Licensed forum for its Simpson's reference. I hope you enjoy it - now, if you'll excuse me I have to crack open another beer - it looks like i spilled the first. More stuff and nonsense on Flickr - https://www.flickr.com/photos/eurotrash48903/ Mods: Please feel free to move this elsewhere if you think it's a better fit there.
  2. I built this set to match with the official LEGO Simpsons sets 71006 The Simpsons House and 71016 Kwik-E-Mart. I've included the pool table, jukebox, Laramie cigarette machine, love tester, television, and fully stocked bar (with hidden shotgun!) - all with a detachable roof and opening back wall. I also did custom graphics which are printed onto genuine Lego pieces for the wall-mountain photos and advertisements (including The B Sharps, Playdude, Duff Beer, Mount Lushmore, and Flaming Moe's - look at the final image to see them all). 3. So LEGO Simpsons. An oddball theme that came out of left field. This theme had 2 sets, 3 Dimentions sets, and 2 CFM series. Man, what is it with this theme and the number 2? So, there is a rumor out there, I found out about it through BrickVault, that Simpsons may be returning this year. I don't think it's all that possible, but I do hope it comes true. So below are sets that LEGO should make in The Simpsons. 5: Mr. Plow truck. Coming from one of my favorite episodes of all time, a Mr. Plow set would be great. The set would have the truck itself, an exclusive Home in his Mr. Plow attire, an Exclusive Grandpa Simpson, and an exclusive Bart, to help recreate that commerical. The Set would be $20 USD. (United States Dollars) 4: Springfield Police Station. Retailing for $100 USD, this set would be a detailed Springfield Police Station and come with Lou, Eddie, Cheif Wiggum, Snake, and Lionel Hutz. This is a pretty self explainatory set, but this would be pretty cool. 3: Springfield Elementery. This would be the next Simspsons House. Retailing for $200, this would be a 2 floor and basement set, and this would have 2,500 pieces. It would look like how it looks like in the show, and would have 10 rooms. The figures would be Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, Skinner, Superintendent Chalmers, Ralph, Ms. Krapapple, Nelson, Martian, and 5 student characters. 2: The Blocko Store. Man, would this be a set! Retailing for $50, this would be the Blocko store from episode 497 "The D'oh-cial Network". This set would have Lisa, Homer, Bart, Marge, a store clerk, and Maggie. 1: Blockoland. From episode 263 "Hungry Hungry Homer", this set would be $200, and have 3 Blockland clerks, a ticket taker, the Simpsons family, the Flanders family, and 3 ride operators. The parts of the set will be just like in the episode.
  4. This is a page based on the new possibility of a new Lego Simpsons sets and CMF sets. This is not for the older sets but the possibility of new sets.
  5. I was initially very surprised by the lack of Simpson themed sets that LEGO has put out. With the lack of these sets in mind, there are plenty future set possibles to come and further expand Springfield! Given the show's success, and with it being the longest-running TV comedy, I would've expected LEGO to release many more sets (even a 3rd Minifigure series). With greatly enjoying both LEGO and The Simpsons, I found it to be a perfect opportunity to take on this fun and somewhat difficult challenge of both building and designing none other than Krusty Burger! I've tried to keep the very same building style as the other 2 Simpson sets LEGO has released previously, squeezing in as much detail as possible leading to a more filled up and less boring restaurant. By the way, I've posted this build onto LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/content/project/link/28efa19b-fdea-482f-806a-10a77b58d9f6 Hope you like the build !
  6. Imagine if LEGO brought back any of your favourite themes like The Simpsons, LOTR or POTC for a CMF series. Who will you choose to be in that said series.
  7. I tried to get this as accurate as possible to the office shown in the show. I'd have loved to have made a trap door but even with the heightened base it wouldn't drop a Minifigure clear. But I put the button on the desk next to the chair to be accurate anyhow. I designed the chair and phone and clock and desk but I think I got the design of the lamp from Lego and tweaked it a bit i didn't intend the power plant style base but the idea hit me when I got the batman movie sets and the curved red pipe piece plus it was a good way to incorporate Blinky the fish which I wanted to do. I think on future I'll add the curtains and some walls to one or both sides.
  8. Here on Eurobricks we love to give our members cool prizes and we've got a treat for you. Two LEGO Dimensions character packs are up for grabs! Treehouse of Horror is now a Halloween tradition, so it fits the season! What I want to see is some Spooky Simpsons builds. We can see the folks of Springfield enjoying the festivities, representation of our favourite alien visitors or some creation of favourite tales from the treehouse. All you need to do is follow these simple rules: You need to be a member of Eurobricks who joined before the 20th October 2016.. This is a fun thing, so have FUN! The MOC needs to have at least two (2) original Lego pieces in it, NO clone ones. You can build either with real parts or use LDD, MLCad etc. The MOC needs to be new - no recycling here please - just fresh stuff. The entry must be posted in this thread before 10 pm GMT, by the 4th of November, 2016. Your entry must include one image (and only one image) and be no larger than 800x600. One entry per qualified member. All members including the Staff can join, all but me that is Two random qualifying builds will be drawn after entry closes and the creators will win the prize! So get building and have fun.
  9. Graphics & Renders By Gabriele Zannotti (https://www.flickr.com/photos/137478436@N07) 2016 marks the 25th anniversary of The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop’s first appearance in the twenty-first episode of show’s second season on May 9th, 1991 titled Three Men and a Comic Book. This year The Simpsons theme has taken what I assume is a break therefore I found an opportunity to create the next model that would succeed 2015’s 71016 - Kwik-E-Mart. With superheroes and pop culture being a primary aspect of LEGO's relationship with many well-known IP's I found Android's Dungeon to be a worthy fit with the theme. The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop by Adeel Zubair, on Flickr This highly detailed and iconic model of The Simpsons store is packed with rich, colourful details! Walk under the huge Android's Dungeon sign and join Bart, Millhouse and Martin as they browse the shelves filled with comics, collectibles, toys and more – including: Radioactive Man #1, 10182 - Café Corner, Itchy, Scratchy, Poochie figurines, Perky Patty's Princess Shop, Grand Theft Scratchy - Video Game, Malibu Stacy Doll, Star Wars (1977) - VHS, C3PO Bust and many more! This fantastic model includes 6 Minifigures: Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson, Marge Simpson, Comic Book Guy, Milhouse Van Houten, Martin Prince and Radioactive Man. 10. Summer Fun is just around the Corner ! https://flic.kr/p/G2tdRN As Winter turns to Spring, can Summer be far behind? 12. As requested by many people like Freddy Bricker and Rinzler, here's a thread where we can see which minifigures we're missing out of the upcoming The Simpsons theme. The following characters are confirmed already: Homer Lisa Marge Bart Maggie Ned Chief Wiggum Moe Apu Itchy Scratchy So, just put the name of a the character, what appearance they'll be based on (link to a reference picture), and an accessory that they'd have. Similar to the missing minifigure thread. Name: Appearance: Accessory: Or you can just do it as a sentence with those in it. I guess I'll start! I'd love to see Ralph Wiggum. Here's how he usually looks. His accessory would be a glue bottle, similar to what was in the Kidrobot figure!
  13. Hi, On hearing about the release of the Simpsons mini-figures a few months back, we set to work creating a series of scenes. Now we have all the figures, I'm releasing videos of each scene over the next few weeks. Some are 16x16 baseplate scenes based on a Simpsons episodes and some are 6x6 plates to show off a custom Simpsons mini-figure we've created. This has been a fairly large task, so I hope you like what we've been working on. Please comment if you like them. Silence may be golden, but its depressing after putting so much effort into something. This is the first video: Thanks for watching, Mike
  14. (Mods: Feel free to move this to the Future Simpsons Set topic if you don't think it deserves it's own) Ok, so the Simpsons CMF line was just revealed. Obviously a lot of characters are missing, but that happens when you have a cast of secondary and background characters that numbers in the HUNDREDS at this point. Everyone who is a fan has their "Aww why didn't they include [name of your favorite character]?" Ok, so, let's say this line sells really, really well and LEGO decides to do a second CMF series. What sixteen characters do YOU want to see in it? Here's my realistic wish list. 'Realistic' because from a business standpoint LEGO will want to include new variations of the core family members (and re-use their molds) so the line wouldn't be ALL background characters. I mean, I'd personally love a line of nothing but background characters, but your average consumer is going to want to buy characters they are familiar with, so more Barts, Homers, Marges, and Lisas. Left off Maggie since I think we've seen her two basic variations in the show already. 1. Bartman w/ cape and comic book tile or slingshot 2. Homer in his underwear and drool face w/ either can of Buzz Cola (no Duff ever in LEGO form, sadly), can of Gum & Nuts, or can of cat ear medication 3. Lisa in church clothes (couldn't think of a better Lisa variation, feel free to suggest one) 4. Marge in church clothes (again, couldn't think of a better variation, feel free to suggest one) 5. Comic Book Guy w/ comic book tile 6. Moe 7. Snake w/ gun and money bag 8. Cletus 9. Moleman w/ cane 10. Smithers 11. Willie w/ rake 12. Sideshow Bob w/ knife (or rake) 13. Dr. Hibbert w/ syringe and x-ray tile (or in a world without copyright issues: a MASH coloring book). 14. Sherri/Terri (would need to buy two of the same fig to complete the set) 15. Kang/Kodos w/ How to Cook For Humans book and ray gun 16. Bumblebee Man w/ small dog And who would have made the list if the four family members weren't on it: 1. Lenny 2. Carl 3. Mrs. Krabappel w/ test tile (Bart's from the episode "Bart Gets an F") 4. Martin Wildcard option: - Poochie w/ surfboard. Because it would be beyond funny if LEGO wasted a spot on him and fit the sarcastic humor of the show. It was tough narrowing it down and a lot of characters STILL got left on the cutting room floor. Honestly they could do ten series and there would still be characters left out. So, what would your hypothetical series 2 look like?
  15. Hello! I am back with a new townhouse/mansion MOC. It is inspired by the official LEGO Simpson's House set; however, I found that the set was too suburban to fit well with my urban city, so I decided to take the essence of the house and transform it into a modular building. IMG_9676 by Topper (TT for short), on Flickr Here is the front of the exterior, featuring some SNOT technique and a simple, green door. IMG_9693 by Topper (TT for short), on Flickr This is the first floor interior Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I just wanted to include the spirit of the Simpson's house into my city, as well as fulfill my girlish desires to have a dollhouse made out of Lego bricks. Thanks again, and if you would like you can see this creation in more detail on YouTube at: ... Or Flickr at: https://www.flickr.c...157656628227885
  16. EDIT; Image of 71016 The Kwik-E-Mart added. According to CM4Sci and David Thomsen, we will be getting a new minifigure series of The Simpsons next year. I expect that'll mean more sets too. Discuss!
  17. Hi Guys just thought I would share with you my super fantastic competition to win the simpsons house and all the blind bag mini figures. please follow the link link removed
  18. Can't wait for the kiwk-e-mart!
  19. Alright, so I usually do quick photo reviews when I get new sets. That's what I'll do here, but there's quite a few photos, so I thought I might as well make its own review thread. So, I got the Kwik-E-Mart by paying just2much on an early eBay copy. I think it's worth it, as this week I'm gonna be super busy, so I was able to build it Saturday and stuff. Here's my video review, I think it's one of my best: Well, let's get onto this photo review. The set is $200 USD with a little over 2100 pieces. The official release is April 15th for VIP members, May 1st for everyone else at LEGO Stores. And, if you want full size pictures, check out my Flickr by clicking here. The minifigures included are great. You get three exclusive minifigures (one being a completely exclusive character- the first time LEGO has ever put an exclusive mould in a Direct to Consumer set), and you get three of the series most popular characters in their normal attire for those who missed out on the first Simpsons minifigures series. The Kwik-E-Mart's exterior is loaded with lots of sticker details. The only printed detail you'll see in the exterior is the dial pad in the phone booth, which has appeared in some other licensed themes since last year. ( ^^^ right here is there the store can be opened- a simple Technic pin and receiver keeps it in place and allows for opening and closing) The roof of the store includes the garden shown in the Paul McCartney episode. The roof can be slided out/in once you open it with the hinge part. Here's a look at the store with the roof removed. The floors are a nice sand blue color, coming with 8x16 thin plates: And, for the interior, from the view of the store opened with the hinges at the back that I mentioned earlier: The left front corner, which includes some arcade machines of Bonestorm and Great White Hunter, an amazingly done Buzz cola soda machine, juice machine, the checkout counter, ect: The right front corner, with food aisles, freezers, and a frozen Jasper sticker: The back left corner, which includes some nice coffee kettle builds, the donut tray, hotdogs, ect: The right back corner, which has a door leading to a very small hallway that only has a mouse and cheese in it. The hallway leads to the employees only door in the back, and it's very hard to get in the door way (not that there's anything to do inside there): Also included is Clancy's copcar, which fits three figures: Here's a look at the piece list in the instructions, click on each to be lead to an enlarged version of the pic: Also included are some awesome printed pieces, and two unprinted coffee cups! Honestly, I think this set is perfect. The price is fantastic, and has a great PPP ratio. They really went above and beyond by including Snake in this set. I honestly think it's better than the Simpsons House in terms of accuracy and the value here- so many cool pieces printed and in exclusive colors. So, that's my quick picture review. Hope you guys enjoyed, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
  20. Hello everyone, I've thought about the LEGO Simpsons episode in relation to other LEGO licensed releases to DVD and Blu-Ray, and I wanted to start an open discussion about some of the questions below: 1. How will the LEGO Simpsons episode "Brick Like Me" be released? Would it be with the Season box set, or an independent release for LEGO fans? 2. When can we expect it released? 3. If it was an independent release, what type of exclusive minifigure could we expect with it? Although I have no information about its release, I created this topic to offer up predictions and possibilities for what the future may hold. Please be respectful to all user's comments; everyone's opinion is welcome and if questioned must not be done in a harmful way. In my opinion, I hope it's a separate release since LEGO fans may be less willing to buy an expensive box set for just one episode's worth (unless they like the Simpsons or have already bought it on iTunes for $2.99). If it has an exclusive figure, I wouldn't imagine LEGO making a new Simpsons mold for a figure. They typically create a variation of an existing figure for these DVD/Blu-Ray releases. I predict it would be a variation of Homer or Bart, never made before but changed by color or printing. For example, Bart in his original clothes from the original Simpsons shows when he had a blue shirt and blue shorts. Or maybe Homer in one of thousands of outfits he's worn before. Play well, Maniac4Bricks :)
  21. Well I am just puzzled, I have gotten minifigures before, but to get one without a head?!?!? I got a headless Maggi, Any ideas how I should handle it, call it in or just go get another one?...
