Hello everyone! Haven't been around the forums that much lately, but came to share a little project I've been working on recently. Basically, when they revealed the Sagrada Família set, I was very excited, after all it's the most important building from my city, but the model is so bloody huge and expensive that there was no way I was going to buy that. That's when I remembered I had started a Barcelona skyline MOC, similar to the ones Lego used to do in the Architecture theme about 5 years ago and thought, well, maybe I could expand that model (that one only had a façade and four towers) into the whole thing and have it land around the 1000-piece mark, with a reasonable price. I thought you might enjoy the build yourselves, so I've made the instructions freely available on Rebrickable. The pieces are all fairly common and the whole thing should cost around 90€/100$, I've bought all of them straight from Pick a Brick and will post pictures once I build it! This is the façade that Gaudí saw built, the Façade of Birth, which shows different scenes from the birth of Christ. The tree of life crowns the façade. It's a frog in the Lego model This is the main back façade, the Façade of Passion, which is dedicated to the death of Christ. It's harsher and rougher in shapes and texture. On this side, my favourite detail I managed to sneak in is the metro entrace which sits right at the corner of the street (and that I have used myself plenty of times!) Finally there's the only unbuilt façade, the Glory Façade, dedicated to the rising to the heavens of Christ. Each façade has 4 bell towers. There being three façades, there's a total of 12 bell towers, which represent the apostles (yes, there is one dedicated even to Judas Iscariot too!) Then there is the whole assembly of towers in the centre of the the building. The tallest one is dedicated to Jesus Christ and measures 172.5m, just a tad bit shorter than the mountain of Montjuïc, Antoni Gaudí was very respectful of nature and did not want to surpass it. This tower's flankled by four needle-shaped towers that are dedicated to the four evangelists: Mark, John, Luke and Matthew. Finally, there is the tower that sits on the apse of the church, which is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is crowned by a pointed star. From the top you can also see how the pavement has chamfered edges leading to the road to show that this building sits in a plot of the Eixample, literally surrounded by the whole city. The whole roof and tower subassembly detaches to open up the interior, where you can see the treelike columns and the crypt, where Gaudí is buried. I've been reading the thread by @ameinild about the tower redesigns of the real set, so I'm not the only one not truly satisfied with the real set

This MOC is based on the building in 2026 Marvel set 76350 - Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash. I replaced all the tan parts, removed the fall-apart / explosion features, and enclosed it with a fold-open back half. The floors of the middle area are repeatable as well, if you desire more height for the building. Also, there are no interior details for this building in the LDD file. As for the MOC's name: this building echoes the 1960s 'Brutalist' architectural style, so I named it after that. NOTE: The building is missing a 3x3 tile with clock print of your choice on the front above the door. Rear of the building. The inside is totally empty. The building is supposed to lock shut on a Technic pin. (not included) The free LDD file of this MOC is available at this Bricksafe page. I will not be building this MOC myself... if anyone does, be sure to post pictures of it! Thoughts? -
This is my creation of Westeros where the epic fantasy saga “A Song of Ice and Fire” by George R. R. Martin and the HBO show “Game Of Thrones” mainly take place. The project fits in the Architecture Skyline theme. St. Nicholas Church (Estonian: Niguliste kirik, German: Nikolaikirche) is a medieval church building in Tallinn (Reval), Estonia. It was dedicated to Saint Nicholas, the patron of the fishermen and sailors. Originally built in the 13th century, it was partially destroyed in the Soviet bombing of Tallinn in World War II. The building itself has since been restored; however, as a church without its own congregation, it has not been used for regular religious activities since World War II. At present it houses the Niguliste Museum, a branch of the Art Museum of Estonia, focusing mainly on ecclesiastical art from the Middle Ages onward. It is also used as a concert hall. The model is built for a thematic exhibition in this very museum. Scale - 1:125 (one meter = 1 pin). There is no interior, but in the future there are plans to improve the model and add some interior spaces. The model is not an ideal copy, as there are some "creative allowances" caused by the strict deadline.
