  1. Hi everyone, I have finished my Space Police III layout last weekend. The built started during the holidays (Christmas) and after a few months and a few bricklink orders it is finally finished. When I took some pictures, I used a black cloth to erase the cluttered background. The layout contains an old hangar from the M-Tron. Now it is used by the Black Hole Gang for criminal activities. The Space Police is invading the hangar during a arms deal between the Black Hole Gang and Blacktron Future Generation. In the layout there is a police station. In the police station is a meeting with Space Police from other systems (S.P. I & II) and with the Unitron to discuss the presence of the Blacktron II on the planet. Across the street there is a cafe. In the Cafe is a band playing. The layout contains several vehicles and references to other themes. Here is an overview of the layout. Here is another view at the overpass and landing platform. Here is the link to the flickr album. For more pictures of the vehicles, hangar and cafe. Feedback and questions are welcome. Thank you for watching. Sander
  2. MOC: Quality Hammers & Tools I had an idea of creating a advertising sign with a Lego Rosie the Riveter/MC Hammer mashup (please don't ask why) and I had to then create a building to support it. It's a Track-side Freight Station for Quality Hammers & Tools, Inc. It has brick-built sliding doors, a rear loading bay, a wooden covered set of access stairs to the second floor and a new (to me at least) design for a worn out roof. Here's the roof detail (so many plates!) I had seen a commercial product for a scale railway building and it had an effective looking wooden covered access stairs so I decided to see if I could recreate it in Lego. Here's the rear loading bay and a close up of the source inspiration for the entire building. Whole lotta Rosie! All printing by Terry Akuna https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=10001062999106 Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome! More stuff and nonsense on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/eurotrash48903/
  3. Hi all Here's some pics of the lastest addition to my Brickston high street, a music shop an underground station like the ones seen around London. Let me know what you think Can I interest you in a guitar sir? No. How about a piano or a drum kit? Nice apartment. Must be some cash lying around.... oh no the cops are on to me!! Just chilling in my rooftop Jacuzzi Hope you enjoyed. Check out my flickr for more photos (I'll try and take some better ones in the next few days) or check out my first moc, the florist (sorry shameless plug!!)
  4. Hi everyone, its been a while since my last build, so here it is my latest project Studdington Station. I don't consider myself a train enthusiast or expert, hence there is no engine in this MOC, but as I enjoy making buildings and a little landscaping I thought this would be a nice way to combine my interests. I figure all towns and cities need a train station so I've put it in here! although the admins may wish to move as appropriate. This has took way much longer than I would of liked to finish but it's eventually been done. It was influenced by many British countryside stations build in the Victorian era. A lot of these buildings are now defunct due to low usage and have been converted in to homes and other business's. Due to my small desk, I've cut the size of the platform considerably so it's not realistic at all! There is no interior this time sadly. I'll save my ideas for another project! There is a few 'untidy' areas which I perhaps could of eventually figured out a better solution for but just wanted to get it finished. Anyway, enough waffle and on with the pics, there is only 5 in total this time and I've posted them all below; If you wish to view them in flickr the link is here: https://www.flickr.c...s/52656812@N04/ Comments welcome in any form! Cheers
  5. I've had this MOC done for a while now (the first thing I've finished building in a very long time) but hadn't gotten around to posting it yet because I was very busy with my college work. However, now that it's summer, I'm finally getting around to it! It feels good to have some more time to give to Eurobricks again. Anyway, here it is, Brickington Center Station. This station located at the heart of downtown is perfect for hopping on a train that can bring you anywhere you need to go in the city. Pick up a quick snack at the bakery and buy your ticket before taking the escalator up to the platform. More pictures are located on my Flickr page. Thanks!
  6. Hi! I haven't been very active here for a while, but I was busy "working" on some LDD models and revising them. Some of you might have seen them already on my flickr photostream. I also got to render my models for the first time Ok, I'll show you the pics My revised BR Standard Class 9F "Evening Star" I borrowed codefox421's coaches to try on the 9F (all credit for the coaches goes to him, here is the link to his topic: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=97927 ) I also revised my GWR 14xx, but that'll be part of another topic soon Then I also rendered and (re) designed some rolling stock: From top left to bottom right: Cattle Wagon Tank Wagon Well Wagon Vent Van GWR 16 Ton Toad Brake Van BR 20 Ton Brake Van (brown livery) BR 20 Ton Brake Van (grey and yellow livery) I also designed a water tower: and a modular train station. This is one section: You can make it bigger: and build a pretty decent station: The station has too many parts to be rendered And another station building: I hope you enjoyed it Comments and criticisms are welcome! Greetings, Nick P.S.: You can see higher resolution pics on my flickr: http://www.flickr.co...s/94645638@N07/
  7. In 1900, a second deep level tube railway was opened beneath London's streets by the Central London Railway company. Some of these stations still exist forming part of London Underground's Central Line. This model illustrates how one of these stations would have looked in the 1930s. Station facade with office building above: The facade hinges open to reveal the ticket hall and wooden panelled entrances to two lifts: These stations were designed by the architect Harry Bell Measures. Unfortunately none have survived in the their original condition as they have either been demolished or had their lifts replaced by escalators: Link to album on Flickr https://www.flickr.c...57644218199203/
  8. Chicago, 2039 In other news tonight, a thief had robbed a Grocery Store at knife point in Sector 12 made a run for it. He was engaged by Police in Sector 11 and was chased all the way to Platform 7 in the downtown Monorail Station. The thief then jumped for a bridge above the rail, on to a Train that was going under the Bridge. The man is bearded with brown hair and wore a green shirt with brown pants and is believed to be in his mid 30s. If you have any information please contact the authorities. With this build i have taken some inspiration from near-future themed Mocs and made a nice near-future themed Monorail Station!
  9. Here's my entry into this years Expand the Winter Village contest: The Winter Village Train Station The train station is a historic system for the Winter Village. Inside you will find a waiting room with a model train diorama for people to enjoy. Thanks for looking and Happy New Year!
  10. Hello everyone! My latest build is finally complete after taking up most of my desk space for the last few months. It's called Grand Prix Auto Services. A Gas station/Garage which is of a streamlined style from around the 1930's/1940's USA. I struggled to build a car from that time with what bricks I have so went for a more late 50's look with the car and scooter. I've seen some great examples by fellow EB members L@GO and ER0L but felt with so many varied styles out there and not too many versions in Lego there was room for one more! Mostly I wanted to use some of the curved window pieces I had purchased some time ago and this was the perfect opportunity. Most of the model is built sideways with only a little vertical building in places. It's therefore a little less stable in certain sections. Anyway, enough waffle and on with the pics; Any feedback, comments or questions welcomed!
  11. http://www.brickbuil...n-instructions/ My original plan for Kotanga station was to build something fairly modest, but as time has gone on I've decided to develop the township beyond the baseboard I'm working on at present and build most of it on the adjoining baseboard. This means that I would now have room to have a goods yard as well as the loco shed and it's adjoining turntable, - AND also a proper railway station of an appropriately dignified appearance. I'd seen the Queen's Bridge station on the brickbuilderspro website a while ago and fell in love with its Victorian era appearance almost straight away. I kept telling myself that it was far too posh for Kotanga, but on the other hand some fairly significant industries operated out of Kotanga in the past with the sawmill, the coathanger factory and the post hole mine being the main ones. And of course there was the Summer tourist trade and gold mining as well. Soooooo I've come to the conclusion that a posh station was built at Kotanga afterall by the very well heeled county council of the time and later on when the NZ Government Railways took over the district's railway lines, all except for the Kotanga Tramway (because it was such a scruffy little concern back then), the glorious Victorian style station building continued in use and remains today as a completely unique relic of the Kotanga County's colourful past. While I like shunting a goods yard and doing all the 'on shed' locomotive movements before a loco begins its working day, I also like to run passenger trains. And with running passenger trains you have to have a decent looking station for them to stop at; - especially if they happen to be posh looking trains and possibly even express trains. So there you are that's how I decided that Kotanga will be getting such a nice station building even though it shouldn't really. Out of interest has anyone built this particular station before? It's supposed to fit on three 32x32 baseplates which happens to be as big as I could go with on the intended site anyway.
