Bionicle 2008 Images and Discussion
Ikki o' Moopyville replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I believe he was referring to the abundance of the word 'Makuta' in that sentence. :-P Did anyone notice Pohatu is pretty much a recolored Kongu Mahri? The orange is somewhat redeeming... but that head is the weirdest thing I've seen in a while. EDIT: Whoa, it looks like they changed the appearance of this basic piece... -Ikk -
Bionicle 2008 Images and Discussion

I'd actually prefer somewhat less good sets that at least looked like their true selves -- pretty much what the original Nuva were. But we know bones and Greg are gonna destroy all rebellion against these, when they surface on BZP. Oh, an' thanks fer th' pics, sasha634! -Ikk -

Six years. ;-) Nuva originally came out in 2002, while these will be released in 2008. I think it has a lot more to do with set designers 'working in the darkness' -- they design whatever they feel like, after which the story team creates a role for them in the storyline! An' don't forget Greg's statement that most fans were 1 or 2 years old when the Nuva were first released. :-| They'd have no idea about the originals. -Ikk -

Posted this in the Castle 2008 topic, but not sure it needs a topic of its own, or if it was already spotted... so closed if needed! EDIT: Attackship, not attackhip! :-P EDIT by *yoda* : pic added and title corrected ;-) -Ikk

Now it seems the folder is gone... *wacko* -Ikk -
Somewhere deep in the Greg Discussion Topic, I believe -- if you want the quote, good luck searching. =P -Ikk

'twas in his blog. :-) Also, I believe Greg said at least of these sets would include gears. *sweet* -Ikk

Bionicle story / character discussion topic.
Ikki o' Moopyville replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Not to mention, the 'suspense' in 06/07 consisted of the Toa reminding each other that they "must HURRY or the Great Spirit Mata Nui will DIE!" every other chapter. The fights and the running about seemed no more urgent after the Toa had cut the cord, than it did at when the Nuva quietly walked around the island of Voya Nui in IoD. Besides, I blame Mata Nui's death on Kongu and Hewkii. Without their mingbogglingly overused jokes, the Mahri would've made it in time. :-P But I'm convinced the book will contain a more satisfying version of the comic's vastly rushed sequences. -Ikk -
Bionicle story / character discussion topic.
Ikki o' Moopyville replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in LEGO Action Figures
"... and he won't get a second one. Stop! Don't harm that mask! Enter the wacky world of WONKA!" :-D Didn't anyone feel it was a pretty anti-climatic way for Mata Nui to die after all the suspense that had been built up (or maybe there wasn't any)? I hope the book and next comic will be better. :-/ -Ikk -
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Vignette!
Ikki o' Moopyville replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Now THAT sounds awesome! The Hitchhiker's Guide series is pretty much my favorite book series of all time. *sweet* And best of all, the possibilities are maddeningly endless! "Eddies in the space-time continuum!" "Ah, is he, is he." "Like I said, eddies in the space-time continuum!" "And that's his sofa?" -Ikk -
I think the issue is that not ALL Lesovikk/Hahli sets have this problem. My Hahli's lime joints lived through everything I put them through, and it was pretty rough. The thing is, a batch of lime parts, which is ironically the color Lego's fixed on this year, was poorly molded or something akin -- alas, those were packed into sets before the flaw was discovered. So, sadly, it's all a matter of luck or lack if you get a sound Lesovikk or Hahli set! :-/ Replacement parts shouldn't have the same problem, though, I hope. -Ikk

The Takadox-headed fella, I presume? Sure, Skullray sounds great to me. In fact, anything with a skeletal touch to it is sweet. *skull* *sweet* -Ikk

Well, I don't exactly see the point in repeating the same useless statement over and over, especially when it's not on topic. It's not like you're being forced to click the link to the toy you loathe so much every time it pops up in front of your eyes. We're free people. :-) Your effort here could even be of great use in other sections of EB! -Ikk
-
Look, we know. There's no need to go spamming topics just because your interest is gone. Why not run off to another EB forum and have fun there? Everybody would win that way. ;-) -Ikk

You mean the 2008 Nuva will have blay parts in them? Sure, that sounds likely... if somewhat random. -Ikk
-
Why on Earth would they be blay? -Ikk
-
Zombies? What? All that happens if a Toa has his/her mask removed is a gradual weakening. They were initially defeated by the Piraka because of a surprise attack -- later, when recharging with the odds on their side, they were defeated by Brutaka. The Nuva are stronger than the Piraka, but strength is not all that matters. -Ikk
-
:-D He says no such thing. He holds their masks because they are captured. I suggest you read the books, it fully explains how the Nuva were defeated, locked away, and freed. Besides, how on Earth could they be doing their mission told of in the Nuva Blog if they were dead? xD If you don't have access to the books, try the Wiki. -Ikk

It would appear the site has been updated with new story stuff and a Toa Mahri movie! Good thing it's not long between the updates. *sweet* -Ikk -
