Bionicle 2009 Images and Discussion
Ikki o' Moopyville replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, Av-Matoran heads for the Minitorian would mean a trans-blue Av-head on Metus. =D That would rock! As for the Glatorian, a 1000 bucks say they do not have Av-heads. Maybe Metru ones... or likely new molds. EDIT: Is it just me... or does Berix, Zesk, and Raanu have flip masks? -Ikk -

This is definitely German. Either way, from what I know, all of Europe sans the UK gets them around Marchish. =P -Ikk -

Since the site is German and lists the prices in Euros, obviously the month of release is March -- winter sets are always released in March in Europe. -Ikk -

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's just the reflection of light in his torso +holes. Thought there were +rods in there myself at first, too. -Ikk -

Time for me to join the bandwagonesque one-by-one To Buy lists! Minitorian: Berix, Metus, Zesk. Gali color scheme, crystalline shield, leopard. Maybe Raanu for his pure magnitude of magmaness. Glatorian: Tarix, Strakk, Vorox -- Atlantean, crystal, and tan. Overload of sheer win! Tuma, Fero, Skirmix... nay. If my hopes come true and the super-large sets of 2009 are Rahi, I'll be spending enough money on those -- and on Mata Nui! -Ikk -

I'm wearing no glasses -- aside from articulation issues, the Mata have the coolest style, masks, and proportions of all sets -- IMO, 'course. These sets are simply awesome in different aspects. -Ikk -

The Toa Mata beat these by far, yep, but the Nuva were always very mediocre what with their bubbling masks and cartoony armor style. One point where these win over even the Mata is posability -- plus, their colors in some places are even more elementally intertwined. Mata > Glatorian > (long list) > Nuva -Ikk -

The Toa Nuva are absolutely fail compared to these. They blow anything away since the Rahkshi, and maybe the Toa Metru. -Ikk -

*escessive drooling* OKay, so no Mata green. But Vorox actually has brown! And these pics are so inconceivably crisp and beautiful! They officially blow anything since 2002 away. -Ikk -

Thankee! =D The Bionicle Brain song is really a piece of crap, to be honest. But the Techno Mix is surprisingly sweet! Better than most of the currect Bionicle songs, even. ^_^ -Ikk -

Also, don't even think about publishing the entire book on the internet. Making it freely available for anyone to read would only serve to damage the already fragilely low book sales - which, in the end, would mean cancellation of the entire book series. Not good. Not good. -Ikk -

You're right, it's not there. Probably was a chapter of Gali and Tahu making out which they had to censor. -Ikk -
Bionicle Golden Kanoka

Right now, I am mainly interested in your bids -- I believe the one on eBay went for $500 exactly, but given the difference in market and time, I have no idea what price to set it at. So, bid an' offer away! -Ikk -

Somehow, everything looks cooler in black and white. Bionicle should try out some entire comics without color... specially since Arres Scrotum Ulises Arreola sucks. =P Oh, and shameless advertising. -Ikk -
Additional images Good day there! Watching my last year of high school dwindle away and having quite a few ideas for endeavours after next summer, I have decided to do two things: Contribute to the collections of fellow BIONICLE fans, and make some raw moolah. This topic aims to do both at once. So, keeping in mind there is a minority of Bionicle enthusiasts on this great site, I am interested in knowing -- how much would any of you be interested in buying this rare BIONICLE gem for? It is one out of approximately 500 ever made Golden Kanoka Disks -- made in 2004 and randomly packaged in Toa Metru canister sets as part of contest; later handed out to the winners of LEGO Store speed-building contests. It is sterling silver plated with gold, and has only been auctioned on eBay once, selling for several hundreds of bucks then. Comes with a neat little black box. Fits perfectly in the launcher arm of a Slizer, Tohunga, or Metru Nuian disk launcher. Collectors will know to handle it with more care than that, though. So, anxious to hear your responses! -Ikk

Anyway, got this back from Greg -- Hi Reya, He's metallic, not rock or purely organic, same way the Toa are. Yes, I still use Reya's accountt. And this really, really... ... sucks. -Ikk -

Wrink, once Mata Nui's nature is fully revealed, you need to do this: Get Greg to publish the description of Mata Nui from the original story bible that he always talks about. He would do it for ya, man! -Ikk -

Anyone else think Gallagher just assumed Mata Nui was biomechanical since everyone else in Bionicle is? Because the MNOG miners found the *organic* surface of Mata Nui's face beneath the island -- and the CGI version looks more like organic protorock than anything else. -Ikk
