I seriously became hungry after reading about the Thornak stew. How weird this is... And sounds like Mata Nui will wear the Ignika and shape himself like a Toa! Now who does THAT sound like. -Ikk -

Great time for BZP to crash, too. >_> Admittedly, he did give out a lot of TFB spoilers... I doubt everything he posted was revealed by Greg at the signing. -Ikk -

http://www.amazon.com/Final-Battle-Bionicl...8084&sr=8-1 Amazon is great. First it shows Mata Nui being the universe, then it reveals how 2008 ends + Makuta's victory. XD -Ikk -

http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?sho...t&p=5999814 Okay, Greg just saved the year from being anticlimatic. Kudos for that! *Love* the idea of fruit launchers -- I always used the Zamor as fruits of all kinds, having the Matoran launch melons and whatnot unto Rahkshi. This is so much more win! And WANT MATA NUI PIC -Ikk -

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009

A yay from my wallet for the sets being mediocre. And a huge yay from me for a wide array of colored crystals. The Rock Raiders team will appreciate this! -Ikk -

I'm not worried about the MU specifically, since we already know that it is MN. I was referring to core mysteries and plot twists in that style, which is probably the best thing about Bionicle, IMO. -Ikk -

Thank you so much, Greg. I sure hope that does not include plot twists such as MN=MU, the Plan, Red Star, etc... -Ikk -
It is obviously the Church of Pastafarianism! Whatever religion it is dedicated to, it looks neat -- the green looks a bit off, but the front and entrance are very well built, especially the holes and openings, and the lamp is a very fitting touch. The tower and its blue inhabitant of course take the prize, though! -Ikk

Or the Secret of the Stars could be the Paradise that Mata Nui came from, and that he is returning to... I REALLY hope we get to see the Ignika's flight throughout space! -Ikk -

Whoa, easy on the anger XD When did I ever say Greg was my favorite writer? I've had issues with him since 2006. He makes alot of brilliant stories, but he also makes a lot of excruciatingly bad moves. Making this year more exciting could have been done with the blink of an eye. -Ikk -

Bit of a good point Let me explain. A story needs suspense, and there is one way to create that: by putting the lives of the characters in danger. If you know that they may fail and die, you wait anxiously to find out their fate. Though you expect them to win, you never know who is gonna get killed along the way, and that's what keeps you hooked. Once you have declared all main good guys out of the danger zone, you lose that feeling of excitement. You know that no matter what happens, the heroes will come out safe and clean, and that no sacrifice will ever cost them much. The only thing that saved this year was the Reign of Darkness and the demise the Makuta, but even so, we knew that wouldn't be all too bad for our heroes. 'cause their fate had already been revealed. No other story twist, no secrets revealed prematurely, will ever remove the suspense from a story in the same way. Think about it -- we learned three things ahead of time this year: -- That Mata Nui was the universe and that he would awaken -- That Mata Nui's spirit would wind up in a new body in a new universe (or so it seemed most likely to happen) -- That Ignika would sacrifice itself However, none of that has any bearing on the core story -- the quest of the Nuva. How will they awaken Mata Nui? What lengths will they have to go in order to do so? What about Takanuva's destiny? Will any of the heroes make it out of Karda Nui alive, and in time? What about the Matoran? And so on. 2007's early announcement that Mata Nui would die was not so bad as this, because it still managed to create the suspense of how the Toa would handle that. Fact remains, though, that Matoro's death would have been far more of a shocker if we hadn't known what would happen to Mata Nui and when. This year, even though The Makuta's victory hung like a silent promise, we knew the Nuva would not be harmed by it. We also knew that Takanuva would survive, and Ignika was not a character we had much acquaintance with. Nor were any of the Matoran. So no matter how many storyline secrets are spoiled early on in a year, only the revelation of the main characters' fates will truly ruin the story. That simply kills a story. We could have known about Horcruxes and Hallows before the first Harry Potter book ever was released, and we would have STILL waited with ever fiber of our being to find out what would actually happen to Harry and the gang. Greg took away all excitement about Bionicle just as we were headed for the grand conclusion. THAT, IMO, conclusively marks him a bad writer. -Ikk -

That tidbit completely ruined 2007 and all the suspense built up. Just like Greg did AGAIN this year when he said "Rest assured, no Nuva will die!" Really, come on. That's like telling us who survives at the end of Deathly Hallows or some stuff. -Ikk -
