The Lone Ranger is a licensed theme, so it's here. The only exceptions of Licensed themes not in this forum are LOTR/Hobbit and POTC. These were not because the Licensed Forum was busy but because at the time they replaced themes from the other forums and if they were not put there those forums would have no new sets to play around with. There was a lot of staff discussion about this and the decision was not made lightly. But the decision has been made. The "western fans" (which a lot of us from all over EB count themselves as) can hang out wherever they want to. It's not like we built an impassable fence between forums. Cronk confer with friends. Cronk hates to un-narrow suspect pool but Cronk thinks argument with Madric about trial could have caused an altercation between siblings or an accident. Friends have only Helmer's word of friendliness with Mandric. Alexis, earlier Alexis said that Alexis visited Jorke last night. What happened there? Can Alexis confirm Jorke's alibi? If Najdelena was in bed, how could novice be with Ansar last night? Something else Cronk just thought of. Mandric was pretty drunk last night. Could Mandric have tripped and killed self? Or could he have known about trial and tried to take own life? Cronk will ask chef some questions: Does chef think Ansar could have killed Mandric? Were Helmer and Mandric friendly towards each other? Did chef hear anything about misconduct concerning Mandric? DId Mandric always act properly with novices? How close were Mandrea and Mandric?

That is interesting. It is possible that Mandrea was in state of denial. Priestess claims to not have told Mandric about trial. Why not? If it were Cronk's brother, Cronk would have warned brother immediately. It would sadden Cronk greatly if accidental death came from siblings arguing. Perhaps it would also be a good idea to ask around to see if anyone besides priestess had heard of impending trial. Priestess thought not but this is small place. Rumors and gossip travel swiftly in such places.

I love the Minstrel class as well and think Cronk would be hilarious as one. Unfortunately, I don't think there's logically any way to get Cronk there story-wise. If I ever get to start my second character, I think I'll plan for them to be one.

Cronk think friends should read priestess' response. Mandric being brought up n charges would be huge embarrassment for priestess. If struggle that resulted in Mandric's death was accidental, priestess arguing with brother should not be ruled out. Cronk would feel better if friends knew what charges against Mandric were. It is possible that whatever Mandric was accused of happened here. Mandric seemed like friendly man but Mandric did like to drink.

Well that changes things. Friends need to know what Mandric did to warrant such harsh action. Then friends may know which residents here might hold grudge against Mandric. Party should also ask priestess who else has read letter or might have geussed letter's contents. Should friends also ask to read Priestess' reply? Might give insight on how priestess would deal with own bother.

Cronk does not know. If it was accident or self-defense, Cronk thinks a novice might be a suspect but Cronk does not think novices would seek to kill Mandric. If killing was not accident, Ansar seems like another likely suspect. But friends, Cronk has feeling party has missed something. It seems like strange coincidence that friends deliver important message that Priestess is upset about and same night Priestess' brother is killed. As much as Priestess was insistent that friends not know what message said, Cronk thinks that party cannot know full truth until content of letter is known. The question is then, should friends press Priestess to reveal content or try to read letter without Priestess' knowledge? Cronk is uncomfortable sneaking around and would prefer to get permission from Priestess but Cronk is willing to hear what friends think.
