  3. Oh! Great! Love it! Looks like you've been inspired by RoboCop?
  4. What's the point of having power if you don't abuse it?
  5. Ocean's Eleven?
  6. Thanks to DLuders it is known in the Technic forum: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52014
  7. The tin foil-hat theory is that TLG gave him complete 10219 sets for this raffle and he keeps the trains to himself.
  8. Neat! Might try my hands on one myself, if I remember it in December.
  9. Who could have guessed when I bought four copies of 8457 for less then half price back in 2002. A used 8457 has a part out value of some US $250: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPOV.asp?itemType=S&itemNo=8457&itemSeq=1&itemQty=1&breakType=M&itemCondition=U&incInstr=Y (and sorry, I don't sell my bricks) But speaking of silly, I found out what some of the old Star Wars figs I have lying around somewhere is worth: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?M=sw038 Despite what I said above I'm considering selling that guy before the new version hits the market...
  10. I've quite recently seen some S1 bags in small-cities stores in Sweden...
  11. I totally agree! Just wanted to make a couple of suggestions to help the fun before it gets stuck. An 8 x 8 rule does not help the fun in any way, but it somewhat encourages brick challenged builders (who don't want to use LDD). Also it helps take the blunt of spending a lot of time on a large scene that someone cracks in seconds... Personally I embrace the challenge with a constricted size, but it does not need to be a rule. This concept is a lot of fun, I think! :) I really liked your Stand By Me-entry by the way!
  12. I recognized the tune instantly but had no idea where it came from. I was born in June 1978 so despite actually breathing for at least half of the year I might have missed a cultural event or two.
  13. I'm going to get my LEGO room in order and would love to see more photos of workplaces to draw ideas from.
  14. Looks like they at least made a new model and a new part in the first one: Also note that the pin in the angle connector is not in snap.
  15. We've been doing this on Swebrick.se since November - it also begun with 2001. It's a lot of fun! Some suggestions to the rules to keep the thread going: If the one who gave the correct answer does not post a new scene within three days anyone can post a new scene. One point is withdrawn from the person who neglected to post a new scene. If the one who posts a scene does not give an answer whether the guesses are right/wrong within three days anyone can post a new scene. One point is withdrawn from the person who neglected to correct the guesses. Also, keeping the score in the posts will very fast get problematic since the list will grow very big.
  16. Leave it to the Swedes to put their largest Naval fiasco into a museum. http://www.vasamuseet.se/en/ Quote from the movie Elizabethtown: "There's a diffrence between a failure and a fiasco. A failure is merely the absence of success. Any fool can achieve failure. But a fiasco, a fiasco is a disaster of epic propotions. A fiasco is a folk tale told to other's to make other people feel more alive because it didn't happen to them."
  17. Wohaa! Great work getting the stripes all around! Looks super!
  18. Why stop there? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=50450
  19. War of the Worlds, The Musical!?!? Lovely!
  20. Neat little MOC! Had not seen it before. (apparently my collection is insane)
  21. It's not an compression spring, but yeah. :) This link would be better: http://www.leespring.com/extension_spec.asp?springType=E&forWhat=Search Kinda hard to tell the dimensions when the spring is missing, but perhaps some Eurobricker can do the measurements? I don't own that part otherwise I could help you my self.
