  1. I'm curious to find out what would happen if Lego decided to re-release this as a Legend or if they decided to do an updated version utilizing new pieces and techniques.
  2. Just recall when Brickshelf was going to be taken down a few years back when this program was created. It caused so much traffic as people were backing up like crazy which exacerbated the problem even further. I recall he posted at the time that he would ban IPs using the program. So use at your own peril.
  3. My guess is that she doesn't want to be your girlfriend any longer. There could be a reason why she has you handing her a big rock. Or am I just reading too much into it?
  4. I didn't like that hair and that minifig head each on their own, but the combination of the two oddly enough, works for me. Good choice!
  5. The sub-title on this thread will eventually be, "Which minifig is going to be the most expensive on BrickLink?" Of course, the real answer is, "all of them" Gotta get em' all! Actually perhaps a different poll with a slight twist would be, "Which special collectible minifig would you put on your Lego business card, if you worked for Lego?" This question may reflect one's personality better. Similar to choosing an avatar.
  6. Packaging? You get packaging? Last time I bought them through S@H they came loose without packaging. I thought that was a bit strange but left it that as they were in excellent condition. I was just happy to get a bunch.
  7. I take it that you've approached Royal Caribbean International, who is the parent company of Celebrity Cruise which is the line the ship is modeled from? Although, they may not want to set a precedent of purchasing uncommissioned artwork. However, I agree, bigger pictures!
  8. Off topic and playing devils advocate. Can you give a Lego example when this has actually happened?
  9. Well... this particular end user of Titan XP was still thinking about females! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=101954
  10. You forgot to add [cue pinky finger to lip] after the word "evil" From what I recall reading, it's not necessarily Lego's stance on violence or else we wouldn't have the Dino Attack line at all and we would all have Dino 2010. They test marketed the Dinos in Germany which is a huge market in Europe for bricks. The parents did not want weapons, so to appease that segment of the market [ie. the ones who purchase the sets for their kids] they changed the weaponry to cages. Of course, as mentioned, this is all from recall, I can't pull a source on this, so I could be wrong.
  11. I realize that you're probably trying to stimulate conversation but why don't you just check out the inventory and decide for yourself? http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/4496-2 Having said that, yes, they are ordinary, but they are the basic building blocks in the basic colours. Currently, I'm doing a sculpture based of some of the stuff I've seen on Brickshelf and as I look for the pieces I need, I find that this tub has a good brick assortment. What I mean by that is, not as much 1x1 and 1x2 brick and much more of the 2x4 brick (others I've bought only had two in each colour). So it really depends on what you plan to do with your bricks.
  12. The Grand Titan alternate kinda looks like the old Bionicle Bohrak.
  13. I haven't read HP Goblet of Fire yet, so could someone clue me in on why there is a black skeleton with a green skeleton torso and arms? I know that the Lego HP Dementors used these pieces, but uncertain why the second black skeleton does.
  14. Heck, how about the fact that it doesn't have a rear gunner, but a tricycle on the back. A big helo like that to carry a red tricycle. And a net. Oh the humanity.
  15. Perhaps you should refer to the alternate thread as the TTAWY thread, as the word you refer to is actually quite vulgar. But if no one's caught on in nine pages..... ;)
  16. deleted post ETA: reread thread and now my post doesn't make sense
  17. What a coincidence, I just opened up this set with my nephew yesterday. I'll probably have to go find one of those little buggys now. My nephew had problems with the instructions not realizing the top technic pin with half stud on the stretcher elevator was a different connector than the bottom one. I'm also not too crazy on how the helicopter pilot sits in this set. We'll have to fix that. The World City 7044 Rescue Helicopter dwarfs this set though. It's almost as big as the entire HQ.
  18. I know that they don't fit into the other categories that Eurobricks forums have set, but how are the Designer sets "non-system"? That's a travesty, as they are very much largely brick based which is the "system". I propose making another forum for Designer sets and Technic sets.
