  1. "You're welcome! I always prefered swords anyway. Much more intimate."
  2. I just asked this in the thread of Quest #7, but to be sure, I'll also ask it here: If I attack from the back row and roll shield, will the amount of gold I recieve also be halved?
  3. Is there any known case of somebody in this town ever being attacked by a knife before? What about that tourist at the docks? What happened to him, anyway? Really? This town is insane.
  4. I'd like to know what I see when I look out of the window and check if there is anything behind the clock. Just in case there's another safe.
  5. "Well done, Thotwick! Glad to see the time in jail hasn't got you out of practice. And it's great to have a weapon you don't have to retrive every time. I'd like to attack Secondary Guard A again, this time from the back row. No need to take a risk." OOC: In case I roll a shield and I'm in back row, will the amount of gold I get also be halfed? And in case the Veteran or one of the Secondary Guards does a Special Damage and I'm attacked while being in back row, will I still recieve one damage?
  6. What did they do with the ringmaster's whip? I must have forgotten. When I feel, I'm also very careful not to damage the content, of course. I own a Samurai whose armor is slightly bent, therefore showing a white line on it, I hope you understand what I mean. Anyway, it would be inresponsible to damage the parts while feeling. You're right, I'll have to be extra-careful while feeling series 7 figs.
  7. I'd like to examine the little statue and read on in my magazine, when finsihed.
  8. I still have the bill I found at the docks. But maybe Sarah should check them, she should know more about bills and serial numbers. Or we don't check it at all. I've got a feeling the host's trying to tell me subtly that the bills are of no importance.
  9. Hang on a second, there are several hundret dollars In hundret dollar bills you haven't brought to the bank yet? And you buy your groceries just with hundret dollar bills? And how do you get that many of them anyway, you're running a pet shop, shouldn't people pay with smaller bills? Can I go back and check the serial numbers? If yes, I'd like to do so and join the group again afterwards. I'd like to pocket the piece of the photograph until we find further ones.
  10. I'd like to try and put the ripped photograph together.
  11. You're just some whacky old man. There's no way you could beat up a policeman, is there? But honestly, we shouldn't stop suspecting Alex Jordan just because he's dead. It's well possible he was involved in the Chief's death and was now shot down by accident. Disregarding him as suspect could mean disregarding an elemental clue. Same thing about Jackson: Just because he was shot down, doesn't mean he wasn't the brown-haired person. It would explain why someone wanted him dead so badly they took a hostage, if he was related to the chief's murder in any way. Also, who says you aren't being suspected? Oh, and I'd like to examine the lamp in the corner.
  12. Interesting reveal. I'd like to hear about that from James. It's not quite a motive for revenge many years later, but it can prove useful information. You could have known your fatal mistake certainly wouldn't support your carrier. And come on, there are several ways you could find out about that lawsuit. For instance you could find that note by luck while doing whatever you policemen do the whole day. Or Branhouser might have told you for some reason. Or he might have told someone who'd tell you. Maybe he's told you when he called you while he was drunk. And it's not simply having an affair, but also being dropped by him after aforesaid affair as well.
  13. Well, I say it's not, just for the very reason I stated above. I'm not sure about Jackson, but the two people who killed McGovern might just have done so because he tried to arrest them. We should therefore wonder who could be involved in criminal affairs so that the chief tried to arrest them.
  14. Wait a minute, I'm still about to read the magazines, and you've already searched this room as well. Alright, I'll run over the pages of the TV Guide and take the Home&Garden magazine with me to read it more carefully. Since I've got a garden myself, there should be some useful advice in it. You're such a drama queen, Dad. Well, we can try and pile up everything we've found so far, of course. But we shouldn't stop searching houses while doing so. But we'll have to both find clues and make some sence out of them, I think. And I can't believe none of you has asked Jack about the money. I'd like to ask Jack, why he's sacing that much money in his safe, how long he's been saving, how much he's usually saving per month, and how much he nets with that pet store. Oh, and I'd like Sarah and Chief Scott to take a look at the money, just to make sure it isn't counterfeit or something. And Dad, why do you rely that much on the police? One of their officers spends a lot of time entertaining us, another one is in hospital and IÄm still suspicious of the Deputy herself. Don't be such a wuss!
  15. "That's exactly my opinion, Eric! Finally some slaughtering. All this riddles give me headaches. Now, time to test this sword! I'll attack Secondary Guard A from the front row."
  16. Suburbian houses don't seem to be very solid. Remember me not to buy any real estates there.
  17. Way to go! As I said before, never lose your hope! While the safe is being opened by someone else, I'd like to play "Jeremy's Mix" Although I'm sure I'll regret this. There can be no hope he'll fancy some good music. And then I'd like to go on reading the magazines, which I couldn't do because I was busy finding a hidden safe.
  18. Oh, and I'll have a look at those magazines. I'll search for any notes someone might have written inside them and for any articles of interest.
  19. So it happens most of the room is already searched. Well then, I'll look if there's a cassette or something inside the boombox and if there's a secret cubicle or something behind the picture of Jeremy. Not much hope there, though.
  20. Feel free to tell me if I'm not doing enough roleplay. I'm trying to improve mine, and I'd be happy about constructive criticism, really.
  21. The apple is no good comparision, as it's meant to be hygienic. Unless anyone wants to eat the minifigure and the bag alike, which I really hope nobody'll try, those are completely different goods. And yes, I'd feel a product if I'm not convinced by it's quality or if it's really what I want, and if feeling might help answering these questions, without damaging or unsanitizing the product, I'd most certainly do so. Or not buy it. And honestly, isn't the problem of certain people not getting what they want the same with every product of a limited availability on the free market? First come, first served. And on the other hand, where's the difference if an army builder is unhappy because he's got only few Romans for a horrid amount of money while a kid whose interest in LEGO will propably fade during the next few years gets it's Roman? (I'm aware I'm being highly unsocial right now, of course it's not my opinion that army builders are more important than children, I'm just giving a drastic example from a different point of view.) I myself am no army builder, and neither am I collecting the series, I'm merely picking the ones I need, and I don't want to end up with a lot of fitness trainers and boxers after buying these figs. As a customer, I want to know what I'm buying. Also, to me it's part of the fun to feel them in order to get the right one. And feeling the bag isn't too accurate, IMO. I use to feel things I have no idea what they could be all the time, which most often leads me to give up and feel the next one. But I can't stop wondering what they might contain.
  22. Right. I noticed, and I assume I should have checked this before actually posting there. Well, anyway. There have to be more posts of you than of any player, as you're the one giving the investigation results. Just saying. And you'll always have people who don't post certain days or at all. That's the same in mafia games, Heroica, practically everywhere. Of course it's annoying for the host and the more or less active players alike, but you can't change it. As Flitwick has pointed out, their participation wasn't any better. I can't say much about this, but maybe you should address them by this point, not us. I've also experienced that it's sometimes hard to actually investigate, as others might have done all the investigation stuff already. So what's left is roleplay, which is also fun, but the problem is, if nothing happens, there isn't much your character can roleplay about either. Though I enjoy playing Amber, I really do. That's pretty hard actually. This is a point which I feel definitely addressed by. But the problem is, if one goes out beating people down, setting fire, breaking windows and so on you clearly become suspect. On the other hand, I've already yielded something using a miscallenous action, so it would feel like a waste to blow up someone's mailbox when you could actually do something useful. Because we don't know where we'll find evidence. And we continued finding out things in the police station, so there was no reason to leave. Then we looked at the houses of people who were related to the crime. We can't do much more but investigating faster. On the other hand, it's already a problem that all the investigations are done by the first few people, leaving the rest jobless. So, you got your feedback. Please keep in mind I'm really not trying to argue, as I think you have a point about what you say, and that I'm aware these things are especially aggravating for you, as you're hosting the game.
  23. "A Survey Helps Cronk?" Henry guesses, hoping for the best.
  24. Alright, the foyer it is. And I'm glad to see you back, Marcus. You really seem to draw bats like moths to the flame.
  25. Okay, after James has checked the boxes, let's head to the warehouse.
