OOC: Actually, he also is a scientist. He creates a fear poison, he was running experiments on students in BTAS, and actually, psychology is science. It's just studying the psyche instead of something else. And don't you dare to point out flaws of my interpretation! IC: Edward is very well psychotic. I think he has the delusional idea that life was a game which he has to win, while life, in fact, is no game. That's why he keeps giving Batman riddles, as he tries to make his game more interesting. And that's why he talks about cheating. And of course this deluion is based on fear, as everything. He's afraid of losing at life, of losing life itself, so he makes life be just a game, as if you lose a game, you can try again. I can read your souls like an open book. What's with you and being manly? You keep talking about that. Oh, I scent a latent homosexuality. Do you wish to tell me more about it? I'm a good listener, you know. And this is no diary, it's a journal. If the bat wins again, I will be able to recapitulate where I went wrong and do better next time. And if I get some results, I will be able to publish a paper about constructed parasocieties, fear and of course my triumph over the bat. Don't listen to him, Harv'. He's just some nutter trying to act like me. Did I say "trying"? I meant "failing", of course.

Is there anyone in here who's not reading my journal? First Two-Face, then my doppelganger... Anyone else who wants to have a look?

Yes, this place will be far more bearable when everyone stops killing themselves. Although I don't think Croc will be immune against my toxin either. Whatever he is, it also works on reptiles, I've tested it lately. I'm curious what how his body will respond to it, though. But be assured I won't do anything hasty, Penguin. I wouldn't dare to upset you.

After visiting Heroica Hall, Henry saunters over the market place. Finally, he decides selling his old sword, since the rapier he owns is much better anyway. So, now he owns 230 gold + 15 gold = 245 gold. After that, he walks to Portia's shack, buying a fire bomb, a potion and some smelling salts, now having 245-20-10-5=210 gold. The he heads for Gnomeo, buying a telescope, now having 210-40=170 gold. Then he goes to Anwyl Smokebeard, where he upgrades his Rapier by two levels, now being WP: 9, and therefore spending all the money he got at the Arena Quest, and actually even more: 170-80-90=0 Satisfied he returnes to the Hall.

While some people are suggesting general rules about races, or weapons strong against races, I don't like that idea. I think it's okay if it's done in certain quests by the QM, but not in the whole game, as a nice aspect of the game is the fact the QMs have much freedom designing their quests, so that we get along with few general rules, but some rules and mechanics special to quests. I think it would confuse QM if we introduce more rules about races, and honestly, polyjuice for people changing races!? Just imagine Cronk being a human, or Thotwick being an Elf, or Boomer being an Orc! Sorry, but I really think that'd go a bit too far. While I'm usually all in favor of overly complicated, bewildering or pointless rules concering every part of real life, I don't think we should make them up in Heroica.

Well, Zepher, I liked your quest a lot, but I am glad I wasn't one of those who were captured for most of the quest. I can imagine that spoils the fun. The fights of single heroes against an enemy, of heroes against each other and heroes vs. NPC vs. NPC were a great touch, though. And concerning the loot, I must say the amount of it was fair, matter is, some of the other quests' aren't IMO. I prefer quests not to produce loads of gems, elemental weapons and items, such as yours did. The story was great, and the NPCs were also written well, especially Wren, of course. I also liked the battle description. But the breaks between the rounds of the Arena fight were a bit long, most likely partially due to the heroes being slow, I suppose, but anyway. Overall, a nice quest, and I'm dying to meet Wren again.

Henry enters the Hall, more than glad to be returned from his quest. He perches himself on the next chair he can find and then receives the gold from Jess, nodding thankfully. "Er, Scheherazade, could I please get a beer? I need a one for reinvigoration before I go on o the market place." A bit later he stands up and walks over to the quest board. "Two out of three quests include the Ziegfrieds? That damn mages have to get involved in everything, haven't they? All right, I'll sign up for quest #13 and #15. Finding some jewel should be tolerable, but I certainly don't want to get too involved in their family matters." He writes his name down and then sits down again, drinking his beer and resting.

Just because I have the better arguments. Yeah, let's stop this imposter talk. I'm sure we can arrange ourselves for the next days.

No serious scientist would refrain from improving his product for years. Right now you don't prove anything but your own dilettantism. And I didn't arrive with an unfinished poison, I came late because I finished it. And of course I don't store large amounts of a highly dangerous toxin for an indefinite time, I just have my contingency supply, but I'm always ready to produce more, if needed.
-
Because I had to prepare my toxin, finish a test I was currently running, grind my scythe and formulate some preliminary remarks for my experiment. Only an imposter such as you would have enough time to hang around here. ()
-
Oh really, mine too. Finally someone who might actually be a tiny bit versed in psychology!...Oh, wait a second, an imposter!
-
Afraid of business competition? If this Heroica serves free drinks, I should maybe go there instead... Are we allowed to drink now for free and pay later if we are proven to be imposters or rather pay not once we're cleared?
-
Didn't see that, I'm sorry, Xarrzan.
-
It's clearly the fear of failing at proper roleplay and the game itself, no doubt about that. Well, if you'll excuse me, I have to work with the formula of my toxin. I want to be prepared for the next time I meet the bat.
-
How the heck did you get 100 gold? I think you made a mistake there...
-
While the other heroes attack Draco, Henry simply continues bleeding unconsciously lying on the floor.
-
How witty. I think I'm going to laugh once I've got time. For now, I have to continue writing notes on the progress of my plan.
-
I'm sorry, but don't despair. I don't think a plus of experience is what the hosts will go on, that way all the games would be full of all-stars and no newbie would ever get a chance. Talking about it, I know a way to improve your chances of success by about 50%: Stop flipping the coin and think. And there's absolutely no problem with transporting my fear gas, I've got a spraying device right at my wrist. Want to taste some?
-
That's no diary, it's a notebook. And the bat might have managed to defeat me a few times, but I've developed my toxin further over the times, I've created improved ways to spray it more effectively, and I've learned from my mistakes, while you're only flipping the same coin as ever.
-
Uh, you're right. Okay, that won't work.
-
Yeah, I think that's the best course of action anent the Spirit Guard. Sounds quite fair to me.
-
Oh, great, we're fighting an almost-boss and I'm KO after round one. Anyway, good luck, team! You must avenge my death KO!

- Your chosen character Scarecrow: I'm really sorry, Scorpiox, but I think some characters will have to get multiple applies anyway due to the limited amount of characters. Yet I'm sincerely sorry to rival you for the place in the game. - Your availability during the coming few weeks I'll be fully available. - Your previous Mafia game history I've played in 6 games so far, as you can see at my profile. I played Eurodina, Bloodbricks, Werewolf, Belville, Baritones 3 and Bloodbricks 2. I played town and was killed at night every time. - Your existing interest in the Batman universe Batman is the only Superhero I'm really interested in, most likely because he hasn't got any fancy super powers. I've been watching the two Nolan movies, the 1989 movie, so far 16 episodes of the 60s show, but the number's growing every day as I'm still watching it, I've watched quite a lot of BTAS, and played the Arkham Asylum game, and I'm yet waiting for AC to be released for PC. As I said before, I'd like to play Scarecrow. I think he's the most interesting villain in the Batman universe, and I can't say there was any interpretation I watched which I ever disliked. Yet I'll base my roleplay a bit on the AA version, who IMO seemed like a self-centered,cynical person, believing himself to be a great scientist with a liability to dramatic appearance. Therefore, I'll try to constantly make notes for a possible publication, in a pseudo-scientific way, additionally to what Scarecrow actually says. Am I confusing people now ? Anyway, here we go: Auditition: Wow, that's a long one. I promise to keep them short if I'm chosen. Also, feel free to tell me if that isn't what you had in mind for Scarecrow.

I'd like to know if there's anything unusual about the medicine.
