Eurobricks Mafia Nights: Players only
Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
He said he was "appealing to my senses", not pleaing. Then he said something about me voting for Hinck since I also saw his scuminess when I had explained my logic earlier (it was based on him being "off") and concluded by confirming he was in fact trying to save his megablocks. Not much ..... Read and re-read the rules, you're right! Here: (I could not figure out how to quote a PM; there is no option below his message) -

Besides that I had "voted for him (Hinck) before and should switch it back because he is scummy" ... no He did add a very important thing though ... "Hinck is Mafia" -

How many people did Flare contact to entice to vote for Hinck? He sent me a PM with less than 30 mins to go in the day and asked me to re-vote for Hinck. -

Then why post the pieces in public? By posting your piece you also helped (potentialy, as you seem to insinuate) the scum to solve it! My mother tongue is French and I thought I could be of assistance to others by helping to translate what was said. The goal was to solve the puzzle, at the time I posted my "clues" it did not occur to me to google it. The odds of a townie solving the puzzle is much greater than the odds of a scum having done so. Why the same question? Why not? so far we had a night zero, a blackjack game, we all bare our own names, had a say in our avatars ... why not, this is no ordinary game!! The "Qu'est-ce que" part could also very well have been a follow up question as well. I posted my findings to help town; I'm no scum! I said it before and will say it again; I did not solve the puzzle; if I had I would have no problem telling you. At the time, I had no idea I was close to figuring it out. I am clever!!!!! But no as I have now said 4 times, I did not solve the puzzle before hand! Agreed I voted for you as I was out of ideas; your behaviour seems really out of wack to me. Whom else should I vote for? Oh! I know!!!! Seeing that this person seems pretty adament I solved the puzzle, even though I did not and made it clear and aludes to the fact my helping town was a scummy move, I shall: Unvote: Hincley Vote: TinyPiesRUs -

How do you confuse Darth and me? It's not like we look alike, our names are not remotely similar and we clearly don;t express similar thoughts!!!! Anyways, I missed most of the day and have been playing catch-up for the last few hours; I'm freaking mentally exhausted!!!! Looking at the thread, there is (for me) no reason to vote for any one particular person; eneryone is on the defensice, everyone is acting ackward ... Gosh I hate day one!!!! I would honestly be content with holding my vote but since I don't want to be penalized, I will Vote: Hinckley (Hinckley); purely to balance the vote (6 to 4) I really don't understand his game this time around but yet it does not seem all that scummy to me; bizarre? yes, scummy? meh! From what I gather another 8 person or so have yet to vote .... make yoursleves heard!!!! -

Ah! Yes! See my earlier justification! As Jim said, I suggested Flare amongst others; my name could also have been on that list (as Darth, Trumpet, Adam, etc); the list was suggestions and not a set list; it was meant as examples. -

I'M BAAAAAAACK! You can't read can you? or you simply breeze over the topic and cross read everything! I explicitely said I was stepping out for 48 hours ... guess what it's been 46 hours and as stated I'm back!!! What questions are you referring to? the only person who addressed me directly since Friday was Darthpotato (see below). Please quote any questions addressed to me directly and it wil lbe my pleasure to answer them. I read the whole thread from the moment I left and for the life of me cannot find what you are referring to (I think Scouty quoted me at one point and so did Calllmepie but I don't think they asked me a question)!!! @ Darthpotato; I think you asked about why I googled the answer after posting my "clues"; it's quite simple, I initially thought the question itself was written in french and english seeing that "what" and "Qu'est-ce que" mans the same thing. I then thought to google it for the hell of it about 15 minutes later and BAM! the answer was right there; trust me when Def told me it was too late I was PIIIIIIIISSSSSED!!! Hope this satisfies you!!! AH my bad! I re-read this last page and Dathpotato asked me about my idea to vote for a lurker; here it is, the aim was rather to not elect a prominent member such as Shadows or Hinck. I did in fact suggest a few names bu did not say "vote for player X". I thought that having a lesser known player be elected could eliminate favoritism in cases where another lesser-know player would be up for a lynch against Shadows, Hinck, Big Cam, Jimbutvher, etc. Whom was it that asked about my "solving te puzzle" then? the above posted answer is still valid reagardless. -

Last minutes plans have come up; I have to excuse myself for about 48 hours. I am going to a cottage with limited/no internet access; I will definitely be back to vote and be back before Sunday (Eastern time). I apologize for my absence; -
Eurobricks Mafia Day One: Let the metagaming begin!
Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
This is very plausible, the more momentum they gain, the more they can recruit .... could be, could very well be! I agree with this, if at all possible we should try and out the recruiters so as to eliminate the possibility of them inflating the ranks of the scum team before it's too late; we have to act quickly and explore every suspicion early. I'm curious to see if we kill a scum, will their affiliation within the scum team be revealed? Will we find out if the person is a killer or a recruiter? -

I suggested this: However why he picked Flare .... I can;t say ... random guess? Interesting ... still it was said they could recruit quicker than usual; I am expecting more than 1 conversion per night! --- A lot of people seem convinced there is a psycho rather than an SK ... Why? What brings you to believe the killer is a psycho and not an SK? do we have tangible evidence of this? -
Eurobricks Mafia Day One: Let the metagaming begin!
Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wouldn't 3 recruiters to start with be a bit heavy handed? I aggre with the 3 killers but as far as recruiters, I would be more enclined to think 2 or even one to start with. If the recruiters are able to recruit at a "higher rate than usual", it would take no time to have 12 recruiters and no town; I say 2 recruiters which can each recruit 1 person per night. -

I should have know you did! Ping, indeed! Nightshroud, what did you mean by "MO"? LOL, I'm not sure how to do this .... the setting here is .... unusual ... meta is encouraged, people have their own names .... this will be fun! This puzzles me; my thoughts are that anyone that is not scum can be converted however this could also mean that a certain amount of us can be converted which brings the question: What happens if a non-convertable (convertible?) person is targetted? IT'S A DANCE PARTY!!!! Womp! Womp! YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA -
Eurobricks Mafia Day One: Let the metagaming begin!
Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It was also said that this game would be unusual, so all bets are off; we can speculate as much as we want but the reality is that we cannot know for a fact what God has planned for us; only time will tell ... hopefully sooner than later! Fuc**ed up beyond any recognition -

Yes, yes, this is a giant conspiracy! If you don't feel comfortable with Flare being mayor, encourage others to vote for you! No I wasn't but now I do, I read your most recent post after writting mine and now get that you meant the opposite!!!!!; I was off! Still at this point both theories are valid; we have nothing to go on so all theories are plausible -

Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
no, it said that scum would get a "unkillable strong man ability on night one"; not a kill. It is still plausible that a townie got the immunity. Which is good! - - - I tend to agree with Jim and Hinck that Cecilie was killed by SK or vig and that Catpain redblade was a scum kill. Oh and since I proposed it: Mayor: Flare -
Eurobricks Mafia Day One: Let the metagaming begin!
Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Agreed; this will however also be most common thought, everyone will only trust themselves and this is why Day one is always ackward. It was specified that the role's only purpose is to break up a tie vote; I don't see a problem with electing lurkers since they are likely to be killed/lynched early; we could then elect a player that has proven to be neutral/analytical. This electing a mayor business wiil prove to be interesting, it will give us another voting pattern to analyze and help us in identifying who's who! -

I saw that the question had french words in it, as soon as I made my findings public, I Googled "1977 Qu'est-ce" and got the answer; I sent it to God ... but what do you know! Someone had beat me to it!!! Now since this is meta-gaming-fetivus, there were 3-4 people looking at the thread at that time, I unfortunately only remember one for sure; Hinck. But there may have also been Badboy and Cecile, I unfortunately cannot recall for sure whom else was reading the thread. On to the mayor business; I propose that we elect someone which is not one of our usual town leaders (Hinck, Shadows, Etc.. we all know who they are) and instead opt to elect a player like Alopex, Flare, Darthpotatoe or someone of the likes. Thoughts? Addendum: meta-gaming-festivus -
Eurobricks Mafia: Night Zero (Confirmation thread)
Piratedave84 replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sorry I'm late to the puzzle party, you know .. sleep and all (before someone says it: I know "there's no sleep during mafia"!!! ) Here's what I got I recycled Scouty's image and added my piece (in the top left corner) and it says something like "what 1977 hit" http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/piratedave84/Randoms/euro.jpg The other sections are still jiberish; it appears to me we are still missing around 5-6 pieces. Analysing it some more, I posit that there is a section written in french; the "- ce" section and what looks like "qu'e" leads me to think one sentence reads "quest-ce que". Apostrophes and hyphens are super-common in french and I am 99% sure one section is in french! Oh and "quest-ce que" means "what is" or "what are" -

When I first saw the topic, and saw that Hinck was bonked on the head, I thought this was the night zero results and that Hinck was killed; I almost pissed myself! I am gadl to be here and am really looking forward to see how this will all unfold! Someone already asked but I don't think it was answered; is this like a confirmation thread? addendum: gadl = glad -
