@ Conchas: Dryw's factory is indeed one very very special creation. Unfortunately, I don't have more/better video's. But it will be impossible to see the complete workings of the factory in a video. Example: the mechanism for picking up and putting down bricks is inside the vertical sliding tower. You can't see it unless taken fully apart. @ DLuders: No I did not show my MOC's on Brickworls. It was actually the first time I visited LegoWorld. But I'm seriously thinking about doing that next year. And I know Dryw from a LOWLUG-meeting and I spoke with him on LegoWorld. You mean his Mercedes:

This is by far not a complete report, but a nice impression of the biggest Lego-event in the World. There were enough interresting things for Technic-fans.

That would be difficult. I've never done it, so I don't know how this must be done. I was planning to make a parts list with MLCad & LPub. Is there a way to convert an MLCad-file into a BrickStore inventory ?

It certainly looks better than the 8052 and is also quite a bit bigger. But the lifting-mechanism seems a bit clumsy. The video doesn't show that he manualy attaches the container-chains to the lifting-arms whereas the 8047 can completely pick up the container by itself. But the suspension, gearbox and outriggers are really nice.

Thanx Don't expect the parts-lists to be complete tomorrow, but they will come. I will finish my new MOC first (including instructions), cause it uses parts from the 8043. But you might like it as well.

@ TechnicFreak: Are you reffering to the way the dipper is attached to the boom ? I don't have the model here, cause a number of parts were reused for a new MOC (coming soon). Does this picture help ?

Just like his previous models, this is absolutely gorgeous. The ability to switch to manual steering & driving is a very nice toutch. And the amount of work spent on making the instructions must have been trmendous and extremely time-consuming. Very very very good work !!! And OMG, I like this picture soooo much:

I'm thinking of making a list of the required parts. But it requires me to build the original 8043 and then my modified version again, so it will take some time to complete. A number of parts were already used in a new moc, so I'da have to disasseble that as well. So please give me some time...

I agree with Grohl that Steven 1980's version is the prettiest. But ZED's version is the coolest being able to transform.

I definately agree that the original 8043 bucket is way to big. Not just that, but the rotation point is in the wrong place and the bucket doesn't rotate in and out far enough. This causes the original 8043 to be very lousy at digging. That's why I replaced it with the 8294-bucket, which is a bit too small, but operates much better, making a better diggin'machine (cause that's what it is, right ?)

Yes, this model is fantastic !! I've hade the honour of seeing it in action and driving it myself and it's great fun. And that video might just be one of the best I've seen sofar (and I've seen many).

Yes, it would certainly be a big challenge to make such a system work well and look realistic in Lego. The fact that the trailer can extend and/or the lifting arms can be moved foreward/backwards makes it even more difficult. Maybe that's why I've never seen one in Lego yet.

Talking about interresting trailers: I might just make this side-loading trailer once:
