Dude where were you in 2012! These prototypes have couple of neat features. One question tho: Do you know how they got Nex shield piece and 2012 shield on the same arm?

I Just wanted to say that I like it when people give reviews, most times posters point out things I didn't notice. I dont mind if most of us sound similar anyway but lets not kid ourselves: prelim pics ARE release pics. TLC might change a color or two, maybe add a printed shell, even change a piece but what your looking at is the set for next year spring. So I read ALL of them, as for 2014... Well, this is the first time im disappointed and figure out why: I dont like the mechs having those paws, I was expecting weapons. Someone mention the dark colors. Isn't this the darkest wave we ever seen from HF? Alot ppl seem to not like the EVO walker, could end up being the least selling set?? Ppl mention how Furno is a breakout verison Mech. TLC might want to look into that?? Splitter beast actually...splitting with a 108 pieces Mnph idk But I am looking forward to the combiners and summer 2014 improving on the mech design. But the questions I have above just point out things I dislike "take with a grain of salt"

This is pretty exciting Corydoras, I wanted to ask just two more questions: Are they're still using the same HF feet or is it different? Are the blaster the 2012 launchers or different too? I don't want to know any details just to confirm if they change these pieces.

Took a closer look at the feet. Seem they have two pieces lik how the 2004 toa feet were. The paw part has three spaces to snap claws or robot hands too. I'll see these in HF for sure. Corydoras, thanks for the info so far. I have couple of question if you can see it. What do the tools on the hero machines look like?? are they guns or do they have swords and stuff? Can ya tell us what the stealth machine look lik? The hero for that should have a gold color too it?

Couple of interesting things: The Bad guys are cheaper than Heroes, isn't this a first for Hero Factory?? Does the increase in price hint that TLC will take a more creative approach to the good guys Breez might be 15 too but is she gonna b another flyer? I agree Shakar, I like chima bigger look so if everyone is gonna get a fuller design it would be great. Mayb they bring the guns back

It would great if heroes could transform, that secondary function from Nuva and Metru toa was always a kool idea. Also sad to hear sales are low for nex and stringer, but wouldn't they need to return for the second wave of 2014? I mean bulk and surge would have to be...

Leewan, these pieces are amazing!!! I imagine pieces like these back when 2.0 first came out. Happy to see there could be a way to make them. Thanks Font for letting us know about that. I always thought how TLG, pick piece to be made every year. I'll cross my fingers on any new bone and feets pieces. Good Luck guys

I got a list: 1. New hands (one that has a third hole similar to bionicle ones), some claw hands would be nice 2. New feet 3. A new mid-section mold to incorporate a thicker body (More ball joints please) 4. A back armor piece with axle holes or Ball Joints would be the best thing ever 5. More colors for the new heads. It doesn't always have to be transparent. Bring back solid colors

Guess this is fourth one to be release, not as cool as that shield piece posted couple of months ago. I would also like Lego to continue BA line. Mostly for continuity instead of new mission/new everything storyline. Though, I would be happy for a HF line that doesn't have Rocka/Furno/Stormer.

Wow I check out the pictures myself and I'm complete lost at some of you guys wanting this as a set. the Leg alone has enough parts for an over $15 XL Hero. This is confusing since there would be protest for sets being to expensive. Sound like some of you guys what gunpla, which is $20-$100 buildable sets made out of HF parts. Wonder if TLC ever thought of connecting to to a older fanbase like that.

I hope it's all Heroes, going by 1st wave they added villain weapons to the hero's frame. I assume stormer will have bigger sword thanks to ice beast. Evo could have a dual function for swimming, like Nuva had. I guess surge gonna have an awesome backpack to fly with

I checked it out, Its the gray piece used for Breez's weapon. Also the same bottom piece on Aquagon's weapon

This is hands down the best Surge set of HF so far. These guys got me pretty excited for combiners they'll become.

Hold on, can anyone confirm if these are prototypes or Final releases?? Cus its getting confusing what to expect from this line. Only disappointment is in the leg design taken out. Although, this does give me a design for the lesser known characters. I do have to admit, i'm not sure why some of you guys want the Eris to look fem. What would that look like exactly?? Also, didn't know the minifig wings were that big. Great choice on that. Axe pieces are kool too
