    AFOLs meeting

Last weekend, we had a meeting and expo from our Lego comunity 0937 and a journalist mispelled AFOLs in the newspaper, and she clearly didn't knew what it means. So I made a vignette about it... Well it's kind of a private joke, but I think you could enjoyed it too.
  3. Thank's, I'm glad you liked it. The font is "A.C.M.E. secret agent" and it's free, google for it... *sweet*
  4. Thank's for your nice comments. :'-) This would be cool if I figured out a way for the monkey to balance without tricks. It's a an idea I'm working on...
  5. :-D magic... (I hanged it with fishing line and used a little photoshop magic after)
  6. Hi, I wanted to share a vignette I made, to show you how smart and talented monkeys are... :-D the brickshelf folder thank you for your interest and coments...
  7. Hi this is a vignette I made a few days ago when a AFOL friend of mine was desperate waiting for his Cafe Corner to arrive at the post office. I added a ballon with speech, so I call it a Lego cartoon. brickshelf folder
  8. Exactly... That's just what I said in my comunity forum. I have bought recently the IR cargo train and I think it is a great set and I don't dislike the IR sistem either. But this set beeing more directed to the 9v motors really holds me on buying it (that and the lack of money of course |-/ ) but I think it might be a good solution to put the IR battery and motor base inside a waggon. If someone with a good selection of pieces want's to try this I would love to see some ideas. Of course the set is great even if you don't have a motor to put in, you still can buikd a lot of wagons and stuff... I will buy it as soon as I can... this and the corner cafe.
  9. I think your tractor looks great! I love small (but not simple) mocs. I have tried to do a small but reallistic 4w tractor before but without luck...please post the instructions or at least some pictures of the dissasembled moc so we can learn from you *sweet* Thanks
  10. Hi, I have been busy doing some comics with fotos of my mocs, I only have one in english for now but I intend to translate the others... If you want to check up the exam The others in the brickshelf folder are only in portuguese, but please look and coment... PS: I want to ask a favor to the people who are fluent in english here, do you think the text is ok? if you see some mistake please let me know. Thanks

    the exam

B-V-18F Hi, I wanted to share with you a little moc I made, it's a story about how endoscopy exams were done in the 80s. Back in the 80s the technology was still very rudimentary and a lot of things we have this days didn't exist then. Well, for those who don't know, in the 80s we used those big VHS tapes and cameras to record video, so if you imagine an endoscopy in those days it must have been very painfull... (for those who don't know what an endoscopy is it's better not to see the images, they might be disturbing for sensitive folks) OK, if you want to... don't say I didn't warn you. Here we have the doctor's lab The doctor check's his tools The doctor put's the tape in the camera (Oh no, it's the video of my vacations in Egypt, I'll have to erase it) The doctor...were's the doctor!? In the end if the patient survived it was a good thing (for the doctor of course, he was getting paid) If you want to see the complete story go to my Brickshelf And now you know why minifg Ryo has two faces...
  12. Hi, I prefer the version with sloping only on the sides, not in the front, that would be the more realistic. I think It's a nice small moc and a good start for something bigger, like a modular moc.
  13. Great work, the gun is brilliant.
  14. awsome work! I specially like the machine gun hand and the head.
  15. I like the idea, could you tell us what kind of lab is it?

    shop

It looks nice. But what kind of shop is it?
  17. Thank's... The exaust pipes are so simple, it's a pity those pieces don't exist in chrome. I was searching Bricklink and these fabuland scooters, only came out in red, blue and yelow I think, it would make a very colourfull bike gang. *sweet* , but I am considering it.
  18. Thank's for your nice comments. :-$ . Fabuland was a very good theme in my oppinion, a lot better then this 4+ sets (like pirates or jack stone) it was a diferent universe and added variaty to the lego world. It's a pitty I don't have more of these bikes so I could make a motorcycle club. I'm going to search bricklink right now! *sweet*
  19. Hi, For some time I wanted to do somethig with a fabuland bike I have from my childhood. I spend a few hours scrathing my head and came out with this. The bike looks big but this sort of bikes can be big in reality too, and this one is about the same size as the new lego bikes (like the police) so by today's standards is minifig scale. See also the brickshelf folder for the details. Chopper Rebel Thanks for looking and commenting.

    butcher's shop

relax everybody I ashure the monk...sorry, rabbit didn't suffer at all. In fact the arms and legs were allready a bit lose. Besides he thinks it's a small price to pay for his 15 minutes of fame. As for Grandma having a beard...well it's not that unusual, who never saw a bearded woman before? But I don't deny that she was a pirate before...

    butcher's shop

B-V-17D Hi I just wanted to show you a small moc of a butcher's shop. The butchers name is Machado (in portuguese means axe, is common family name here). Machados brother is a farmer and has a plantation of palm tree leafs. Machadoss brother plantation is infested with this strange kind of rabbits that have long tails and dont like to eat grass, instead prefer to jump and play in the palm trees. Well now the rabbits are the weekly promotion in Machados butchery, and they are selling quite well. Everybody likes the rabbit meat, except for grandma who has an eye problem and bad teeth thats why Machado bought the new meat grinder grandma loves hamburguers. You can see the rest of the photos here brickshelf And here you can see Machado's brother, Manel, he's taking Grandma to the eye doctor. Thank you for looking and coment.
  23. I vote for Jipay. But Mr Phes shinning armour shure looks great...he must be a rich pirate :-D
  24. Hi I've been in the shadow for the last months, but I always take a look at the forum to see the new stuff. Thanks for the compliment on my avatar. The head is from the Dino 2010 theme.
  25. Independent from the funcionality aspects of both ships, (cannons, sails...) my opinion is just for the looks. I don't have the SES. But I can say that when I first came out of my dark age (not long ago) the reason I started to love the pirate theme was the Black Sea Barracuda! I didn
