V-LV-22F Hi, I want to show you my new Lego car. Earlier I was a bit fundamentalist about 4wide cars, but now I think I'm getting used to see them bigger so... Brickshelf folder Thank you for looking and comments
-
It also works with a bicycle... you just have to push harder

Hi, I bought the 10200 and I liked the cars a lot, great building techniques and great looking, but I think the yellow one is a bit strange and inferior to the other 2. When building it I liked some details but the overall desing just doesn't work for me. So heres my version of it. I used most of the original parts and some bits of the original construction, just redesigned the back, the front, made a new motor and a new roof. I still consider it a WIP, mainly because of the front wheels, but I don't have better wheels for it now. and I also would like to arrange a way to fit 2 minifigs inside (side by side)... BS folder Thank you for your comments

Hi there, I usually post my new MOCs here, but this time ricecracker was faster than me I'm glad you liked my ice cream cart, thank's I wanted to make a simple build using the 2x2x2 container and that it would fit the old motorcycle. After one hour or so I came with that solution, it's not perfect but I am happy with it for now. Feel free to build your own of course, that's why I posted the photo of it disassembled, no big secret

Lego collectors with children in the house
rupi replied to Barbaros's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lego is just as any other valuable thing in the house (DVD, Stereo, CDs, books, laptop computer...) so if you have small kids you just have to keep some things away from them for their own safety. By the age of 2-3 years they start to understand how things work and want to explore and use the things they see grown ups using. As for my experience I have to thank my son for getting me out of the dark ages I play with Lego (system) with my son since he was 2 and a half years old. I even got my old sets from the 80's from my parents house and we played with them too. Only once he bited a minifig head trying to pull it out. Of course I told him that he could never put a Lego piece in the mouth again (but that should be aplied to all toys). Now, at the age of five he knows that some sets are mine and others are ours But he also have a bucket of pieces and some sets in his room that are for him to play. Almost all my sets and pieces are in reach and we never had problems, he always asks first when we wants to play with something that is mine. I think that if you play with your son from the beggining, and most important teach him to play, and help him to store pieces back in place after playing, you shouldn't have any problems with your Lego collection. So far I only see advantages in playing with Lego with my son, it is a wunderfull opportunity to be with him and share good moments doing a thing we both like. Another advantage is when it comes hollydays and birthdays it's Lego for both of us. The only problems I had so far is my nephews (who are older, but arent used to play with Lego) when they come to visit I never forget to lock up the room where I have Lego -
The difference in US and EU cash desks - A MOC

Your vig is right on I feel the same, it's not fair (I know, economy has nothing to do with fairness) -
Great stuff Al freddo I loved the rescue scene.

It's an amazing first train MOC I love all the details. I like to see black steam trains, and the red parts really gives this train a great look.

This is a great MOC, I love all the details You managed to put on it. The gold and silver parts look really good both on the loco and cars too.

Hi, I want to show you my entry for the Gominimango contest on The Brothers Brick. The title of the contest make me think of action scenes so I build this: here is the Brickshelf folder and the Flickr And if you want to check the other great entries Thank you for your comments

Thank's The intention was to make it look made of stone, that's why I used only gray (and if I had more gray I would make it bigger but...) About the forest version, humm... it would be a tree monster, like the walking trees in the LOTR
-
Thank's. I'm glad people liked the comics... About the "mudguards", I hate them as mudguards, but they make good chairs and window arches and other stuff...

This set was on my wanted list for a long time and the sales at S@H came just in time I also loved the set, and like you only put the stickers on the toll both (it looks great on a town layout with almost no modifications). The racers are great. The trucks and the limo are the best in my oppinion. The sticker sheet is huge, but I've seen bigger. Stickers over multiple pieces are the worst The slammers are ok, but not great. I played with my 4 years old son and we tryed to do what shows in the box (the cars passing the toll, jumping the ramps and crashing the trucks) but it is very difficult to get it right. But the crashes are very fun.

You are right... Hinckley is the exception They are both bad, but that piece I can't see how to use it as a chair or window arch, so is just another <insert that tiresome argument> big piece like so many others doesn't even deserve my attention
-
Sorry for the delay Here's the next piece on my list: I understand that some of you won't understand why I put this piece on the list... Let me explain. Since the first time I saw this piece I hated it, it's hard to put it in words but I simply don't see the point of this piece, I don't like it shape , it size... I know that it can be used in lots of situations as window arches or else, but as mudguards, please... could't you Lego designers came up with something better Just one question to prove my point: Show me some good MOCs made by AFOLs where this piece is used as mudguard?
-
Thanks I think this moc have room for improvement too I just don't know when I'll do it. The head doesn't look completly like I wanted, but... (it was made almost exclusively with the pieces from an 7657, and for now I don't have much of a choice with grey pieces)
-
Thanks Like I said this is my personal list, there are lots of other pieces that I don't even have so no need to talk about them. But the discussion about this thread shows that I'm hitting some weak spots My main goal is to have fun with Lego, with or without bad pieces

This is a mythical sea monster loosely based on the one described in "Os Lusiadas" portuguese epic poem by Camoes. A monster that lives in the sea and destroied many ships when trying to pass Cape of Good Hope. The name given to it was "Adamastor". I choose the vikings to challenge it and it seems that they had no luck this time Thanks for your comments. See the BS folder.

No, it have been confirmed that the smoth slopes are due to a problem in the molds. The good are the ones with texture But is all going to be normal again, as soon as they sell all the "bad" parts they still have in stock
