  1. My problem with colors is not "old vs new" colors. The problem is bad color accuracy, same colors have differences in new bricks, this is a production problem. Yes there are even different blacks, I didn't belive either till I saw it. The diference is the glossy look, some black (new) pieces are almost matte.
  2. Thanks Zepher and yorkiejim The thing with these color variations (that's the main problem) is that they are no longer in one color, in the begining they were more noticeable in the "new brown" pieces but I have variations in tan, orange, yelow, even black pieces
  3. Another one for the list. This one is not a piece, but several pieces (unfourtunatly)
  4. I am a proud owner of this set this is one of the best fire stations ever. What amazes me is what the designers made with only 368 pieces. You get a very nice looking building in good size, a good baseplate, 2 cars, 4 minifigs, accessories... and great alternative ideas in the back of the box (like the fire boat or helicopter). This is a great example of Lego design.
  5. The use of 1x2 bricks in large one color walls gives a much more interesting texture and realism. If it is a MOC for a display rather play it's the way to go I have seen even walls with plates 1x2, and they look amazing. See this example: Lbaixinhos tower of Belem
  6. I don't post here that often, but I want to say that I have been folowing and really enjoy your comics Dr. Sinister. ...Keep them comming. I also like to make Lego comics
  7. Very nice vignette I like the claustrophobic mood of it. And I sure recommend reading the book
  8. And still going... #07 XL Car Base Some of you probably never saw one, unfourtunately I have one to show you Thank you for staying tuned and commenting
  9. If they are used with Fabuland minifigs but no... lots of Fabuland accessories are used now in regular minifigs sets.
  10. Don't want this topic to get cold, so here comes N08 Thank You.
  11. That's even more strange, if the black is painted on the helmet why aren't they flesh like the others?... So my vig is right, someone really hates Stormtroppers I'm glad you are enjoying my top 10 so far, that was the major purpose
  12. And Nº 9 Most Hated piece is...
  13. Don't take my hate too serious. The first fleshie I got was Indiana Jones, and it wasn't as bad as I suspected About N
  14. Hi I want to show you my personal list of the top 10 most hated LEGO pieces. This is a project I had in mind for a while but only now I got the time (and will) to finaly start it. My idea is to make some funny vignettes about each piece and the reason I hate it. I will try to update the list regulary untill I get to the nº 1 most hated piece Here is the first- Nº 10 most hated piece keep checking the Brickshelf folder for updates Thank you for looking, and please don't be angry with me if I hate one of your favourite pieces

    Vignette: Downhill

Thanks for the comments I didn't knew the name in English in Portuguese we call it "carrinho de rolamentos"
  16. B-V-3F Hi there, I don't know how you call this little "vehicle", it was very common in my childhood. I always wanted to make a real one (I tried when I was a boy but never came out very good) anyway this is the Lego version: BS folder Comments are appreciated
  17. Thank's everybody for the good feedback I'll try to answer some questions. I agree with you about the size of the sign a little bigger would be better. The windows are supposed to be painted, the brown one is to look like the paint as come off. The black plates on the tracks, (that's funny that someone thought it was coal) the question is simple is to mark the tracks as this will be part of a mixed layout of several participants and we have to separate our pieces in the end. I have to say that the pieces of this MOC are not mine, a friend who is a great builder (lbaixinho) lend me the pieces as I don't have that much of a collection yet. The complaint about the name "Los Legos" it was a member of our community ( 0937) that suggested the name for the western layout and this was the most voted. I'll try to post photos of all the layout when it is complete (the event will be in the end of May).
  18. Thank's Hinckley I really enjoyed making this MOC, I'm glad you liked it.
  19. Hi, I have seen really good Western MOCs here on EB and now I would like to show you a train station I made for a western layout our comunity is preparing :Los Legos. See the rest of the pictures on Brickshelf PS: I had some tips from a friend (lbaixinho) who is making some great western MOCs for the layout too... Thank's for looking and commenting.
