    It was in September and it is a hole team: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-hiring-confidentiality-director-leaks/ Anyway they have been working against leaks for many years and and my feeling is that we got a lot more leaks a few years ago compared to the most recent years. They often happened earlier as well I think, now leaks happen a lot of the time say under 24 hours before the reveal and are not very useful

    Can you post a link with the picture? I is the first time TLG has made a set with fish under the ice right or fish under the water for that matter? Edit: found it

    Since it is a friends penguin that is more likely, they probably used the budget to make the part in that colour and the Chinese new year theme just took advantage of the part being available

    That was my plan also, but since I have not been to a Lego store since 2019 I might be able to get it from B&P before BAM (a lot of stores even has prebuilt minifigs so making army-building animals even harder)

    There is also one in the aquarium in the lower right corner of the other set That is odd, but I think you are right, however as long as the normal one is the minifig one I am happy Hopefully it will not be so experience and pop up on B&P..

    The Chinese new year sets are always packed with parts in new colours, lots of minifigs and great sets all around, but animal moulds has never been the strong suit in the theme. However this time it looks like we are getting a couple of birds in the sets: https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-chinese-new-year-2022-sets-revealed/ The first one is the normal small bird ("white sparrow") that is so common in sets now that it is almost not worth mentioning (hopefully we can get a pigeon soon that become just as normal in sets ), the second one is the penguin that is not common at all in sets I could be wrong since since the pictures are so small so it is hard to see What do you think? Do you see other animals there?

    I do not think it is the same one the old one came with ladybugs and flowers so they where probably the same "part" (all of them made at the same time and put in a bag) the old one has a hole in the center, this one do not from the looks of it

    Yes unless there is a GWP you really want on day 1, that is the stupidest day moneywise to buy a set I did the same, so far I have not bought any HP sets from this year except the DA minifigs and I would loose money on all of them buying directly from Lego. So I choose those two since only one shop have them here and they probably are not coming with a big discount later. To bad we do not have any Lego shops in Norway, since I would have liked to got the polybag in the deal as well

    The 3 coming sets for the new Disney has a few animals included and why most of them probably are friendsefied the butterflies may be useful. Friends had a part with insects and flowers a few year ago, so it may be a return of that or maybe something new.. The home alone set comes with two small birds without any eye-printing for the first time..

    So now since 2 sets that previously was not picked are chosen, ideas well be run over by older sets that already made it to 10 000 once

    Could the female with the toucan be a Adventure fig like Pippin Reed? Would fit in nicely with the Johnny Thunder fig we got a couple of year ago

    The pressure is getting bigger and bigger so I think they just wait for the right set to include it , maybe the anniversary set next year if that is a Castle set Nice, I assume that is going to be billy goats so a little bigger and baaader then the old cute mill village raid ones. However as long as they make the mould as the new juvenile crocogator in the Marvel CMF is should be no problem to use it in a farm or castle theme later

    The problem is that fantastic Lego designers like Jamie after a few years gets promoted and soon they are not designing sets at all, but leading a team of designers, judging Lego masters etc. It that is what they want then good for them (and mostly our loss), however I wish more of them do like Marcos Bessa. He basically decided that he was most happy designing Lego sets and started doing that again after years of mostly leading others. Just wait and see as we loose people like Mike Psiaki and Justin Ramsden as designers to administration My point is that Jamie probably have no time to design next years modular, but I would be happy to be proven wrong

    Strange that someone has managed to get a picture of them that early in the process, I am not saying they are not real, but no wonder they hire a team of leak hunters Even if they are real, some prototypes do not end up as new moulds in the end, so I would feel much safer we are getting them if they had been finished in the picture and that is the most important thing, so the chances are good we are getting them I guess

    That is right, so there is still hope As long as a potential new DA set can stand on its own, they may make it compatible with the one we have now. However my hope for a yearly DA expansion set with a shop or two has gone since we did not get one this year. Of course the winter village and the fairground lines both had a compatible set years before the line rebooted/started up

    That sounds likely now that you mention it It also came in 6418 Country Club the same year.. My guess is that it will be as different/similar as the old horse vs the new, of course with printed eyes, but without movement.. If we just could get a new farm wave next summer in City I am sure we will get some cows with a calf and maybe even a piglet mould

    3 animals with 12 figs is not bad and 2 new ones and maybe one new colour Still was sure they would use the new sheep mould this time with a shepherd fig, but that was probably too obvious and Lego do not like that when it comes to animal moulds
