LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes, the horses even has the same colour right? -
What has happened with City?! We get the normal winter wave with to me mostly uninteresting sets like police, fire etc. Other than the horse transporter and to some extent the small park set I have little interest in them. However they put interesting animals almost in every set, it is almost like the most animal mould fans among the Friends designer have started working on City instead We get: a new squirrel in 3 colours in at least 5 sets a new updated kitten mould in 3 colours in at least 4 sets a recolour of the turtle in 1 set a recolour of the horse in 1 set In addition to all the more normal animals like dogs, cat, crab etc. I hope for a hole flock of pigeons next in a City wave soon

I can not find the picture of the horse transporter, but from what I hear it has a horse in some kind of brown color and a husky?! Not the first time we get a husky instead of a more interesting animal in a set Another horse or foal would be best or even the new squirrel or another rarer dog would have been better if that is the case.. Is it 2 brown and 1 grey squirrel in the sets?

Sweet It is a very nice addition to forest animals I am sure the dog will show up soon as well, since the moulds where in the same picture earlier so since the squirrel exist the dog must as well Not in my book, but people have different opinions so you can count it if you like It is a fun play-function at least I think the minidoll insects work well enough with minifigs, and the ladybug was in a CMF first anyway. I have the bee and ladybug, but will buy some butterfly when I get the chance and i am sure they will come in more colors later

What makes you think it won’t? Ninjago City Gardens came out three years after Docks & it’s compatible. They can do a "Ninjago City" yes, however if you want people to collect a series it is better to give them time to get all sets from the beginning. I am sure there are people that do not buy Gardens now because they did not buy the first sets. The modulars on the other hand come out once a year, so new collectors can buy 3-4 sets that is for sale now and then start collecting the next ones (and some maybe try to find older ones for a decent price). If would make more sense to give out a DA set every year now so people know that it is annual thing and not a stand-alone set instead of staring that 2-3 years from now

We will see, but I prefer new ones if I can choose, but the grey one is better than another white one. I do think this is a different color on this new one anyway other than grey

Yes, that was a good start, maybe we will see more owls in the HP sets this year

It must be the official reveal yes, because the leaks have more or less dried up now However people say a lot of sets are being revealed all the time without it happening, so I am not holding my breath for any of them
-
I would have preferred the mould in red deer colors, since that is what it is Has that ever happened that a "minifig" animal has come in 3 wrong colors before the right one? I know the friends animals come in all possible crazy colors in those small boxes,

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Roebuck replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
My impression is that a lot of sets leak 24 hours or less before the reveal lately because all the press material are sent out then and they are shared with someone who leak them, or sometimes a store employee take a picture of a new set when it arrives in the store. It is not like the have revealed CMF series 22 even if they leaked some time ago -
Yes, Lego designers can not talk about future sets, so they will give a politician answer to those questions, what you read into them is not necessarily right It is only a matter of time before we get something from DH in my opinion, sooner or later we will get something from DA as well, but the chance for it being compatible with the D2C DA is getting smaller every year

I will be sure to mention if it ever happens

A calf if we ever get a new farm subtheme The lion cubs will probably come in different colors as other species if we get a set where they can fit in.. I am still waiting for a flock of pigeons for my modular street

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Roebuck replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
The design lead is Jamie since he is the leader of the theme that makes them I assume you are referring to the designer of the set Jamie unfortunately do not seem to have any time to do any designing of sets the last years, maybe he will do the 20 year anniversary set, but do not think 15 years is enough to draw him back Astrid has moved on to other tasks long ago, so no way Mike Psiaki has already done one several year ago and do seem very busy with other big sets so no Florian Müller done one and moved on is my guess Nick Vás has not done any other than a couple of small details on a couple 5+ years ago, he could have done one then, but not now I guess Chris McVeigh did the last one so it is a small chance he will do it, but my guess is someone new probably someone that has not worked for Lego for very long. The last 4 designers have done 1 each and moved on, so I assume they will keep this trend up. It is probably a great honour among designers to do one and a new person can bring something new to the model, so it makes sense to swap designers every year (unless Jamie wants to do one again) -

That is fair I assume that is how a normal horse girl/farmer girl looks today, so the test groups like and recognize that. To me personally it would be much better if we got a medieval stable-girl etc or a native American girl with the foal, however I understand that may be to specific and maybe not so popular among the "horse girls" in the test groups Well said You have a point or two, but the reason vidiyo failed was definitely not because of the minifigs -

I think time will prove you wrong The JP set did not have the time and the 2 others are Ideas sets with 0 budget. A City farm set have the budget to do it, but personally I think it will come with a Castle set (anniversary set next year maybe). Take the MF it was not a big seller back in the day, but as time went the price increased and the demand skyrocketed so they made a new one even bigger that sold like crazy. Look at the goat prices on BL they are insane, so any set that brings the goat back will sell a lot of copies just because it is goats in the set -

That might be, but to me personally it is all about the new animals I can get from the CMF. I want the best/most useful fig to come with the animal, but would buy it no matter how bad it was. If we do not take the animals into consideration the only figs I really want from the CMF are Castle, Pirates and Native American figs and those are rare maybe one or two per series in total (I still end up buying City, costumes etc also). However if they did not use the accessories to make some of the figs unique the CMF would be a rather boring to me.. -

Yes, but they make new moulds all the time, so to remake a mould should be even cheaper and simpler. However we need a theme/set with a high enough budget to be able to bring back the goat and have a need for it. -In the Jurassic park set they wanted to include it and may have the budget to do it, but from what I understand they had not the time to make a new mould when they found out it was broken. -The Ideas blacksmith had so low budget that they had to choose between a horse and a hen, the designers even asked one of the bosses for a bigger budget so they could bring back the goat, but was turned down That is just your speculation, you have no sales numbers to back that claim.. No it did not have any chickens/ hens since they did not exist at the time! 2 cows, 5 pigs, 1 horse, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 rat I believe So not very animal heavy at all except the 2 sets with pigs I agree with most of this, but I believe the goat mould was not just made for that set in mind, however several years went before they had any use for it again and then it was to late I assume the test groups show that minidoll-theme buyers want those kind of animals just like they want minidolls instead of minifigs I agree with the Playmobil sets they are always full of animals if it is a farm set or similar and they often put some in other sets as well. They even manage to make and sell pirates and castle sets every year, two of the first Lego themes from 30-40 years ago that Lego more or less have stopped making -

I do not think that say much since if I do not remember wrong they had heavy discounts back in the day whenever a subthemes time was up, to get them quickly of the shelf's. It even had 1,5 waves, why release more sets if the first ones sold poorly I had dinner on the inside tour with a City designer in 2019 and asked about farm sets. From what I can remember other subthemes had done better when they was testing it in target groups. E.g. maybe they made some farm sets and some police sets and the police sets was more liked among the kids (I am not sure exactly how they do it). Anyway this can be changing since several farm sets has apparently passed the test lately and made it out on to the shelf's. In addition the safari subtheme was very animal focused, so maybe a farm subtheme focused 50/50 on animals and vehicles is not so unlikely now -
Likely and likely, but they might do it if it has another colour in the set
