Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Roebuck replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
It is a 4+ set so why should we care how many parts there are in the set as long as it is plenty of new animals in it? I am sure it is the normal cow, but with a new print/color, 3 new moulds and at least 6 animals in total in the set. It it had been a D2C set we AFOLs could have given negative feedback if we did not like the design, however in this case the designer have been given the task of designing a 4+ farm set for $70. So to plan giving negative feedback on a 4+ set based on the number of parts before even seeing the set is rather 4+ behavior We have been waiting over a decade for new farm sets and I for one hope that there is a bigger set in the wave aimed at older kids (or if I shall dream even a D2C for adults), however the animals are most important and we get a lot of them at least -
Yes it is almost like they are trolling us with the goat boat (if they are brick-built) I am sure it is just a way to pouring gas on fire, to increase the hype before we finally get a set with goats again

Me too! However 564 parts for 50 euro in a Marvel set do not sound like it has a new goat mould in it Probably something like this :

If they are moulds I am sure they at best are some mean-looking billy goats, probably something bigger that could be very useful in a fantasy setting, but not in a City farm etc

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Roebuck replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I also got the mail a couple of days ago.. The animals got the short stick unfortunately: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-pick-a-brick-auswertung-preisanpassungen/ -
We will see, but last year we got icons D2C and not one of us had guessed that beforehand. I want a DA expansion as much as the next one here, but would not be surprised if they surprise us with something different again
-
I do not remember the exact wording, but could you not eat a Lego minifig hand and be home free (kids do not do this at home)? Something like this do you mean
-
What?! I do not have Instagram so I can not see it, that is too bad when I finally have my international Instagram breakthrough With my memory I am not even sure what posts we are taking about Edit. Thanks to @krimimimi I could see the post

They hopefully save the best for last

I do not think so unless some other set bring back the goat mould this year, however there is a small hope in a set like that

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

That would have been a way to counter the new issue with parts going missing when they are out of stock and the new fees, nice that they have removed that possibility also -
Yes it was a joke It was not referring to you, but aimed the statement at promobricks, HP normally leak before SW I think, but I assume it is more popular now so they save it for last
-
Who care about SW, give us HP
-
It made very little sense anyway. Yes Elves was something the core minidoll-buyers liked (as well as a lot of afols), but a Castle minidoll theme is that something young girls like?! Apparently not even young boys like it enough since Lego has not made it in almost 10 years In addition why call it knights when it is females, maidens, valkyries, amazons etc would have made more sense

I am sure they will give us the price we got when we ordered since I assume it is illegal to do otherwise, however I will be a thing to double check when we get the horses etc so the price has not changed.. How about BAM? -

If that is right, the price of the horse is insane and it was expensive before The set cost 30 euro full price and if you get it on sale for e.g. 20 euro the horse is more than half the cost, so I guess BL will be a contender again for some animals We have not been spoiled with small sets with a horse and a minifig the last 10-15 years, but that was rather common previously with themes that had a lot of horses, so if we got that today the price of the horse would be higher than the set, makes no sense Just a few examples: -
I was in Billund this week and they did not have the new ones there. The employees had to pick the parts so I assume that is why they had less variety in BAM parts from when I was there last in 2019. Hope it is possible to pick them myself next time I visit
-
Yes I know that , but how many traditional sets from space/castle/bionicle/pirates can the Lego fans choose from now a days One 200$ set from one of those themes should be possible for the 90th anniversary right
-
You may be right, but: there was the fan vote this time that made a lot of headlines and we get a lot of sets now we never would have got even 5 years ago.. they can make a lot of stuff to celebrate the anniversary in addition to this so why not give the fans what they want it is 10 years to the 100 years so would not say just around the corner and anyway why would that stop them from celebrating now? A great space/castle/bionicle/pirate set would make that dedicated fanbase really happy and sell a lot to them, probably sell to someone outside that core group as well. Compared to say a football stadium how many do buy that who are not fans of the team?
-
I know I am setting myself up for disappointment here, but I am only interested in Castle and Pirates and expect something similar to B-bay in size and splendour. I have no interest in anything like 40290, then I rather wish that space or bonkle wins so those fans can get a set they want instead of something like that

Would not surprise me and it is very cute, in addition I would like to see they use the adult mould again in a set. The cats has got some love in City this year so maybe we will finally see her, but I think we will get Fang first if the dogs vs cats ratio is anything to go by

Yes that could happen if it is some kind of anniversary series. However it is a little bit of a wasted opportunity for Lego to boost sale for the first set with a goat, but maybe they do not think that way -

As long as animals can be used as live ones later I had actually thought that could be a nice way to get some animals in the modular street, use several of them in the sign or the wall to advertise the shop However a D2C farm set would be my choice as a tie-in
