LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
Roebuck replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Welcome Good to hear that there is 3 sets per box, that should be positive since none of the figs will get crazy expensive on the secondary marked due to them being rare (off course some of the army-builders will be more expensive anyway) -
I really hope that they give us what "we want" this time and not as similar to the original as possible. Just look at the barracuda bay set, the original was great and I was really looking forward to getting it as close as possible. The set turned out rather different, but in my mind probably the best set this year. It is a joy to build, looks great, have a lot of nostalgia for old pirate fans and the option to turn it in to a ship is just pure genius. This set however is a great moc, but probably need to change quite a lot before it is a great set. The house is to big and is not is scale with any prior castle set, just look at the big tree in the set that is dwarfed by the house. There if a decent amount of animals in the set, but I would not mind more and especially number of minifigs should be increased. Add a knight with a squire riding in to buy something so it would tie it more to the castle theme (do not get me wrong i love civilian figs)..

That is a no-brainer, they could even give us a team pack for every house without making a single new element for the minifigs. Even if they only include one fig we got before on each team they could do it as long as rest of the team consist of figs we never would get in other sets. If they did it would be interesting to see which one that sold best and worst. The accessory packs are really just old stuff we have gotten before in a new wrapping with some new interesting parts added for seasoning. So I guess it will only be one Quidditch pack with a fig from every house, 3 of 4 are probably figs we already got in one way or another. Lego loves Cho and Cedric so I assume Gryffindor or Slytherin gets the unique fig

Do not know if this is news for you guys, since I do not follow the theme closely However a small bird said to me that there are coming a Luigi set next year that allow for a new 2 player experience..

I wonder since it has Ideas on it that it will not be a modular GWP, but rather a Ideas one or a generic one However still think the modular is most likely, the January promos should pop up soon right?

Nice to get everything unique in one place Looking forward to the BAM opening up again

I have been thinking the same lately. While I am a dog person and I guess most of the Lego designers are as well with the number of different dogs they have made compared to cats , I find it strange. Especially in HP a theme I follow closely there have been several sets that should have a cat that did not and in one case we got a cat, but should have got a new cat mould. 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow include Argus Filch who is never far away from his cat Mrs Norris, but in the set she is missing. While a new mould is not necessary for her a new colour would be fitting. 76382 Hogwarts Moment: Transfiguration Class includes Minerva McGonagall who transforms into a cat in the class. While a new mould is not necessary for her a new colour would be fitting. 71022: Hermione Granger with Crookshanks. It got a new colour, but a new mould would be more fitting. However we are still missing all of the dogs in HP, so this may be a bad example. Dogs breeds are more different than cat breeds, but I agree with you a long haired variant should be made

Well with the centaur in next series I am not so sure you are right, and with the biggest they could include a juvenile instead of an adult. The elephant would be difficult, but that one had a mouse so I do not complain, the rest should be doable
-
If it is similar to the old version I do not think many will buy it However it most likely will look great like almost everything else in this theme probably closer in detail to the barracuda bay ship and kids love ships like that so I am sure it will sell Me too and with all the ships that came this year it makes more sense to wait
-
This is a good Idea! If Lego must give us 1 costumed for every 4th character then at least they should give us a animal mould included of the ones that are dressed up like animals to make them more useful
-
I do not see the lobster, unique BAM cat or seagull, but the rest of the animals are there

It was last year I think and most likely it will be a GWP with the next modular building in January. So far this is just speculation on my part, but the time and timing makes most sense I believe I have said it before, but I do not think a second task with the ship is likely at all Why make one set when they can make two and they need every set they can think of too feed this theme in the coming years I am sure we will see both in due time , but they are not high on my wish-list especially the ship so I hope they do not take any spots next year
-
Would make sense and maybe I can get two for one if I am forced to buy the new modular on day one to get the GWP car

The designer Nick Vas is a big fan of the Lego frogs and has made a Brickset list of sets he have made that include frogs https://brickset.com/sets/list-37710

The designer of among other things; Ninjago city; Nick Vas has joined the Harry Potter team. He has designed the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff books and is depicted on the portrait sticker in the former. Hopefully he will have the chance of creating a new building in DA in the future

Yes, but if I remember correctly they did not do it last year, or am I dreaming? -
Front is printed, back is clean, inside is mostly stickers

Here are all 4 in one review:

Had not noticed earlier, but shop@home has a "interest" category and animals is first on the list there So that should probably increase the sale of those sets and in turn Lego will make more
