Then everything is amazing I have just have a quick look at the pictures earlier and only the biggest set had owls that I could see, if there is something every anniversary set should have in plenty it is owls like in the old days It was rather time consuming to read true all the new post so I do not bother go back and find people to quote this time.. Regarding Fawkes I think he comes in the set, but "just" the mould from CMF. All in all the sets are things we have been asking for and new stuff this time around, prelims are always bad so nothing new there. The problem is of course the change of style with the castle not that it is bad and they could definitely have made this in the previous years style. I really look forward to hear designer interviews regarding the summer waves. Do they feel that 2018-2020 Hogwarts sets are done now and try for something new or are this year a one of anniversary round before it is back to business next year? I am sure they have a reason for doing it this way other than making the theme last longer, if that was the case they would just have made it in the "normal" style.

Exactly! If i remember correctly Lego planned (plan A) to make around 20 sets for this theme when they started. That is 5 per year for every 2 movies and that was what we basically got in 2018 (the CMF, D2C etc was to give HP/FB a flying start) What happens is that the sets are selling like hot cakes, even better than Lego could have hoped for with 4 of the top10 bestselling sets at Lego that year So time for plan B make more sets, however that takes time, but they managed to throw together a AC in the last minute, the FB sets did probably not sell as well as HP and the movie is delayed so they managed to give us a couple of HP instead in 2019. The theme are still selling a lot so time for plan C, no way Lego is shooting the golden goose after 4 years, so the 5 sets per 2 movies from plan A do not make any sense any more. Better start saving characters for future minifigs and sets as well, so in 2020 we only get 4 sets from the 5-6 film. However now they have managed to make a new D2C, CMF etc and privet drive that they originally skipped in 2018, in addition someone came up with the smart idea to make Hedwig that do not use up any spots for future minifigs or sets. then time for plan D, give us as few DH sets as possible since that is what a lot want and makes it look like the theme is finished. So 2021 starts of with a hole new January wave; a art set and 4 books that uses no new set and only variants of old figs that we want, so basically giving us something new without giving us something new. Then the June wave is anniversary themed so we get something new and something old, with several new minifigs however only minor characters so DH sets and sought after minifigs is saved for another day. What will august bring? Probably only a few if any DH sets and no DA set, but most likely more new stuff that do not give us sought after sets and minifigs as long as they can avoid it.. Next year is probably more of the same maybe a new CMF and D2C in the mix. I am sure everything will look great and we will get insane amounts of unlikely minifigs as time goes, but we are in a marathon now with fan favourite sets and minifigs miles apart from the last one I am sure the sets are great, just not what we expect To me it is better to get hints from leakers that are legit that say that we are not getting what we want. However a lot are "running around like headless chickens" now so it seems like they prefer to get hints from fake leakers that are saying we are getting everything we want (like last year) Looks like SW is on a downhill with fewer sets every year, no wonder with the Disney tax and all the re-releases, hopefully HP do not follow in a few years

It is not like they never will give us DH sets so unless they have another 20 year excuse we will most likely get them next year, DA expansion sets is of course possible that we never will get however I really hope that is not the case. After all they must fill the set-spots in the coming years and unless they only give us re-releases than DA sets seems like a no-brainer to me None taken, far down my list also I just gave it as an example of a unlikely, but not impossible set we could get

I agree, there is no reason why the sets should be bad! Maybe not what we expect, but that do not mean bad, it is HP after all If the 250$ set turn out to be FB, I would be really surprised especially since it is not coming a film this year, however I would not mind since I am sure the set would be great and the minifigs very useful to get. If the first wave is anniversary and the second FB (or something else), it only means that we will get DH and the DA set next year. Maybe it is a wizard chess set, we got this once after all:

I do not think kids (i assume they are ending up with the sets bought on my local mall) care much about that, however that could be a selling point for AFOLs indeed

The new tractor has already sold out in my local mall, from what I can see it is the only set that is sold out as well. This do not neceserrely mean anything other than that I live in rural area with a lot of farms, however hopefully that is the case in a lot of places so it will increase the chance for a new farm subtheme

I am sure their source is a retailer catalogue as well, so it is just preliminary pictures and things may change. I am pretty sure we will get a lion with a new head mould even if the pictures do not say so yet We will now for sure closer to summer

The parrot in the brick bank changed mould during the production of the set. And the shark that consist of 2 moulds had a transition where one of the moulds on the shark was new and one old in some sets I assume this is something Lego do when the mould is worn out, they find out if they should update it or make a identical one. If it is updated they probably use up the stock of the old one and then start using the new part in sets

At least not only about animals, but diver sets last year was at least to some degree even more focused on them and there we got 2 new fish moulds and 1 new head mould in addition to 2 recolours if I remember correctly. So it is already better than that probably, but we can hope for even more Gaining, but Playmobil is still in the lead :

It is possible so we can hope, but then the budget towards animal moulds must have increased a lot since the jungle sets in 2017 It got a new updated mould in 2015 and a new color in 2019 so I do not expect something new for that now. However it is a great animal to include since I am sure the kids love them

I saw this the other day and while I have no interest in bonkle and really hopes it do not win the 90 years vote. With fans like Eljay that did a really good job explaining to the rest of us what it is all about I hope that bonkle gets some sort of new wave of sets in the future that the fans are happy about

That is right there is some juvenile ones among the dinosaurs. No the triceratops-farms are rare nowadays And it is probably more: elephant juvenile elephant monkey Male lion, not confirmed, but I am sure they will use the opportunity to make one lion cub, more unsure about this one. They may use the cat-mould, however the set is really expensive so maybe they managed to put in a new juvenile mould and a lion head in the set crocodile, could come in a new colour or print since I am unsure the hidden side one is realistic enough (or it is just a stand in for the normal one) The polybag probably comes with the monkey or lion cub, the unknown big set I guess only one elephant and several lions (maybe male, female and cub) (to make it different from the other one) and a crocodile, unsure if they include the monkeys in that one, depends on the number of lions included I guess

Why must COS be under the great hall in the first place? Was it not way under the castle in the first place, so instead of trying to make COS fit under the GH and other similar sets under the rest of the sets to make a basement section, would it not be easier to do what they did the first time and make a basement with some small towers on the top and just connect them to the other sets and call it a day?

I guess some sort of combination of animals from the other sets maybe one in a new colour, if we get a new mould in that set I would be pleasantly surprised

What I am hoping for is a big follow up set from the B-Bay not a normal wave aimed at kids and that would probably not show up in any retailer catalogue (maybe next year is more likely)

We have gotten a decent number of new mould every year, last year we got on top of my head: flying owl wand box centaur fawkes butterbeer Hard to predict with animal moulds Lego will of course give us a lot of DH sets, it is only a matter of time The "2 films a year" thing started to shake last year and this year went out of the rails completely. Why is that? Because HP are doing so well that they need to keep the theme going and come up with new stuff. A lot of fans want DH sets, so maybe Lego decided to give us something else that we did not know that we wanted and save the DH for later. However I still believe we will get DH sets this year, even if most of the sets are, books, art and anniversary sets The HP team are doing an amazing job, so I am sure we and the theme are in the best of hands

Right, the question is what the voters will do when they have the choice between, Castle, Classic space and Pirates! A lot are fans of all 3 so may have voted for 2 or even 3 in the first round now they must make a choice. Bonkle on the other hand will probably keep almost every vote they got in round 1, but probably not get any more either. Those that voted for something else in round 1, may still vote now even if their favourites are out, but hard to know what they will choose To bad we must wait until next year to know

A big reason 3-1 is not my thing, this is most likely a classic castle set made in 2021 so I have little hope that I find it very useful
