  1. Yes, but the real question is why it is so hard for Lego to include animals in sets? It is only plastic, just another brick in the wall so if a set has 2000 parts why should it matter if 1 or 10 of those parts are animals? Take a look at Playmobil they have no issues with putting a lot of animals in sets Yes I voted for it and mostly agree with your excellent points. To me the animals were the most important for the same reasons as you! I long for a civilian castle build set to extend my Mill Village/Medieval Market Village. The original was way to big, but looks like Lego have made it smaller like I hoped they would do so maybe they will fit together now. Minifigs, mostly civilian, but I like that they included falcon soldiers, however 4 figs is not a lot..
  2. I think the building looks good and it is great to get a new tan horse However where is the rest of the animals I understand if they did not have the budget for a goat, but why not throw in a pig instead that was in 2 sets last year? there are several owls to choose from other sets in production so how hard can it be to include one? the chickens/hens can not be so hard to include either since they where in a set not long ago? if they can not include the new hare in a new normal colour, why not just include a rabbit? Why is it so hard to include animals in sets?! 10 years ago 7189 Mill Village Raid a normal retail set with half the price managed to include a new horse colour, a new pig colour, 3 brand new chickens/hens in 2 different colours and 2 brand new goats and now in a similar set made specifically to please fans for twice the price we get a new horse colour (and the old husky) and that is it
  3. The tan horse is great to get, but that was almost the minimum they could give us so on the animal side I think the set is disappointing
  4. Probably, shops run out of GWP at different times anyway, the question is if they got them in the first place since they are closed Welcome Depends on if you want it for display or prefer minifig-scale sets? If you can afford it I would recommend buying both
  5. No it was first in 60153: People Pack - Fun at the Beach, however the first Batman CMF had the lobster for the first time so maybe you confuse it with that
  6. As I have said previously it makes most sense to have them in separate sets and instead include another less known building with Gringotts if it turn out to be the 250$ one. I think if Lego do this right a annual DA set could come close to the hype of the modular, so I am really excited to see what we get this summer in that regard I am sure they have such a large budget now, and that is always new parts they want to make so I think we will get as many new parts as the last 3 years at least. E.g. just look at McGonagall's hatt/hair combo part
  7. Smart move! I never give up before they let me buy the animals I want
  8. Minidoll animals with doll-eyes and unrealistic round body-shape are normally not used in minifig themes where the animals are more realistically printed and shaped. However friends get a lot of animals and sometimes new species first e.g the turtle, luckily they often get a minifig version sooner or later
  9. The animals are obviously the most important so they add those first Is it not possible to add a small set from the normal shop to get free shipping if the total is over the "free shipping" threshold "down under"?
  10. As long as Lego is able to make new and exciting HP/WW sets I see no reason why they should not continue to do so in the future. I do not think any of us know when they are out of ideas either by looking into a teacup. We even got a winter wave for the first time this year From TLG side of things it is most obvious to make sets as long as they are selling like hot cakes. If they run out of ideas and just start remaking sets and they do not sell they will stop. However SW have at least partly doing that for years and they are still doing fine. In addition the HP/WW theme have done a fantastic job until now so I see no reason why they suddenly should start doing a crappy one
  11. Would not be surprised if that makes it. How often has small 20$ city sets made it to review, can not remember any on top of my head. It would be quick and easy to make without any licensing issues. I do not think many of the sets will make it this time either. I have no big favourites this round, but I am really hoping this makes it next time:
  12. Not sure, I think it is a little bigger, but that they will look OK together. It is more that it is in scale with previous castle sets I believe, the original was a lot bigger than any castle set
  13. Ok, sounded like he had died...
  14. I still believe Lego will give us DA as a new series to collect like the yearly Hogwarts parts. So to me it makes most sense to include less known shops with the well known ones instead of other well known ones that can sell themself. If the 250$ set is Gringotts and another shop is included it is probably something like broomstix and or magical menagerie since they are closest on this map;
  15. Normally not, but it depends on the budget it gets. Ideas set have had a low budget traditionally, some parts in new colours and a couple of printed parts and that is it. However they are so popular so maybe they have gotten a higher budget now that allow for new moulds if it is necessary What?
  16. No need to guess, it is Wes: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-ideas-to-release-medieval-blacksmith-set/ I wonder if this 3-4 figs and a horse rumour is just something the "IG leakers" picked up at stonewars where they assume that some figs and a horse also is included (from what I get out of translating the article). Have not seen the IG posts, but that is typically how one feather becomes 5 hens there
  17. 1 horse?! So the goat, owl, hare and 3 chickens are removed Sounds like a really bad call to me if true
  18. Welcome Close to zero online (Lego stores may still have them) since it sold out, but the ice skating GWP was not sold out when its time was up so that may come back later I guess I got a nasty surprise last night, the same moment as the GWP was available the Burrow set price increased 15 euro with a lot of other sets that also increased around 10% in Norway So basically I ended up paying 15-25 euro for the GWP since I could have gotten the set that much cheaper in other shops or at Lego 5 minutes earlier
  19. It looks good on first glance, however there better be some cool animal moulds and minifigs with the set
  20. Designer Nick Vas has made a new Lego animal world-record by including 101 frogs in the 10281 Bonsai Tree I wonder how long that will stand, a lot of the animal mould could be used for something different like flowers in this set so hopefully we will see similar animal mould usage in the future in other sets. I was hoping the ninjago gardens sett would include some animals of note, but so far I have only seen the husky and a frog Happy new year to every animal mould fan! Hopefully 2021 will bring us a lot of new ones and we sure are of to a good start with 101 frogs, 2 retriever dogs, dolphin and hermit crab
  21. Or they can do it on zoom or similar. Apparently Lego usually have a day in Billund where they present the new sets for the next half year for retailers where they can take the time they like and look at the new sets. Instead this year it was one hour presentation on zoom. What have I missed?
  22. Do you mean it runs out before the GWP period is over?! That depends on when it is released and how high the price limit is. It it it dropped a couple of weeks or later after the modular with a high price It probably will last a long time. Just look at the GWP live now; the limit is very high, a lot of the sets are sold out and not many new ones yet. However the most likely is that it is dropped with the modular and than I think the chance is good/bad that it will be sold out fast, just as the batmobile. I really hope I can combine it with the HP book of monsters if I am forced to buy the set for retail price to get the GWP. I guess we find out tomorrow, apparently there is a secret set on the shop calendar poster so that why we will not see it before then
  23. I bought a second set to make the ship and made a dock of most of the extra parts, so the pirates can unload their loot there and bring it to the island. I am not a MOC builder, but think the MOD is decent after one days work
  24. Unlike most deer species the reindeer calf get antlers the first year (both males and females have it as well) however it is usually only two long spikes
  25. Nice However I would have preferred it without the red nose
